I will suggest you to stop skin whitening creams because it reduces the natural melanin pigment and hence you get redness when exposed to sunlight

Hi, first of all, gradually reduce the frequency and number of use of hydroquinone cream (never stop abruptly!). Homoeopathic medicines can be taken which not only will reduce the bad or side-effect/s of that medicine gradually, but also will take care of your complexion. Medication: take one dose of nux vomica 1m once (at night after meals) followed by berberis aquefolium q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ 3 times a day for a month. Also, apply berberis aquefolium ointment on the whole face daily twice. Management: -apply tomato juice on your skin daily. -apply cucumber juice mixed with lemon. -mix fuller's earth (multani mitti) with little rose water and a dash of lemon in it and apply on the skin. Rinse it off once it is dry. Use schwabe's skin care soap, apply calendula & aloe vera cream immediately after bathing, apply bakson's suncare sunscreen 20-30 min. Before going out under the sunlight. At night, use bakson's papaya pack and after washing face apply it's fairness cream. Follow this daily regime and let me know your feedback.

Silky hair- 1. Always oil massage hair at least an hour before shampoo. 2. apply curd once weekly 1/2 hr before washing hair (1 hr after oiling). Use henna once a month with reetha & shikakai. 3. Shampoo weekly 2-3 times with a mild shampoo. Use conditioner (except the day when you apply curd/henna) Fair complexion: 1. Drink 3 litres water daily 2. Have lost of fruits & vegetables 3. Use a facepack made with fullers earth, sandalwood powder, lemon & milk-apply. Clean with rose water ice cubes after dry. Fruit packs of papaya/banana may also be used. 4. Use a sunscreen for face & neck. Use umbrella. Body build: 1. Practice strength exercises- squats, bench press, push ups 2. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs intervals 3. Include nutrient & calorie dense foods like cheese, paneer, fruit/nut milkshake, fruit lassi, nuts, oilseeds, dry fruits, atta halwa, stuffed paratha, egg, chicken fish, soyabean/tofu/nutrella, thicker rotis with ghee, rice with ghee, peanut butter, potato.

Sun screen can protect you from getting tanned but it cannot remove the tan. De tan your skin with yogurt/lemon/de-tan lotion or with laser treatment. Also, apply neutrogena sun screen every three hours, after cleaning the face.

Yes, like cold climate makes people look fair in the region. Staying in ac also keeps your skin free from sun damage. Even if you put your plants in ac, they will become healthy, same ways, our skin also does.

•Combine turmeric powder and gram flour. •Add oil and lemon juice to this. •Now add enough milk to get a paste like consistency. •Apply this mask to your face or any other body part where you have pigmentation. •Leave for 10-15 minutes. •Now wet your fingers a little and rub them on your face in circular motion over the dried mask. Give more attention to the pigment affected areas. •Do this for about 5 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. •Repeat this 2-3 times a week.

What makes you prone to Acne?

Acne is a disorder which is characterized by small red bumps on the skin or occluded pores in the skin such as blackheads. It can make people conscious of their appearance and result in low self-esteem and anxiety. It usually affects people who fall in the age group of 12-25, but sometimes older people also get affected.
 
There are various factors that makes the skin prone to acne. Acne occurs when overactive sebaceous glands (glands that produce oil in the skin) produce excess oil and the dead skin cells clog the pores of the hair follicle present in the skin. Inflammation occurs in the clogged hair follicle resulting in acne.
 
Some causes that makes your skin prone to acne are: 

  1. Diet: Following a proper diet is a key factor in keeping your skin healthy. Food usually doesn't cause acne directly but can cause other problems such as greasy skin that are linked with acne. However, foods high in iodides such as seaweeds consumed over time can cause acne. 
  2. Stress: Stress is another major cause that makes your skin prone to acne. When the body is stressed, it produces excessive testosterone (a sex hormone) resulting in excessive oil production. Stress also impairs the immune system of the body so that it becomes vulnerable to acne. 
  3. Cosmetics: Some cosmetics (usually oil based) tend to clog the pores of the skin which may result in acne. Using harsh cleansing agents can dry and irritate the skin. Also, gentle washing of the skin is recommended to avoid breakouts. 
  4. Hormones: Changes in hormonal balance can cause acne especially in the beginning of puberty. In some cases, women are affected by acne when the menstrual cycle stops. The acne caused by hormonal changes may also be genetic in nature.

I workout regularly and have a pretty much balanced diet. But the problem is I'm not able to achieve the physique I want because I'm not able to stay asleep for more than 5-6 hours P. S. THERE ARE no interruptions And the bedroom is dark as well. Thank you.

Hello lybrate-user- weight gain depends not only on diet but also on sound sleep. Try these ayurvedic tips and medicine- a) sleep at least 8-10 hrs a day (avoid day sleep, and do head massage with almond oil before going to bed). B) eat food according to your digestion over eating sometimes causes indigestion which in turn causes weight loss. C) increase dairy products and non-veg diet in your meals. D) use shatavari kalpa 1 tsp twice daily, ashwagandha pak 1 tsp twice. Madhu malini vasanta 1 tab twice a day. You will see improvements within few weeks.

1.Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. 2.Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water. 3.Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result.

Hello Dr. My ultrasound report says- Liver- is mildly enlarged however of normal echoes GB, SPLEEN,PANCREAS, BOTH KIDNEY, urinary BLADDER AND PROSTATE are NORMAL. IMPRESSION- 1-mild nonspecific hepatomegaly. 2-Mild gaseous distended small bowel loops seen in mid to lower ABDOMEN. 3-Wall thickness and peristalsis of small and large bowel loops are normal. 4-Grossly normal scan of kub region and rest of abdominal organs. Plzz sugg. Me.

Mr. lybrate-user What suggestion you need your scan is almost normal. You improve your eating habits don't take fast food, fried food Increase proteins in your diet. Don't use any intoxication (alcohol) or other material other wise your liver may show more problems. Live happy and good life do exercise, yoga.

It could be due to allergy. Take one tablet of levocetrizine at bed time for 2-3 days, apply calamine/dermocalm lotion for itching. Consult doctor, if no relief.

First of all, eat a balanced diet- eat green vegetables, nuts, fruits, milk and milk products, 12-15 glasses of water, green tea, flax seeds, etc. + relax yourself to keep anxiety/ anger/ fear at bay - do regular yoga or exercising (it keeps you healthy and young) + timely and 6 meals per day (after 2 hourly) + sufficient sleep (6-8 hours). Secondly, wash your face with herbal face wash meant for oily skin - 3 times a day + never rub your face hard. Multani mitti pack would be ideal for you. Homoeopathic medicine - natrum mur. 200/ one dose daily for a month.

Dark circles are mostly due to habits. Avoid rubbing eyes. Get allergies tested. If you have refractive errors, get it checked and corrected. Avoid eye cosmetics and chemicals. Shampoos that seep down to eyeswhile bathing can contribute to this, so don't let it accumulate. Food should b supplemented with iron capsules. Have green leafy vegetables and jaggery in plenty. Overtime with computers, laptops, television, can increase the chances of darkness around eyes. Get your hb checked. Catch a good six hour sleep everyday. Relax and destress with yoga, meditation, prayer.

Take 4 litter water daily apply sunscreen lition spf +30 will helpful to you. Apply on all exposer parts like hands, face etc. Use cap in summer.

Hi, Believe me, if you are happy from inside and taking nutritious, healthy food and daily yoga or some kind of exercises, it will be automatically reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face!! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet: -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon,orange,gooseberry,etc.Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce) . If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Make a paste of 'Kasturi Manjal' (wild turmeric) with rose petals, saffron and raw milk which is very effective.

Dark circles are because of lack of nutrients. Sleep and weakness. So take proper nutrients and drink plenty of juices and sleep for atleast 7 hours a day. Drink 7-8 glasses of water every day.
