Delivery done for my wife 5 days before. But breast milk was not producing adequately. So insufficient diet for baby. can milk formation be done by some food? Any other diet can be given?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Milk supply is dependent on stimulation by the baby provides while feeding. More you breastfeed your baby, more milk will be produced. Try to feed your baby more often if your milk supply is less. Pumping your breasts after feeding also can stimulate more milk production. Two main causes of less breastmilk supply is poor latch or scheduled feeding. Baby should not nipple feed, rather should breastfeed. Baby should have wide open mouth and the nipple should go towards back of the mouth. There are certain medicines which can increase quantity of milk. If your child is sleeping well and active with your milk then milk is adequate for the baby. A substance that increases milk supply is called a galactagogue. Some of the most commonly used herbal galactagogues are fenugreek, blessed thistle, and alfalfa. There are also several prescription medications that can increase milk supply. Domperidone and metoclopramide increase the production of prolactin and thereby breast milk also. Shatavari powder is an ayurvedic preparation that can increase milk production.

A number of factors can cause this problem, such as eating disorders, significant weight loss or gain, anemia, thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalance, liver disease, tuberculosis, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, recent birth or miscarriage, polycystic ovarian syndrome, uterine abnormalities, and other health conditions. Some home remedies. Ginger is highly beneficial in regulating menstrual cycles and also relieving menstrual pain. It promotes menstruation and hence is good when dealing with delayed or scanty periods. 1. Boil one-half teaspoon of freshly ground ginger in a cup of water for five to seven minutes. 2. Add a little sugar. 3. Drink this three times a day after meals. 4. Do this for about one month or more. Any querries inform me.

Hi !Samantha, Laser is the best and only permanent solution for unwanted hair. Lasers in Beuty Clinics can never give you results. E + Laser treatment done by a qualified and experienced doctor can give you very good results. Except for this there is no other treatment that can remove your hair permanently, and they may lead to frustration because they are not successful.

It is due to fatty tissue. First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert.

After how many days of periods it is very safe to do sex without any risk of pregnancy.

After how many days of periods it is very safe to do sex without any risk of pregnancy.
The menstrual cycle is the time from the first day of your period to the first day of your next period; for most women, that is about 28 days. About 12-14 days before your period begins, you are most fertile. This is when you ovulate, or release an egg. This is when you are most likely to become pregnant.

Hi I am 33 year old.my wife 24 year old we married 2012, please advice this is correct time to get baby, but we are trying till not happening please give some advice to get.

Yes, this is correct time if you are ready for a baby. Now, if you have tried for long time, and still there is no pregnancy you must make it sure that both of you don't have any disease- by consulting doctors who will check up certain basic things and then will start the best treatment. Good luck.

A typical early morning pain in the epigastric region is likely to be severe gastritis and can be everyday, but it is unlikely to be due to your menses. Get a ultrasound abdomen and pelvis done to identify the cause. Regards.

How To Avoid Uterine Fibroids Through Homeopathy

BHMS
Homeopath, Delhi
How To Avoid Uterine Fibroids Through Homeopathy

Uterine fibroids, also referred to as uterine myomas) are non-cancerous tumors that grow within the muscle tissue of the uterus. As many as 20% to 50% women between the age group of 18 to 40 suffer from the condition, but not all cases warrant treatment.

It may be as tiny as a coin or it may grow to the size of a watermelon, making people think the lady is 6/7 months pregnant! There may be one big fibroid or several small ones.

Causes:
Though the exact causes are not known, family history and hormonal imbalances are said to be the main causes for the same.

Types of Uterine Fibroids

The four types are:

  1. Subserosal Uterine Fibroids: Develops outside the uterus and continues to grow.
  2. Intramural Uterine Fibroids: The most common type that lead to pregnancy like tummy. They develop within the uterus wall and continue to expand.
  3. Submucosal Uterine Fibroids: Because these develop within the uterus lining, they are most likely to be the cause of heavy flow during periods.
  4. Pedunculated Uterine Fibroids: These grow on the inner or outer side of a small stalk connecting to the uterus.

Common Symptoms:

  1. An enlarged uterus is the most common symptom. It is often mistaken for general weight gain or pregnancy.
  2. Prolonged and painful menstrual cycle, that is many times irregular.
  3. Urinary incontinence and constant urge to urinate.
  4. Pelvic pressure.
  5. Pressure on the bowels leading to constipation.
  6. Pain during intercourse.

General treatment
If you find out that you have fibroids during an examination or if you visit a doctor with any of these symptoms, they will most likely ask for an ultrasound or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) which will confirm the type of fibroid and the extent of your problem. Treatment includes non-invasive-focused ultrasound surgery.

Treatment with Homeopathy:
One of the best advantages of choosing Homeopathy is that it works without side effects. It addresses the issue rather than the symptom. A surgical procedure mentioned in general treatment does remove the fibroids but there is no guarantee that they won't grow back as the underlying issue of hormonal imbalance remains.

During a clinical study of the effects of Homeopathy on fibroids, 85% patients showed improvement and 48% people had complete fibroid removal.

Treatment: There are medicines in Homeopathy that can treat uterine fibroids, cervical fibroids and help maintain normal hormonal balance in females.

Please note that you need to identify if you are having any cyst/growth in the breast that is causing pain. If not then do a USG of both breasts. Take Belladonna 30 - twice daily for next 10 days/till the reports arrive.
