Hi lybrate-user you got to get over a lot of negative notions in your head which automatically pop up when you sense an emotional closeness. This is the experiences you have had in your life which direct your reactions and behaviour. You need to get rid of these negative patterns of thinking process which is possible if you see a therapist. On a regular basis. I hope this helps. Take care.

Hi I m vry addicted to smoke. I tried many times to leave but I can not. I feel relaxed after smoking. But its too much like 20-30 per day. How can I good bye to smoke plz.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I feel really happy for you guys who have guts to digest the truth that habitual smoking is an addiction and I am very much sure that guys like you although understand the disatrous effectss of habitual smoking but out of their craving or compulsion are unable to do so.But I wll try to figure out a clear picture in front of you and let you decide how to quit this habit as I think you are strong enough to quit this habit as you have a strong mind to accept this addiction. 1,Just think it yourself that was this the age to start smoking. This Is the age to relish your time, your age, free from all tensions just enjoying your Parents luxuries but you opted the other way, putting yourself into the darkness of fumes,Smoking .You just think how much money of your parents you have wasted till now. 2.Just ssee the poor people around you who cant make up for one time meals.Just think that if you were not ssmoking ,how many of them would you have fed during last 2 years and try to feel that happiness that you must have got and now you are deprived off. 3. Tell your friends, family, and other people you’re close to that you’re trying to quit. They can encourage you to keep going, especially when you’re tempted to light up. I uggest you to join a SUPPORT GROUP of people who have quit smoking by hearing their experiences with you. 4..You can quit. All you need is the proper motivation. Maybe a visit to a pulmonary clinic might help. Take a long look around at the people in the lobby. Many of them are like you (and me), they smoked for years and always had the excuse that it was just too hard to quit. Just think, if you keep lighting up, you can end up just like them. If you really want an eye-opener, go to a hospital and volunteer your services for a month or so. Every time you light up a cigarette, you get one step closer to that for an end. Be strong. You can beat this habit just like millions of people do every year. You just need a stronger reason to quit - at least a stronger reason that the one you use to defend your smoking. Good luck. I know what it feels like to be on both sides of this thing. 5.. It's important for you to reprioritize your spare time that would have been spent smoking. Try a new hobby, get out and & walk/exercise, read ... anything. Remember that cravings only last a couple of minutes. 6.Homoeopathic medicine DAPHNE INDICA 1X( Wilmar Schwabe India) Chew 2 tab 3 times daily AVENA SATIVA Q ( Dr RECKEWEG) Drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water twice daily To start with start early morning Brisk walking for 30 minutes and breathing deep while walking. ALOM VILOM PRANAYAM daily for 15 minute any time during the day. Report after 30 days There is always written on every cigratte case that CIGRATTE IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH.It itself proves that we smoke only due to a habit or compulsion although understanding its after effects but reluctant

Dear user, You must be able to understand Concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Please post a private question to me and I will help you with "effective learning" techniques. Avocados, Beetroots, Blueberries, Broccoli. Celery, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate etc are good for improving concentration. Take care.

I have stammering problem from 15-20 years. I took advice from many doctors. Some told me that it will be decrease when my age is increasing, but I notice that stammering is also increasing with my age. I did speech therapy also, but can't get any positive response. Some doctors said it is mentally problem. Please tell me Is there any solution for my speech problem?

B. Sc. Speech and Hearing

Normal stammering happens to all. But when it's out of control we call it stuttering. In this case coping mechanisms lag in us. Speech therapy definitely helps. Yeah its psychogenic, you need to understand it better. Speech therapy must help.

Hi Abhijeet... There is a definite and a very permanent solution that is homeopathy. You just have to take a detailed consultation in which I will mostly explore your symptoms in depth... After that I expect that in time we will be able to stop all your medicines replaced by homoeopathic and then later homoeopathic too.

Dear lybrate-user, there is no need to worry. If this is the way you go forward, you cannot get into iit next year. I say this because, there is no use worrying or being depressed. There is something wrong with your learning pattern. Find it out and correct it. Don't blame every other thing and get worried. You may get help from a psychologist. Take care.

If you have not been on medication and you want to remain so, you will have to work very hard to recover from this condition. You must first of all seek the help of a counselor, ideally. If that person thinks that you need to meet with a doctor you will need to do so and cooperate right through. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love: find someone to love and to love you back, if you are not already married. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

First start a multivitamin and multimineral tablet of very good quality. Also do some pranayams which will improve lung functions. But don't start abruptly. Start it gradually. And you may take homoeopathic medicine Nux Vomica 200 1 dose. And let me congratulate for a life changing decision. I appreciate it.
