Fluids keep the throat moist and prevent dehydration. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, which can dehydrate you. Try comforting foods and beverage. Warm liquids — broth, caffeine-free tea or warm water with honey — and cold treats such as ice pops can soothe a sore throat. Stop Coughing Day and Night Try an expectorant. Over-the-counter (OTC) cough medications with an expectorant such as guaifenesin work by clearing the mucus and other secretions of a productive cough so that you can breathe easier. Take a cough suppressant. ... Sip green tea. ... Stay hydrated. ... Suck on lozenges. Some measures you can take to relieve muscle discomfort from injuries and overuse include: resting the area of the body where you are experiencing aches and pains. taking an over-the-counter pain reliever, such as ibuprofen (Advil) applying ice to the affected area to help relieve pain and reduce inflammation.

Dear lybrate-user, Long course of medication can disturb Oral & Gut flora. Taste & Digestion would be affected in this scenario, try eating your regular balanced diet, take help of prebiotics for digestion normalcy. Have patience, this will resolve on its own. Wishing you Good Health.

Hello, your cholesterol is higher than normal limits, please continue treatment for depression until you consult your psychiatrist. Dry cough is generally not related to depression. There might be some other reasons to rule out. Thank you

Homoeopathy is wonderful in treating such chronic, repetitive complaints More details like your family history, past history, thermals, thirst, desires aversions, attitudes is required to make a prescription especially in a chronic case such as yours. Consult in private with the above details. More questions may be asked if required. 1.Reach for fluids. As with any illness, staying hydrated is your first line of defense against coughing. If your cough stems from a dry throat, a little hydration might be all you need. Even if your cough is caused by something else, drinking plenty of fluids is never a bad idea 2 Make the fluids warm. For certain coughs, such as ones caused by congestion or sinus drainage, warm liquids can be even more effective than cold or room temperature ones. 3.Try saltwater. Particularly in cases of cold- or flu-related coughs, salt water is your friend. 4.Consider steam — in some cases. Conventional wisdom often dictates that steam from a shower or a humidifier can help combat a cough; however, that’s only the case if your cough is due to dry air. If you’re coughing because of congestion, asthma, dust mites, or mold, among other causes, moist air could actually make your cough worse. 5.Stay upright. Being horizontal can cause mucus to drain into your throat. When sleeping with a cough, for example, you should prop up your head with pillows to prevent sinus drainage from pooling in your throat, causing you to cough. 6.Keep the air clean. Stay away from dirty air, including cigarette smoke.Particulates in the air could either be the source of your cough or worsen one that has other causes. Strong fragrances, such as perfumes, can cause some people to cough, even if they’re not irritating to others 7.Keep the air still. Avoid wind, ceiling fans, heaters, and air conditioners, because moving air can make coughs worse For medication consult online in private
