I have pain in my left hand for over 2 days. What should I do?
Take hot water in a container and emerg your hand in that water. Make sure it is not burning hot. So after 5 to 10 mins, take out your hand. Take hand towel and make a roll of it. Then hold the roll in your left hand and press it. Hold it for 10 sec and release it. Do like this for 10 to 15 reps. Let me know after 1 week. Thank you.

I had an injury ligament 2 years back in my left knee. After lot of physiotherapy Its still hurts a lot. I have done 3 MRI also. But no doctor is able to make out the reason of pain. Could you please suggest any solution. Thanks.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi. If your diagnosis is correct, then there are 3 options for treatment. One is leave it alone. Ignore it. Apply ice when you feel pain. This is best treatment. Other 2 are done when this cyst becomes painful..

Hi lybrate-user I think your posture is not right. Just maintain your posture and use hot compression on paraspinal muscle. Avoid forward bending and weight lifting from ground. Consult me after 7days.

Yes, you can surely try to treat it with medications -- new special medications works now a days, so you can surely give it a try, even if it can not avoid a surgery - it can surely delay the need for surgery by a good 4-5 years which is very much required as you a very young to undergo a hip replacement surgery,

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Lift bucket without bending in back. Bend your knees and lift it. Do not bend forward while lifting weight. It may cause disc propalse. Do back strengthening exercises.

Hi lybrate-user, I have seen your question stating" severe pain in left leg starting from back till toes" on observing your profile sanya. Female 43 years 10 months 5.4 feet 80 kgs I observed that for your height 5.4 your weight should be in the range of 49 kg to 60 kgs which is slightly more. I must say here, as the age reaches in females due to various reasons ie low calcium levels and weight can affect legs and back. I suggest please get your vitamin d checked! I also guess its symptom of sciatica usaually this occur after 40s. Acupuncture works better for both sciatica and weight loss too including many acute and chronic conditions.

Lack of vitamin D and B12. Sometimes pains happens at lower back of spine just upper part of hips. And their is continuous pain from knee to upper back part. It is understand it may be due to some spine related problem. Please suggest good diagnosis and test need to be carried out.

Please do a MRI of the lumbar spine. Blood test for CBC/Calcium/Vit D/Uric acid/RA factor needs to be done Also take a glass of milk daily Do hot and cold compresses alternately to reduce pain Do morning walk daily Obesity is a fuel to fire for Arthritis patient and hence focus on loosing weight. May be he is not having any vitamin deficiency mere lack of fitness is leading to pain Do not sit/stand too long at a stretch. Take Mag phos 30 - thrice daily 4 pills till the time reports arrive.

Hi make daily routine for exercises which keeps your back fit and healthy. Exercises for back includes. Back ex, abdominal strengthening, general conditioning, posture care, daily brisk walk etc. But it will be good if you start physiotherapy session and learn exercise for your back pain under supervision of skilled physiotherapist do reply for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise.

Hand exercise dear you can do it easly…………1, Pinch Strengthener This exercise helps strengthen the muscles of your fingers and thumb. It can help you turn keys, open food packages, and use the gas pump more easily. •Pinch a soft foam ball or some putty between the tips of your fingers and your thumb. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. •Repeat 10 to 15 times on both hands. Do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Don't do this exercise if your thumb joint is damage Finger Lift Use this exercise to help increase the range of motion and flexibility in your fingers. •Place your hand flat, palm down, on a table or other surface. •Gently lift one finger at a time off of the table and then lower it. •You can also lift all your fingers and thumb at once, and then lower. •Repeat eight to 12 times on each han Thumb Extension Strengthening the muscles of your thumbs can help you grab and lift heavy things like cans and bottles. •Put your hand flat on a table. Wrap a rubber band around your hand at the base of your finger joints. •Gently move your thumb away from your fingers as far as you can. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. •Repeat 10 to 15 times with both hands. You can do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Thumb Touch This exercise helps increase the range of motion in your thumbs, which helps with activities like picking up your toothbrush, fork and spoon, and pens when you write. •Hold your hand out in front of you, with your wrist straight. •Gently touch your thumb to each of your four fingertips, one at a time, making the shape of an" O. •Hold each stretch for 30 to 60 seconds.
