Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Avoid it in the kids less than 10 years. And use as little as required to brush your teeth. Any tooth paste that contains sodium lauryl sulfate is harmful. So use less quantity of the toothpaste always.

This is usually because they have a high body metabolism rate which doesn’t allow fat to accumulate, resulting in faster burning of calories. Fortunately, there are several tips to gain weight, which are not only effective, but healthy as well. How to increase weight and stay healthy If you are attempting to increase your weight, it is important to remember that simply eating anything at all will not help. Incorrect eating habits might not only affect your body functioning, but could also have other undesired effects on you. This is why it is important to eat correctly, while keeping track of your daily activities. Listed below are some simple and effective tips to gain weight. Put together a schedule Like most other things, it is essential to put together a detailed and achievable schedule that will help you gain the numbers you want. For this you will need to measure the different parts of your body like thighs, waist, hips, stomach etc. So that you can keep track of your progress. Along with keeping a track of your measurements, it is also necessary to keep track of the foods you consume and the kind of exercise that you might have to indulge in to help pile on the pounds. Prepare a nutritious diet plan When trying to increase weight, you simply cannot start by consuming fatty foods. Much like how you follow a particular diet to lose weight, you will have to chart a specific diet plan to put on weight. Do not start with cow or buffalo milk until child crosses 1 year. Reason for crying might be colic pain so start with colic aid drops 4-5 drops 3-4 times a day, other alternative for breast feeding is formula feed which is available as lactogen or nan. I suggest you not to start formula feed if you are having enough breast milk. Continue breast milk atleast for 1 year.

My 65 yr old aunt is being kept in ventilator after being infected by pneomonia post surgery. She suffered a mild seizure today and bp became low. What causes these seizures? are they dangerous?

Dear , seizures in icu can be due to many causes. However it would be impossible to tell the cause without seeing the blood reports. Most commonly inpneumonia pts it can be due to low sodium. And yes she does seem to be critical based on what you have said.

Hello dear High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,. To reduce tummy avoid all refined food items from your diet such as maida, pasta. Avoid all sweetened beverages from diet such as tea, coffee, cold drinks. Moreover do take amaranth grain as a breakfast cereal to reduce belly fat.

First we have to work on your digestive system. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. Follow up after 1week. Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid constipation.

You should follow these very important and simple things to prevent stone formation & to get sure treatment of kidney stones: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones.
