I am 30 years old my eyesight is too weak. My contact lenses number is -21 wht I have to do to increase eye vision.

MS - Ophthalmology
Ophthalmologist, Ahmedabad
After the age of 18 the numbers does not change and so does not the eye-sight. But instead of contact lenses if you go for a surgery called" clear lens exchange" then definitely the quality of vision will increase as compared to right now.

I am a 30 year old Male and have beeb diagnosed with keratoconus. Can you please tell me if that is at all curable. What are the best treatment options. Will it lwad to blindness in the end.

FPRS, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Pune
Keratoconus can be controlled and not cured c3r corneal collagen crosslinking is treatment of choice to halt progression in cases which progress. Your age is 31, and keratoconus usually stabilises by 35 or 40. If not severe, usually does not cause blindness.

I want to do LASIK surgery to my eyes for better vision, Can I get the details regarding this.

FPRS, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Pune
Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not

unfortunately there are no natural medications to remove spectacles permanently. . you can either try contact lenses or plan for refractive lasik laser surgery but not for your right eye.. its too low for laser surgery

Foreign body in eyes. Some are medical emergencies and some are a cause for concern, but not an emergency. Others are nothing to worry about. Consult your local eye specilist to see what is the cause

When I walk on high sunlight I have a problem with my eyes. Eyea were turn red and heavy headache. What should I do.

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hello Sam, Walking under sunlight without any protection to the eyes is bound to make your eyes red. Direct sun light harms your eyes in turn making them red. You need to use dark tinted sun glasses in order to protect your eyes from direct sun light. The sun glasses will even protect your eyes and decrease the headache also.
