Hi. My father (59 yrs) is having breathing problem since past few years. The problem get worse after he gets up from sleep in the morning and that continues till 10 in the morning. One thing has been noticed is that if he remains awaken whole night then the problem doesn't arise. It arises only when he wakes up in the morning. Please suggest some ways to cure this problem. Also suggest which field of doctor should I consult for curing this.

Please do this for few nights before sleeping and see: strongly dust or hit all pillows before sleeping in nights. The dust accumulated on pillows during day may act as trigger during the hours of sleep in night. Taking warm drink like cow's milk in night is nice if not allergic to milk.

Due to night emissions my body is getting so weak my bones makes a cracking sound I feel lazy I get react easily with cold and productive cough immunity system is getting so much I take a proper diet but this problem remains same I didn't take any medicine please suggest me some medicine to make body immune system strong.

Improve your immunity by having healthy diet and drink plenty of liquids. Exercise daily. Take vitamin c tablet 1 daily to improve immunity. Take over-the-counter medicine for cough and cold of required during acute phase hope this helps you.

Dear doc, Of late I've got throat infection and days passing by it subsided but followed up with ulcers over and beneath the tongue till throat. Feeling pain under left jaw and tonsil swelling. There are several things you can do to prevent a cold. they are all easy. -Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. -Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough. -Get plenty of rest/sleep.staying at home will keep you from spreading germs.Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Drink plenty of fluids(veg/tomato soups,dal water/coconut water/herbal tea etc), and eat nutritious food(like sprouts/boiled eggs without yolk with milk). Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can impair your sleep -Treatment:A cold usually lasts for a week or two. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn't need medical treatment. -Complications like infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs must be treated with antibiotics. -Gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation. -Tablet nasorest-p once/twice daily may ease breathing. -Do steam inhalation once or twice daily -Cough- For dry cough.Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough.(1 tsp thrice daily) -Productive cough:it brings up mucus from behind the throat or the lungs.These coughs should not be suppressed to the point that they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. -Get chest xray done if cough lasts for more than a week and consult doctor immediately. -Head and body aches- take tablet Dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily.

It affects both our physical health and also contributes to anxiety and stress. Anxiety as such also leads to disruptions in sleep. When feeling anxious, always try to get a full 7 to 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep and it can work wonders to improve your condition. 2. Always keep smiling. Take a quick break in between your hectic work to get some laughs with your friends. Laughter can reduce depression and anxiety and has proven benefits. 3. Tidy up your living space or workspace. Keep your things clean and clutter-free. That helps us think clear and thus reducing levels of anxiety. 4. Say thank you often. Expressing your thanks for something helps reduce anxiety. 5. Eat smart. Eating more of foods which are rich in vitamin b and omega-3 fatty acids and also healthy whole grain carbs. Vitamin b contributes to good mental health. While omega 3 fatty acids help with both depression and anxiety. Whole grain foods boost serotonin and helps us remain poised. Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops.

If confirmed case of sinusitis, can take emlukast fx 1 tab/day with breakfast with flutiflo ft nasal spray 1 spray each nostril once/day for 1 month and take augmentin 625 three/day with meal for 7 days. Augmentin is antibiotics and should not be used frequently.

You can apply these home remedies for relief: • Take 1/2 piece of ginger, crush it and squze its juice and mix it with one teaspoon of honey and take 1/2 spoon of this mixture 2 times in a day. • Take 4 - 5 tulsi leaves and 1/2 piece of ginger and 1 glass of water mix both of them in water and boil it till half glass of water remain in the container then drink it by add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. • Avoid cold water, ice creams, and pickle. • Take strepsils or sualiin (hamdard pharma) 1 tablet 3 times per day or slowly suck a piece of mulethi. • Drink lukewarm water. * Take steam by adding 3 to 5 tulsi leaves in water for 5 minutes.

You have not mentioned the age of the child. Children usually vomit following a bout of cough. Children usually swallow sputum. Hence needs to be treated with an expectorant.
