diet for a diabetic patient is usually specific for each individual patient. It is based on his or her weight, sugar levels and extent of physical activity. However, few tips are as follows: avoid sweets, direct sugar, deep fried foods, fruits like mangoes, chikkoos and grapes. Take a good quantity of green salads. Also avoid ghee and butter and high fat cheese.

You are quite right in being concerned about it. This kind of excess weight is breeding ground for many diseases (blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, certain kind of cancers, arthritis, back pain etc), which can affect the quality of your life ahead. This is a lifestyle related issue and it can be surely treated with intensive lifestyle modification program. Most people who are fat are made to feel that it is because you lack will power, you are lethargic and a weak person. But that is definitely not true. It is your your hormones which have made you fat and keeping you fat. Unless we make correct diagnosis and and create a diet and lifestyle plan to correct that hormonal abnormalities you will not be able to lose weight for long term. Most diet fails because they are low calorie and low fat. Instead of correcting metabolism, they make you feel low energy or makes you feel excessively hungry. If you are doing regular exercise, it will increase your fitness but it does not reduce weight much. To achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. There is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. Try this general approach (see below) for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If this is not enough then revert for further assessment and customized approach. 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit juices. 4. Continue brisk walks or jogging for 45 - 60 minutes every day.

I am 29 years old female and since one year I am gaining my weight. My weight was 63 kg and now it has been gained upto 70 kg. I am taking normal diet in my 2 time meals and walk as much as I can. I usually put very less quantity of edible oil in food while cooking. But still I don't know why my weight is increasing? I saw an advertisement for caralluma 2000 weight loss capsules on internet. Can I take that?

Hi eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. There is no short cut. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets capsules only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. Hopefully your body has not shut down the metabolism or plateaued which is common when you try to crash your diet. I am sure this suggestion will at least help you with initial fat loss. If you cant break the plateau you might need professional intervention.

Hello. Gently move the razor on these areas. Medication: start immediately with homoeopathic medication - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and a homoeopathic tincture called arnica montana and mix 1 tsp in 1/2 cup of water and apply upon the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor movement technique as in 1 above. Repeat the above process every 3rd day and see the growth in 1 month. Take a red mushroom called ganoderma 5 gms. 2 times per day at 12 hours interval for 3 months.

Hello oily skin can be a tendency that you are born with and it worsens with improper eating habits and pollution. You need to cut down on your oil and fat intake. Decrease the consumption of cheese, butter, chocolates, ice creams, cakes and also non veg foods. You must have atleast 4-5 litres of water everyday and have lot of salads, fruits and fruit juices. Along with it, you must wash your face atleast 3-4 times a day with a face wash. You can use" gorgeous face wash" for your face and can use" dermadew acne" soap for bathing.

Hello lybrate-user. According to your height this weight is good but if you feel fatty in some part of your body then do some physical exercise to reduce fat. You can do yoga, skipping, swimming, push-ups etc. And just avoid fast foods and junk foods, sweets etc. To stay healthy.

There is in ayurveda mention pinda swed. It is a type of swedan karma [phomentation] but it do some another manner. 1. Boiled a rice in milk then take this rice in one white cloth then tied it properly and warmly it rub on your face every morning for 15 days then stop it and do next month again 2. Apply almond oil on your face and massage for 3-5 min at night. By doing above thing you will get good result.
