IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consult doctor on time.

Hi lybrate-user There could be many reasons for weight gain. To lose weight we need to focus upon some basic food plan like cutting down on grains and sugar exm. Chapati, rice, potato. U can use high protein high protein diet exm. Pannier, egg, chicken. U take 1 Lipolyzer hips and thigh tab after lunch and dinner.

To lose weight you have to follow a structured diet & adopt a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise will help you in losing weight faster. To maintain good energy levels at work you must eat light & healthy food during day time. Avoid heavy dinners.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes daily. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Me 60 (M) 5-6" 80 kg non diabetic and non hypertensive having osteoarthritis to both my knees and moderate OSA. Hi there could be many reasons for weight gain. When you gain weight then obviously several other problems arises. To lose weight we need to focus upon some basic food plan like cutting down on grains and sugar. This helps immediately. We should avoid processed food. The healthy weight loss diet should contain ample amount of vegetable with sufficient protein. Taking some dietary supplements helps in weight loss as well. Sample diet plan breakfast - russian salad with boiled eggs. Lunch - cooked vegetable + 1 chapatti +salad +curd. Dinner - paneer tikka with green chutney. Snacks - dry fruits and nuts with green tea. Suggested supplements microfruit and cytofresh tablets daily after breakfast lipolyzer tummy tablet after lunch and dinner.

Are you suffering from any medical problem? share your daily diet (what you eat in breakfast/lunch/dinner) & lifestyle (wake up/sleep time) to advise you. Follow these instructions- take balanced & nutritious food. Avoid outside food. Drink 3-4 ltrs of water daily. Walk/jog/swim for 30-40 mins daily. Take proper rest.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time .8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

I have decided to eat only banana for a month. Now am on my 8 days of eating banana only. I am taking 1 kg in breakfast, 1 kg in lunch and 1/2 kg in dinner time with 300gm curd. How to overcome cravings to reduce fat

As a matter of fact, don’t push hard to avoid a craving. When your brain is giving signal that you must eat something, you should not avoid it. However, when your aim is to reduce fat, then such a craving has to be worked upon, esp. when it’s just a craving and you are not actually hungry. There are ways to achieve this.

1. Reduce stress: Stress reduction is important when you intend to reduce body fat because it has been observed that you tend to eat more and have more cravings when you are under stress. To reduce stress in your life, try regular exercising and walking.

2. Distract yourself: Whenever you get cravings, try to distract yourself so that you don’t think about eating at odd times. Go for a walk, play with your pet or engage in something that you love doing. Listening to your favourite music is one good distraction that can completely make you forget food craving keeping you away from food. Also, it will make your mood lighter.

3. Eat less but not less than your usual diet: While trying to avoid craving and reducing fat, you shouldn’t forget to take normal diet. Because lack of proper diet will make you weak which might reduce fat but will have negative effect on your health too! So, don’t forget to take balanced diet.

4. Work on controlling portions: When you are trying to avoid craving, you should also cut down on consuming more fatty food. What you need to concentrate is on avoiding craving but when it comes to your normal diet, you should take controlled portions of fatty food.

5. Get a sound sleep: Having a sound sleep will keep your eating habits in control. So make sure you sleep well so that it doesn’t disturb your eating habits.

6. Increase water intake: Take as much water as you can take because water leads to fat loss. So, when you are trying to avoid craving, drinking a glass or two of water can also be helpful in achieving your goal.

7. Take yourself away from the food: If you are living alone this is easiest. Just don't buy it! Don't carry spare cash for snacking when out, and don't even look at the section in the supermarket. This makes it so much easier. If you live with other people, just don't be around them when they start to eat tempting food. Easy!

8. Eat alternative food: You can even carry around alternatives to help if you get a craving. A low sugar free alternative is almonds and walnuts ! Not only does it provide satiety but it can keep you preoccupied for hours. An apple is also handy to munch on to keep you busy - even better!

9. A healthy breakfast every morning: The food you eat in the morning will most likely be burned off by the end of the day, so eat a breakfast like a king..lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. Include protein, complex carbohydrate unsaturated fats,vitamins and minerals in your breakfast so that you don't get as hungry later in the day.

Dear excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... HI, One shoe size does not fit all. Similarly one diet or any recommendation from others should not be taken personally unless given by any expert. these tablets shall give you temporary results unless you are willing to take them for life time. What works best is a healthy diet and exercise programe specially designed for you. If you can include a good pre workout meal approx 30-45 mins before workout caffeine should not be required.

Hi, try having warm lemon water with honey every morning. Below tips could help you start your weight-loss journey. 1. Never eat a snack out of a carton or a cover. Always use a cup or a plate to so you know how much you are eating. 2. Have at least one bright colored fruit and one bright colored vegetable a day 3. Take a small snack box to office with almonds, walnuts and other dry fruits to satisfy your cravings 4. Try to have your dinner by 8 so that you are not too hungry and also make healthy choices at dinner. 5. People who eat breakfast have a better success rate at losing weight. 6. Beware of zero trans fat and fat free foods as you might end up eating high sugar and carb containing foods. 7. People who are emotional eaters learn to identify the emotion that makes you eat unhealthy food and try diverting your mind to something else you love 8. If your plates are too big trade them off for a 9 inch plates 9. Replace your weighing scale with a tape measure. 10. Share your weight-loss journey with a family member or friend so that you are accountable to each other. 11. Green tea at least once a day will help you boost your metabolism 12. Weight gain occurs if our calorie intake is more than calorie burn in our body. Weight gain can be control by proper diet plan. Eat seasonal fruits vegetables as much as possible stop taking junk foods but do nnot skip diet.

First up need to check for the thyroid problem. Then have some change in u r food pattern and check. Sudden increase in weight mainly will be due to Increase or decrease of Thyroid hormones.
