Hi last week tood hsg test, got report as both the fallopian tubes blocked. Is there any treatment to unblock the tubes or should I go to ivf?

Depend upon site of blockage. Better to go for laparoscopy examination. Some time hsg give false negative report. Laparoscopy may help in opening the tube

I am 30 weeks pregnant. My family and me are so very eager to have a girl. I have come to my native place. People are looking at my stomach and saying it's a boy saying I have small stomach. I am fully aware this is not legal but I think in my present stress situation I would be much better when I know the gender. If it's a girl il be happy and if it's a boy I will mould myself to stay happy so I won't go into depression later on. Please advice.

Hidoctor Actually my period date was on 10.03.2015 but till 27.03.15 i did not get my period i had my pragnency test on my 5th i.E. On 15.03.15 it was negative again i took on 17.03.15 it was negative again on 22.03 i took my test it was negative when should i taka my pragency test again please suggest me the correct date.

If you had regular periods before & since the UPT is negative on 12th day of missed period you are unlikely to be pregnant. Please see a gynec to decide the cause of your delayed menses.

Hi lybrate-user. Welcome to lybrate. 140 gct is borderline. To say whether it's abnormal or not, i. E. Whether you are diabetic or not get an ogtt done. That is oral glucose tolerance test. Its to be done in early morning on empty stomach.

Its good that you are having sex daily. At sex, the man generally ejaculates at all times, and thus provide sperms for the pregnancy. But the same is not the case with ovum formation for pregnancy to occur sperm and ovum must meet. But the ovulation happens" independent" of sex and it can happen or may not happen in a monthly cycle. So even if you are having regular cycles and also regular sex, the ovum may not be produced, and this could be a cause due to which pregnancy has not happened till now. Usually most couples conceive in 1 year of unprotected sexual relations. Some get pregnant in few attempts but some may take time. So continue your efforts and if pregnant the lady partner's periods may be missed. This is a sign of pregnancy. If you wish to enhance your efforts at baby making, - have sex regularly. - stay healthy - eat nourishing food stuffs - exercise regularly - avoid tobacco and alcohol - after sex, the lady partner must lie in bed for a good 1-2 hours, preferably with a pillow below her buttocks to keep the semen in the vagina and allow the entry of sperms into the uterus. - avoid getting up from bed just after sex, as it will make the semen trail off from the vagina. - avoid contact of vagina with water, while cleaning up after sex, as water is spermicidal - if you are using any oils, or jelly for lubrication, these can kill the sperms too, so avoid using them.

Hi. Irregular periods are not a good sign, get your blood tested for - S. Ferritn, S. Iron, S. Calcium. Start taking a multivitamin - Centrum or Revital for women or else Supradyn/ 1 tab. daily once for 3 months. Revert me back after a month. If needed, Ultrasound (pelvis) may need to be done. And send me the reports.

Scientific Reason Why Stretching is Crucial Before/ After a Workout

Why is stretching so important before or after a workout?

Stretching often takes a backseat in most workout routines. This happens significantly more with men than woman, and can lead to a disaster in the gym. Stretching is just as important, both before and after your workout, as it helps in preventing injury. It might not be the most vigorous of exercises, but both static (stretching in one fixed position) and dynamic (stretching in variable positions) stretches are beneficial to your body, and will help in keeping it fighting fit till the next session. So what does stretching help with?

 

1. Flexibility

This is a no-brainer. Stretching helps in keeping the body flexible and nimble. It stretches out those muscle groups that aren’t used in most major workouts, and helps cut down on the nervous involvement of unwanted muscles during workouts. Post-workout stretching helps keep the tendons and muscles flexible for the next session, which would otherwise have tensed up and caused tears and sores. You also build up a greater degree of motion for all your joints, which aids in various ways during different exercises.

 

2. Pain And Improved Circulation

Your heart rate spikes during a workout, and beats at an abnormally elevated rate. Stretching helps ease it down to a normal level. Your muscles tighten during workout, which increases risks for injury. Stretching helps ease them back into a more relaxed state, further improving blood circulation and preventing cramps. Stretching also has the added benefit of eliminating lactic acid, which gets accumulated in your body during a workout.  It cools down your body gradually, decreasing strain on your heart.

So what sort of stretches should you be doing?

1. Static stretching

There are two basic types of stretching, dynamic and static. Static stretching is an exercise where you elongate a certain muscle or muscle group to a point where it is nearly uncomfortable and hold it for a period of time between 30 – 60 seconds. Static stretching is recommended for after workouts. It improves muscle interactions, maintains range of motion and keeps muscle tissues healthy.

2. Dynamic stretching

Dynamic stretching is more active, as you keep your body in motion while you stretch. The movements are tightly controlled and precise, and proper execution greatly adds to athletic performance. Dynamic stretches are great warm ups, and a gentle, easy way to get your heart rate up. It’s also a great full body exercise for people who cannot exercise much, and is a great way to engage all the muscle groups in your body.

Thus, static stretches are the perfect way to maintain the flexibility of your body. You should be making them a mandatory part of your post-workout regime as it provides the necessary care and maintenance to your muscles. It decreases muscle fatigue and prevents a lot of injuries. You could incorporate dynamic stretches into your warm up and mid-workout, when you can get your entire body ready for the workout and cut down on nervous involvement of unwanted muscle groups.

50 % sex does not mean any thing and is not relevant, if your date is delayed by 7 days get your urine tested for pregnancy, there are kits available at chemist shop and you can do it your self at home. Do it urgently donot delay.

If T4 level is 13.24ug/dl and tsh is 2.67ulU/ml in pregnancy what precautions should I take?
Your tsh report is absolutely normal for any weeks of pregnancy. T4 value in first trimester is 6.5 - 10.1, second trimester 7.5 - 10.3 and third 6.3 - 9.7. Thyroid levels in pregnancy are best evaluated by free t4 levels and not t4 levels which can be wrong. Reference values for free t4 are 0.8- 1.2, 0.6 - 1, and 0.5 - 0.8 respectively. So it looks like normal report for you but you should get free t4 value to confirm.

V. It is good to be exited. White watery color lubricated discharge is normal which lubricate vagina for smooth intercourse. Oral sex vagina kiss not good & may harm.

Spinach is included in rich nutritional food category. It is rich in iron & calcium. Oxalic acid binds these minerals. It is also rich in vitamins a & c. Antioxidants & folic acid also make it more healthy.
It is a very good source of vitamin k.
