How many times can a person do shampoo and oil his hair in week? Does regular doing it is harmful? My hair in front are receding. And hair are thin and are always standing and now there are curving too? Is I am going to lost all my hairs? My father is bald. Is there no thing I can do? Hairs are gone from side front.

You can not stop hereditary baldness but you may delay it. Regular shampoo is not good since all the shampoos contain caustic soda almost. If you agree do it once in a fortnight and use our pure herbal, quality raw material based, properly processed combo intermittently. You will need to mix curd and/or olive oil. Also tell any problem of scalp - if exists.

Hello lybrate-user. Habit of chewing tobacco products leads to submucous fibrosis which results in burning mouth, inability to open mouth. You need to go for intraoral injections which increases your mouth opening and practice mouth opening exercises daily. See a dentist soon and get the needful done.

My husband has snoring problem. Is there any medicine to reduce it. His age is, 32 and weight is 90 kgs height 5" 7. Could you please suggest?

Hi lybrate-user is the snoring problem recent or from before? his weight is about90kg his ideal weigh 72 kg to 75 kg and definitely less than 80 kg. Two ways of tackling: 1) immediate you have to go to sleep before him. Wear an ear plug when you go to bed. Make the head end of your bed higher using bricks etc. Ask your husband to practice sleeping on oe side with a heavy pillow supporting his back. 2) long term get his bp checked tsh, ft4, ft3, ppbs, lipid profile, lft, cbc use an airfryer if you like fried food exercise/walk atleast 30 minutes every day. Get a ct pns done to rule out local causes. A lot of people stop snoring when they loose weight if no nadal problem. That's because with increasing weight we also tend to have fat deposit in soft palate which narrows airway and causes a snoring sound.

To overcome pimples you need to reduce hot or pitta increasing foods, like dry fruits. Also, constipation can increase pitta, triphala at all times will reduce constipation & pimples as well. Also, combination of salt & milk should be avoided. Many herbs like manjistha & shirish helps to reduce pimples. Apply himalaya neem face wash & pack daily on your face to reduce pimples.

I am very skinny. How to gain weight? I eat a lot and I started workout. It is not helping. please help doctors.

The reason of not gaining weight are * improper diet * indigestion (disease of stomach, loose motions) * worms in intestine * thyroid disorder * diabetes *addiction (smoking or alcoholism) dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy

My mother is diabetic patient her age 63 years, she has dental problems. Some teeth are paining badly and moving little roots are damaged badly. Doctor prescribed the pain killer tablet for the teeth pain. She consumes one tablet for day when she get the pain and continues for 3 to 4 days . Some times even tablets also couldnot help her. My query is extraction of bad teeth is advisable for diabetic patient? If possible how to take care of same. Thanks for all your suggestions.

hi...according to me when sugar kevel is controlled and if teeth can't be restored then get them extracted under antibiotic coverage and teeth which can be restored( means teeth which are paining but not mobile ) can go for Root canal treatment followed by crowns...

Hi go for brisk walk 45 minute daily. Take 3 cup green tea daily (jasmine flavour). Have diet rich in fruits vegetable salads & multigrain aata roti avoid rice, deserts, and fried stuffed. Drink 2-3 liters water in a day.

Lybrate-user, the levels mentioned are too high, shows totally uncontrolled diabetes. If you are on treatment, it is clear the current treatment is not helpful or grossly inadequate. Needs immediate improvement. Plus I see that you are having a bmi of 34.09 kgs/m2, showing grade 1 obesity. This also contributes to increased blood sugar. So there needs to be - efforts to reduce weight, additional treatment and proper diet control and exercise. With this multi pronged approach we will be able to bring situation under control. Best way to reduce fat is exercise and diet control....take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day....medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day....and pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day...avoid junk food...oily food...fermented food..alcohol consumption..sugar....milk products and sweets....take oats and cereals more..and do pranayama early in the morning and walk for atleast 45 minutes a day...and do exercises....dont sleep immediately after taking meal...

skinlight cream is a steroidal based cream.u should not ally it in a day time and while applying it u must wear a good sunscreen wenever u step out .as dis results in more darkening as it makes ur skin photosensitive.use a good quality sunblock of minimum 40 spf.apply it 30 min. before wen u step out.stop using fairness creams.moisturize ur skin using a good moisturizer.

Knowing Premature Ejaculation - PART 2: Diagnosis, Types & Causes

As many as 30-40 % men across the world including India experience problem of PE at some time of life. In Part 1, we learnt about the condition called Premature Ejaculation (PE). In this 2nd part, let’s understand about it’s diagnosis & types of PE - why and how it happens.

How to Diagnose PE:

The specific criteria for premature (early) ejaculation are as follows:
- In almost 75-100% sexual activity, the experience of ejaculation occurring during sexual intercourse within 1 minute after vaginal penetration and before the individual wishes it.
- The problem has persisted for at least 6 months and is a cause of mental stress to the person.
- The dysfunction cannot be better explained by any other nonsexual mental disorder, any medical disease, the effects of a drug or medication, etc

Severity of PE:

The severity of premature (early) ejaculation is broadly defined as follows:
1. Mild (occurring within approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute of vaginal penetration)
2. Moderate (occurring within approximately 15-30 seconds of vaginal penetration)
3. Severe (occurring even before sexual activity, at the start of sexual activity, or within approximately 15 seconds of vaginal penetration). In such cases conception will not be possible unless artificial insemination is used.

TYPES and Characteristics of P.E. :
Premature ejaculation can be Chronic (lifelong) or Acquired (recent).
Chronic PE:
With chronic (lifelong) premature ejaculation, the person has been experiencing premature ejaculation since he became sexually active (ie, post puberty).
Acquired PE:
Acquired (recent) premature ejaculation means that the condition began in an individual who previously experienced an acceptable level of ejaculatory control and only recently has developed PE.

What are the Causes?
The causes of PE can be divided into two broad sub-heads, which are psychological or biological cause:


1. Psychological Causes:
Premature ejaculation is believed to be a psychological problem and does not represent any known organic / physical disease involving the male reproductive organs or any known defect in the brain or nervous system. It is usually due to a pattern that is hard to change and is a result of your previous sexual experiences.

One of the most common reason is childhood habit of reaching climax/ ejaculation quickly because of fear of discovery when masturbating or during early sexual experiences with a female partner. This pattern of rapid attainment of sexual release is difficult to change in later stage of life (in marriage or long-term relationships).

Other reasons are situations in which one may have hurried climax/ ejaculation in order to hide any problem or feelings of guilt that make you rush through sexual encounters. Also, psychological causes include anxiety and relationship issues which can also result from deep anxiety about sex that relates to bad experiences encountered by the patient during development (eg: incest, sexual assault, conflict with parents, etc ).

2. Biological Causes

A number of researchers have found differences in nervous stimulations and hormonal differences in men who experience premature ejaculation compared with individuals who do not.

Some believe that some men have hyper-excitability or oversensitivity of their genitalia.

Abnormal functioning of the ejaculatory system can be attributed to:
- Thyroid problems; infection or inflammation of the urethra or prostate.
- Nerve damage occurring due to trauma or surgery (a very rare cause).
- Abnormal levels of hormones and/or neurotransmitters (chemicals present in the brain)
- Higher free and total testosterone levels or varied other biochemical markers
*The research however has been non-conclusive.

In Part 3 and 4, we will discuss the right approach and therapy for the men / couple suffering due to PE.

Take the following treatment - 1. Take 4 tablespoon of aloevera juice with one tablespoon of honey after dinner. 2. Take 4 tablespoon amla juice + 2 tablespoon honey on an empty stomach in the morning. 3. Take chandraprabhavati 2 tablets twice a day. 4. Avoid junk, bakery & spicy food. 5. These will help you to feel more in control of yourself and your time. 4. Take out time for yourself. When you are busy taking care of others needs, you need to take care of your own body and mind. Relax, relax, relax.Do what you like in this time. Pamper yourself.You deserve it. Also remember that showing aggression and violence is an anti social behaviour. It separates people emotionally even though they live with you. Learn to respect yourself and them too. A counsellor will be able to help you learn skills of effective communication so that you don't feel too pressurised.

Do urine pregnancy test first by using kit available in market and if it is positive then visit to doctor. If negative then don't worry some time there may be hormonal imbalance due to oral contraceptive pills which cause delayed menses.
