I am 38yrs old woman. I have problem in my knee since childhood. My patellas are dislocated and as doctors told in childhood ligaments are also loose. As a result often the patella used to get twisted and I used to fell down and after that it was tremendous pain. The same problem persists today also. As I gained weight after birth of 2 children, the pain is now unbearable. Doctor suggested some physiotherapy for temporary relief in my childhood. What is the permanent remedy for this problem?

Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Hello lybrate user, leg pain after running is common due to spasm in the leg muscles known as tibialis anterior which functions to pull the foot towards your body during walking, running. When a person runs or exerts an unaccustomed stress there occurs production of lactic acid in the muscle which is quite painful. Relief by: rest ice application stretching exercises will help a lot god bless you.

Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

I have pain on both shoulders joints and upto neck continually and more when I raise hands for changing shirts and bananas. The pain/inconveniences is also there when I lay down on the bed. Since last one year I tried with orthopedic and physiotherapist. They treated saying it is only muscle pains and is not related to joints and not spondylitis. The pain is more when I do upward, side and shoulders Joints rotation exercises for hands. Please advise me the better treatment, food or supplements I am aged 67 years. I do regular mornings walking 6 KMS in one hour and do pranayama and light yoga for abdomen and hand exercises for 30 minutes. Please advise.

I am 21 year old yesterday I was doing squats that time I was ok but later on I have a lower back pain and its paining.

MSc in Orhopedic Physiotherapy (UK), BPTh/BPT

I am 21 year old yesterday I was doing squats that time I was ok but later on I have a lower back pain and its paining.
Squatting works your legs and hips, but your lower back and abdominals also are heavily taxed. As your lower back is heavily involved in squatting, your muscles must be strong to support a heavy squat. Strengthen your lower back. Your core supports you when squatting and keeps you from collapsing forward. Weak abdominals can result in more lower back stress as the muscles of your back must work to compensate for this weakness. Do core strengthening exercises. If your hamstrings are lacking flexibility, they will pull your tailbone under you at the bottom of your squat. This causes your lower back to round and places a good deal of stress on your lumbar vertebrae. Try to do hams stretching.
