My daughter 11 yrs old has a disorientation of teeth/ jaw wereby she is not able to close her mouth properly. She often sleeps with mouth open. Her new teeth are big compared to the milk teeth 2-4 left to fall. Showed a dentist. He suggested to wait till all milk teeth fall. Any remedy available now as she finds it difficult.

Probably she has adenoids or allergic rhinitis, due to this reason she is mouth breather. By this age her milk teeth must have fallen. Dentist must require to put braces, and at the same time meta sprey nasal sprey may be required. If there are adenoids then she may require surgery.

For running nose put saline nasal drops frequently into each nostril. Cough for such a long duration might need evaluation.

You feed nan only if you must and with a cup and spoon or with a sipper and not feed him from a bottle. Also send me his tsh report and keep in touch so that I can guide you regularly as your personal doctor. Frequent motion is due to 1) bottle feeding and 2) possibly due to hypothyroidism. As you are giving formula feed give boiled water with s spoon in between feeds and reply to me.

Dear lybrate-user, yes you can offer oats to your 8mth baby. Oats are good cereals containing digestible fibre ,proteins, vitE and, carbohydrates .By increasing intestine transit time it gives satiety. Only fat is to be mixed in the form of ghee or edible oils to make it complete food for your baby.

Sir, I have a 8 years old son studying in grade 2, he is very impulsive, never sit and concentrate, never obey and listen, very destructive, sometimes hits back on us. He enjoy the repetitive task from where we stop. Please give me your kind suggestion.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, Post Graduate Program in Diabetology
General Physician, Delhi
Dear lybrate-user this is an issue with behavioural aspects There are specialists called child psychologist or counsellors These are not psychiatrists You need to consult them It is easier to mould the child at this stage rather than later.
