I am gastritis and sugar patient and also left hand back pain heart pain. Last day angiography done nothing comes no blockage. But acid in stomach still today and also gas and heartburn. Good to know about no blockages in heart vessels and normal endoscopy reports at age 42. Your blood sugar reports & BP should be in control too, so I presume. Our eating habits are faulty-accept it. Acid is produced within stomach to make food softer to digest and process is going on @ 24 hours whether we eat or fast-both are bad if done in excess. Drink either of these every 2 hours so that acid does not remain collected in stomach. It gets moving the healthy way without hurting the inner layer of stomach causing acidity and ulcers. 1) green tea or normal tea with ginger and saunf. 2) clear soups of any kind. 3) just plain warm water and avoid chilled cold drinks. 4) drink warm water with a bit of honey + lemon (cut down 20 calories elsewhere. 5) do eat normal food regularly but avoid excess of oils and spices ,which you must be taking care because of DM & prevention of heart disease. 5) it is not necessary to eat every vegetable/fruit. Avoid good foods but causing distention. 6) avoid non veg heavy foods if you eat. You can have boiled /scrambled eggs 7) stop Pantocid ,it has long term bad effects like kidney failure. Take saunf, heeng, jeera,ajwain, ginger and garlic and other kitchen masalas which soften the food. 8) digene type of antacids are safer as they are just chalk! 9) diluted toned milk/ chhachh are natural ant acids. 10) take these which work like cotton to absorb acid in stomach but do consider calories. These foods are healthy and nourishing too e g bananas, boiled potatoes but not fried, khichri or boiled rice and moong daal with curd, daal-roti-dahi, soft raw vegetables and fruits like guava, carrots ,radishes, salad leafy vegeies. Oats and other breakfast cereals. No juices but only fruits with lots of fiber. You can take enzyme syrups like unizyme/ aristozyme for better digestion. Good luck and do write back after a week.

1. Do regular aerobic exercise like brisk walking/jogging/running/cycling/swimming for 1 hour daily 2. Control diet 3. Avoid sweets, sugar, oily, fatty, excess calorie/cholesterol, saturated fat and carbohydrate rich diet. Take green leafy vegetables/fruits/salads. Drink plenty of water. Avoid junk food, bakery items like pizza/burger/cookies, soft drink, alcohol etc 5. Do yoga, pranayama, deep breathing exercise 6. Weight reduction process should be gradual, don't try drastic weight reduction by starving etc.

I'm a 48 years of age, female. Since about 3 months i'm experiencing discomfort in my right leg - knee & below - shin, calf & ankle. It's not pain really, just heaviness, stiffness & a nagging discomfort as if a muscle pull/stretched muscles. Beacause of this i'm unable to go for brisk walks or even pursue yoga. This is increasing my weight too. What do I do to relieve myself of this knee problem? please advise!

Start with physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for knee joint. Use knee cap open patella also. Don't sit on floors. Take calcium and methylcobalamine supplement with glucosamine for three months.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

I am suffering from severe both knee pain since october 2016. X ray report is showing loss of fluid in knees less gap between knee bones. Dr. Has advised to take the following medicines:- 1.nucoxia 90 one tablet a day 2.massage with oleum 3m oil thrice a day. Tablet nucoxia 90 is not suiting me and I not getting any relief form pain by taking it, while with voveran 50 tablet I get much relied in pain.

Hello! as per your X ray report, the changes in your knee joint suggest of osteo arthritis. Usually in this case, whichever painkiller you use, will give you temporary relief. Moreover, using painkillers again and again would give you adverse effects. So I suggest you to opt for a better option i.e, consulting a PHYSIOTHERAPIST who would help you in regaining a pain free lifestyle by teaching you exercises for your problem.

I take medicines from many local doctor's and also Neurologist Dr. from CMC ludhiana bt not much better results from all that. My Blood, uric acid, sugar and nervous system tata are normal. Sitting for long and working on PC can cause pain in hands and leg . As the tests are normal you only have to take some rest in between work and may also take a muscle relaxant and anti anxiety combination of drug

How Exercise Can Help In Keeping Your Bones Healthy?

Did you know that in addition to your diet, exercise is one of the best ways to make sure that you never lie on a hospital bed with a surgeon treating you for a bone disorder? Medical expertise has constantly pointed out to the fact that regular exercise makes your bones less likely to suffer from wear and tear during old age.

As you exercise, your muscles become stronger, your bone density increases and your balance improves. Of course, it goes without saying that you need to follow certain precautions before you exercise to avoid certain injuries.

Before starting any exercise program, make sure that you prepare your body for exercise. A brief warm up helps you to get your muscles ready for exercise. It also makes sure that your chances of injury are drastically reduced.

Here are some tips to keep your bones healthy:

  1. Weight lifting: Weight lifting is a type of exercise that, if done correctly, will be extremely beneficial for your bones. You can opt for simple bodyweight exercises such as pushups and squats, which build muscle as well as strength. Avoid using very heavy weights as it causes back-related problems such as slipped disk.

  2. Yoga: Yoga is another method of exercise which is very beneficial for bones and joints. The premise of yoga is static strength building wherein you hold a pose or an exercise for a certain period of time; this helps in strengthening your muscles. Along with your muscles, your bones also become stronger as you get fitter. Yoga is repetitive stress which is good for flexibility and hence keeps your joints supple and muscles in good shape. There are certain asanas which are weight bearing and anti-gravity postures can strengthen your bones. 

  3. Swimming: Swimming again is a good aerobic exercise and is good for back and over all fitness but doesn't strengthen bone per se. It is a way to keep you healthy. Swimming is a cardiovascular exercise, which is also known for its calorie burning capabilities. It is also very effective is incinerating fat and keeping your skeletal system healthy. Whereas walking and jogging and running certainly build your bones as they are weight bearing exercises.

  4. Pilates: Pilates is a new form of exercise that has been gaining a lot of steam lately. It does not require much equipment, as you can get started with just a mat. It is very effective in working your spine and the hips, thus keeping your lower back strong. A weak lower back increases the chances of bone disorders drastically. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

Hello. You know the reason of your problem. So have a habbit of unfixing your long sittings/standing. Do switch between your posture. Kindly opt for some spinal nd core muscle exercises :) proper diet + routine exercise is all you need! Regards!

My age is 23. My height is 6 ft. My weight is 78 kg. I also had habit of masturbation since 17-18 .i used to do it daily one time by rubbing penis against bed but. From last three years I was doing 4-5 times daily by rubbing penis against bed for hours. I never felt any type of weakness nor I look thin. I have a strong personality. The only thing I noticed that 70% of my hair are greyed now. 6 month ago I had problem of head pain. Half head pain and on back side of pain .It was migraine. I left masturbation and saturated focussing on yoga. I used yo do yoga daily for 2 hours. Two month after one day I had frequent urination. The same problem goes on for three day so I had check. It was urine infection along with prostate enlarge 22. 6 cc.and my weight was reduced then. 4-5 kg. Buf uric acid was normal. But from that day I used to have more symptom such as penis head pain. A very sharp pain inflammation of legs and whole body. Numbness and tingling in whole body. Pain in whole body even mouth. Stomach pain. noticed.my blood sugar even after eating reaches to less than 70 .from these five month excessive hair growth in my body. Too.much hair all over body. eyebrows are becoming thicker .head hair chest hair. Except I dnt have beard. I have high bp 150/100. All my these symptoms correlate to adrenal gland disease. I have dark coloured urine. I also have very smelly urine these days n.so bad smell. And my chest and abdomen enlargement along with hair growth on body is on increasing frequency these days. Or pituitary tumour as my head pains a lot but stomach too. My belly fat is coming too .i am gaining weight even I have reduced diet. Hi lybrate-user, masturbation does not cause adrenal gland disease. Hair fall/loss can be due to variety of causes. However, many of them can be controlled and dealt with. Nowadays back pain is a very common complaint in young adults. So donot worry. It can be due to various reasons any injury, muscle strain eg-sudden twist while lifting object, bad posture, overuse of muscle or any internal disease like spondylitis, infection etc. Many of the problem occurs for which we are not aware. After looking at your pain I can recommend you following treatment. Precautions: 1. Avoid forward bending, if required then bend your knees first and then bend forward. 2. Avoid weight lifting. 3. Sit in chairs or car seats with proper back support. 4. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back like sidelying. 5. Get enough vit d from sun as vit d keep bones strong including spine, 6. Drink plenty of water to enhance the inter vertebral disks 7. Avoid standing in the one position for a long time. 8. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back. Physio care: I would recommend you for i-care treatment that is especially for back or neck pain. Rest required but it doesn't mean a complete bed rest. Do not over exert your body. Work take rest and then work so that you do not feel tired and started paining. Treatment- 1. Apply ice or heat which ever suits you directly to the area of low back pain will decrease swelling and inflammation, and ease your discomfort. Apply it for 10 to 15 minutes only. 2. Relaxing for 5 minutes after ice or heat treatment. Massage - ask someone to massage your painful area using fingers or thumb. Massage using kneading technique. Slightly press the thumb and start rotating as it helps to induce relaxation, relieve pain, and reduce levels of stress chemicals, such as cortisol and noradrenaline. It will give you pain relief for time being. 3. After massage again relax for 5 min and apply any pain relieving ointment eg - volini or oraflame gel etc. Make sure not to do massage with the gel, it should not penetrate the body. Just a topical application of gel should be done. 4. Again relax your body for 5 minutes and perform some normal back extension and hamstring stretching exercises to get relief from your pain. While performing exercises if pain occurs then would recommend you to stop doing exercise. Massage or slightly rub the painful area and consult your near by physio to diagnose the actual cause of the pain as he/she can guide you proper exercise plan which will be beneficial for you after checking grade of your back pain. Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Dear lybrate-user, commonest cause of foot pain is faulty foot wear. So if you have foot pain may be we need to find out what is wrong with your foot wear. You also need a diagnosis so that needs detailed evaluation and imaging to come to a diagnosis. Meanwhile you can wriggle your toes and move them often in office when you are just sitting after removing your shoes.

Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.
