Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

My MRI report says L4-L5 and L5-S1 disc shows diffuse bulge causing indentation on thecal sac which was expected and the doctors told it's not a major cause of worry. But the report showed B/I facet joint arthropathy at L5-S1. I'm 24 years old. Is it a cause of worry?

Drink lots of water initially and try to drink luke warm water in the morning check the uric acid level through blood test, because some times joints pain is due to increased level of uric acid in the body. Exercise regularly.

For your complaints of persistent tears from eyes, it will be better to consult an ophthalomologist for this. As far as your joint pains are concerned, please mention which joints are actually involved, is it small joints of hands and feet which are predominantly involved, any associated swelling, stiffness especially when you get up in morning? please sen me details about what investigations have been done and what treatment have you received till now so that I can see and then advise you accordingly. Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.

Your pain could be due to a strain in your muscles or sprain in ligaments, especially if there is a history of an injury while throwing. My advice will be to stop all physical activities till your pain subsides, start with gentle anti inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability, ice packs for local application and see for next 5-7 days, if your pain subsides, kindly let me know and I shall assist you with further course of action. I sustained a small wrist injury while lifting weights in gym. The pain has sustained for a week now inspite of applying heat and volini. There is pain in twisting the wrist but not if I press with my other hand. Do I need an xray or should I wait for some more time to heal?

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Dear lybrate-user being a sports person you should get your shoulder checked up to get a diagnosis. May be you have a rotator cuff tear and need detailed evaluation and imaging to confirm that diagnosis. Meanwhile apply ice and avoid over head activities.

Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day.

My age is 45 and now I am having lot of pain even lifting mobile by right hand. X rays show nothing. Hi, take homoeoapthic medicine - ruta g 30/ 3 times a day dailyu and apply rhus tox ointment over the area in soft circular motion and wrap a crepe bandage over it after 1/2 an hour. Avoid movement of the wrist. Revert after 10 days.

What To Expect When Recovering From Broken Bones?

Breaking a bone is, needless to say, a painful experience. But, when people have their broken bone put in a cast, they tend to forget about it until it comes out. This is quite wrong! A person would want to be up and running but does not find that the hand or the leg as it has been cast up. For weeks, the person's hand or leg barely moves and also shrinks up quite a lot!

There is a lot of pain, not only due to shrinkage when a fracture occurs. The occurrence itself causes what is known as acute pain. Then, for some weeks, the sub-acute pain just seems to persist, to the person having the fracture. The reason for this is the fact that the bone and the soft tissue are in the process of healing.

Chronic pain is a worry as it does not go away even after the healing process has ended. In order to make sure that there is a quick recovery and there is no chronic pain which is experienced at all, some of the proverbial leaves need to be taken out of the book of physiotherapy.

To start with, sometime between a fortnight and a month after the injury or the bone break has taken place, the doctor will wish to see some movement in the soft tissue that has broken around the bone. The great advantage of this is that while it may be a little bit of effort and time involved, there are great benefits by the way of less pain and swelling as the blood flows as normally as is possible.

If such movements are not done, a person can have related soreness, which can be even more of a pain! An example of this would be a broken foot or ankle causing the stiffness of the knee. When a person is already in pain, adding to his or her trouble makes no sense at all, does it?

Post one month mark, the physiotherapist would want to see more functioning so that the normal levels can be attained. A person who has a fracture should not despair as if he or she is willing to stick to the schedule given by the physiotherapist and perform all the exercises that have been set out, he or she will be back at the normal level much sooner than would have been expected!

Also, getting active again will reduce the risk of a repeat injury, and that is enough justification to do so! If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a physiotherapist.

The pathology is such coccydynia is not a very easy pain to deal. Can try conservative methods of doughnut pillow and medication for a month. We have good results with some interventions kindly visit for further guidance.

Don't skip your meals. Take milk and products, paneer, egg, omelette with bread. Do strach exercise alternate days. Take milk shake nd stuff parathas. Take butter milk. Take whole pulses.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
