Back pain at your age is generally due to muscle strain resulting from improper posture. This should not prevent you from pursuing your dreams. Follow these simple tips to relieve your backache. If problem persists consult again for investigation and management. 1. Sit with straight back and change posture in between. 2. Take breaks in between work and walk. 3. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily. 4. Take simple painkillers like paracetamol if pain is persistent. 5. Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6.Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. 7. Do not bend and lift weights. 8. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling , numbness or weakness, consult your doctor immediately

Being active is essential, while keeping in mind that sudden bending and lifting heavy articles should be avoided. Swimming is the best form of exercise which I can suggest you. Yoga can also help you if done under proper guidance- iyengar yoga is supposed to address these issues.

i would advise you to go for mri lumbosacral spine to rule out vertebral or disc disease....painkillers will give short relief...avoid prolonged standing or sitting and carrying haevy loads..visit ur nearby neurologist. good luck

I am 24 years old, working in a it company and have backache problem. What should I do?

Hi initially take following precautions 1) start physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for spine 2) use lumbar support belt while walking and traveling 3) stop normal physical activity for couple of days and take rest. 4) apply ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, then apply heat. 5) do not do activities that involves heavy lifting or twisting of your back for few days 6) after 2 to 3 weeks, slowly begin to exercise 7) avoid wearing high heels and lifting heavy bags. A physiotherapist can give you personalized exercise plan. Take care! wishing you good health!

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Sir. My right knee' s flesh upper right flesh used to pain when I just simply touch it by pressing it. Sometimes in climbing stairs it pains. I refered to the doctor he says no arthritis but knee cap doesnt pain only flesh pain and it is little fluffy as compared to other knee' s flesh. Tell me what shuld I do is it serious?

Hi, your pain is due to muscle weakness of thigh. Concentrate on quadriceps, hamstring strengthening. If you plan to go to gym, its well and good. Do extension curls, ham curls and leg press, static cycling in gym. Icing for 10 mins by covering cloth over ice packs is very important to reduce pain. Check for any foot wear modification. Wear soft sole shoes / slippers.

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Make sure you undergo a proper course of vastus medialis obliqus exercise. As long as you do not have regular dislocation of the patella then you do not need surgery. Surgery is only for people where the trochlea (the place where the knee cap is situated) is not well developed or if there is soft tissue problems.

Tkr should be avoided as far as possible. Arthritis doesn't go easily but can be managed to live life smoothly. Ayurveda doesn't kill pain but long run treatment helps in containing swelling of knees, reduce weight and maintaining flexibility of joints along with physiotherapy. I prefer you to learn simple yoga postures kapalbhati' is good for it too. Some herbal ayurveda med may be given for long run. If you agree converse privately please. After tkr also there is no 100% guarantee of normalcy for ever.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

It's not possible to feel stretch in nerves. May be your muscles are stretched. Do regular exercises. Drink water regularly. Eat 2 egg whites at least twice daily.
