Hi, it'a s multivitamin and the main ingredient of hairoots is biotin which helps in thickening of thin hair and regrows hair from a dormant hair follicle/ s. Take one capsule once daily with breakfast for 3 months only (as excess may harm you) and then discontinue the use. You can also take homoeopathic medication which is pretty safe (don't take it on your own) - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and 10 drops of arnica montana q in 1/2 cup of water and apply on the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor. Repeat the above process every 3rd day for few months. There are certain nutrients that you can add to your daily routine that can help encourage faster, more effective hair growth. Promote thicker hair with folic acid. This is necessary for the growth and repair of hair, take follihair/ 1 tablet daily for 3 months. You can also try increasing the amount of folic acid in your diet. Folic acid can be found in whole-grain breads and cereals, leafy green vegetables, peas, and nuts. Increase your biotin intake. Biotin is an important water-soluble b vitamin, necessary for the the formation of fatty acids and glucose, as well as for metabolizing amino acids and carbohydrates. A biotin deficiency can lead to hair loss, so making sure you are getting the recommended amount is well worth the effort. Biotin is found in liver, oysters, cauliflower, beans, fish, carrots, bananas, soy flour, egg yolks, cereals, yeast, and other foods. Management: -exfoliate your face. Hair follicles can become blocked with dirt and prevent your hair from growing. Once a week, wear an exfoliant mask with eucalyptus. It's great for your skin, and can help promote hair growth. -massage your hair follicles. A gentle massage can help stimulate your hair follicles. Use your finger tips, and gently massage your face in circular motions for about two to three minutes. Try applying a facial moisturizer to create a smoother massage. -take in vitamin a. This vitamin stimulates the production of sebum, which keeps your hair follicles and skin hydrated. You can find vitamin a in eggs, meat, cheese, liver, carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, and dark green leafy vegetables. -get plenty of vitamin e, which has long been recognized as key for healthy skin, and can increase blood flow, which leads to an optimal environment for hair growth. Foods rich in vitamin e include oils, leafy vegetables, nuts, and beans, and most people get plenty of vitamin e when eating a normal diet. -boost circulation with vitamin b3. Healthy circulation may have a positive effect on hair growth. Reports find that b3 is even more effective when taken with biotin. -take in vitamin b5. This is also known as pantothenic acid. It not only helps the body use fats and proteins, necessary for healthy hair, it also has been reported to help reduce stress; and stress can definitely inhibit hair growth. Vitamin b5 occurs naturally in brewer's yeast, broccoli, avocado, egg yolks, organ meats, duck, milk, lobster, whole-grain breads, and more.

Heart Problems - How Alcohol Can Worsen It?

You must have heard this very often that drinking alcohol can lead to heart problems or even a heart attack, but you might not be sure how this is exactly explained. There is no doubt that consuming anything in excess can lead to serious health issues. Interestingly experts invariably mention that a drink or two every day keeps your heart healthy and can even prevent a stroke from occurring. So how does this gel with the conclusion that alcohol is not good for your heart? 

It starts with pre-existing conditions
Before one even considers this question of excessive alcohol consumption, the more critical issue is there are certain categories of people who should not go anywhere near a bottle of the liquor. These are:

  • Diabetics
  • Those with known conditions of high BP
  • People who have already suffered strokes or have heart-related issues
  • Those having high triglycerides and also
  • Those already consuming certain medications for any condition not related to above
  • You can add pregnant women to this as well as people who are already obese.

In the case of these people, the risk of alcohol consumption is high and as far as possible they should avoid drinking any alcoholic liquor. The difficulty that arises in most cases is people may not be aware that they could be carrying some of these conditions and they would be merrily enjoying their evening drinks or even a weekend binge. These could be quite dangerous for their health. In the last category listed above, alcohol might react adversely with some drugs and if the person is taking the drugs regularly, it puts him/her directly in the line of risk of a heart failure.

The effect of alcohol on your system
The chemistry part of this is explained that alcohol can directly impact the individual’s blood pressure. It tends to increase as the person keeps drinking over and over. Simultaneously there is an increase in certain fats in the bloodstream. Indirectly, this fat could lead to obesity and that could precipitate disorders like diabetes.

Apart from this, there is sufficient evidence to link excessive drinking to life-threatening diseases like cancer, peptic ulcers and serious deficiencies in the liver that can lead to fatality. So from every perspective, consumption of alcohol of any concentration, meaning whether it is beer or wine or the harder forms like whisky and rum, the risk to the heart is real and for those with prior conditions, the damage to the health could only get hastened.

My heart beats fast than usual and than I get scared and than again it starts beating faster. I control it and than I get scared that why this is happening than again it beats faster, it happens when I get severe acidity, this is the second time it happened and I get tensed when it happens need resolution.

Dear lybrate-user, Heart beating fast can happen in many hormonal and medical conditions, heart valve condition and psychiatric disorders. If you are afraid, your heart will beat fast. If your heart beats fast, you will be scared. It is a vicious cycle. Please go to a psychiatrist, get diagnosed and treated properly. He may ask you for few blood tests and an echo-cardiogram. Later prescribe tablets to treat. The acidity may be related to the tension and heart beating fast, rather than causing these. It also needs diagnosis and treatment.

Mouth ulcers are normally due to vitamin deficiency or bad digestion. Other causes includes stress, allergies to certain foods and medication, change in lifestyle, increased body heat, consumption of oilly, spicy n junk foods. So start taking vitamin supplements. Avoid outside food, oilly n spicy foods. Increase your water intake. Eat a healthy n balanced diet. Include more raw vegetables and fruits. Reduce your stress level.

My grandmother is 90 years old, she doesn't keep her legs straight and around her hips she has a wound which she got while scratching and we can see the flashy part. Could you please suggest us what medication to take or precautions.

Yes candid is safe, you may instead use verena ointment which is best and can treat all kinds of vaginal infections, apart from this she will have to maintain good personal hygiene and drink lots of water.

I want to know if there is simple medicine in alopathic,homeopathy,ayurvedic etc.My psa is 2.8 which is within normal limits but ultrasound scanning shows enlargement.Urine flow is OK so also frequency.

how old are you? all most all male will develop enlargement of prostate after an age and if PSA is normal then elrargment may be benign not maligmant so just keep a track on PSA and if you dont have urinary problem no need to worry at all. there are medicines for symptoms but as you are asymptomatic, no need of any medicine now.

I had high triglycerides ,others valve in lipid profile are normal and intake lipagyln at morning.

Hi, Continue to take the medicines to reduce the triglycerides levels in the blood. Repeat the lipid profile after 3 months. Avoid all fried food and sweets, coconut gratings or copra. Use rice bran oil or olive oil for cooking and use less oil food preparations. Walk everyday for 1 hour and perform some yogic asanas after being trained by a good yoga teacher.

Hi, I am 20 years old. I weigh 88 kilos and my height is 5'11 inches. I have been trying to lose weight. I am following a low calorie diet and I work out regularly at the gym. I want to get better results. Someone told me that taking a fat burner as a supplement will help me in losing weight and boost my energy. This is my first step towards any physiatrist. I'm going through suicidal feelings. Depression. stress. Also don't feel like stepping out of the house. My heart beats go high when in crowd and I turn totally blank.

You are into an anger-related depression. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do calisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.
