Crunches should not cause your low back to hurt. If you repeatedly have pain while performing crunches, cease the activity and seek physiotherapist consultation. When performing a crunch the low back will round. When the lower back rounds it has the potential to push fluid from the intervertebral disc space out and may compress the nerves. A few good alternative core exercises you can try are planks, ball bridges, stability ball marching and dying bug exercises. These will all work the abdominals, help you to lose belly fat and should reduce low back pain.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform

If your job involves bending forwards regularly then please avoid it, it will solve your most of the problems, you need to do backbending exercises in lying down position regularly.

I have low calcium in body. Due to which I am feeling pain in my knee. What kind of medicine I should take.
If you think your pain is due to calcium deficiency then you need to take calcium supplements. Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. Try some home remedies for your pain- - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport specific exercises will help you improve range of motion, strength, and endurance. It is especially important to focus on strengthening and stretching your quadriceps since these muscles are the main stabilizers of your kneecap. Core exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back. Also maintaining a healthy body weight to avoid over stressing your knees are very important. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist. See dear if the pain is so much like ij legs also then you need a bed rest and do not be afraid of disc bulge as it is very common these days and good news is its totally preventable by just doing simple changes in your lifestyle like use stairs, drink more water, keep changing your positions frequently etc.

There can be many reasons for this - 1) Your BP may not be well controlled with the present dose or medicines you are taking. 2) You may be having some other disease either heart related, kidney or thyroid related that may be causing swelling in legs 3) Some amount of swelling in legs is also normally found with some BP lowering medicines. Since you have neither mentioned your BP levels nor your medications and their doses It will be difficult to suggest which out of these may be the cause of your problem without evaluating you, so my suggestion that either please contact your treating cardiologist for a detailed consultation and remain in close follow up with them or If you are not consulting any cardiologist at present then please consult someone locally.
