Sensitivity in teeth can be due to receding gum level which exposes root surface of the teeth. For sensitivity you can use desensitising toothpaste and a mouthwash at night. If it is not cured even then you can go for professional cleaning which restores gum level almost to normal even after only one sitting. It is also the remedy for yellowness of teeth.

Hello... Your question is little bit incomplete..you have not mentioned about number of missing teeth bcz generally bridge is given to replace missing teeth.. You can have 2 option... 1..Go for RCT followed by crown and missing tooth should be replaced by dental implants.. 2...Go for RCT and filled by bridge to replace missing teeth Choice is yours bcz price varies... But which option is best for you I can only let you know after seeing your teeth photographs...show me the pictures and I will give you best advice which you would never regret ! Regards !

If it is a structural abnormality & you have been observing lately you need to consult a cosmetic surgeon & if it is temporarily then you need to know soft tissue swelling which might be from parotids underlying gums or local skin. So first understand actual swelling & its origin confirm it then look for a treatment.

Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.

Normal teeth are very strong. If you teeth move then you might be having gum problems. First get your gums cured. And then go for braces. Don't delay because this is the best period life for you to get braces.

I have dry mouth at night much more, today I could not eat food, what can I do for it.

I have dry mouth at night much more, today I could not eat food, what can I do for it.
CAUSES OF DRY MOUTH What Causes Dry Mouth? Causes of dry mouth include •Side effect of certain medications. Dry mouth is a common side effect of many prescription and nonprescription drugs, including drugs used to treat depression, anxiety, pain, allergies, and colds (antihistamines and decongestants), obesity, acne, epilepsy, hypertension (diuretics), diarrhea, nausea, psychotic disorders, urinary incontinence, asthma (certain bronchodilators), and Parkinson's disease. Dry mouth can also be a side effect of muscle relaxants and sedatives. •Side effect of certain diseases and infections. Dry mouth can be a side effect of medical conditions, including Sjögren's syndrome, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, anemia, cystic fibrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and mumps. •Side effect of certain medical treatments. Damage to the salivary glands, the glands that make saliva, can reduce the amount of saliva produced. For example, the damage could stem from radiation to the head and neck, and chemotherapy treatments, for cancer. •Nerve damage. Dry mouth can be a result of nerve damage to the head and neck area from an injury or surgery. •Dehydration. Conditions that lead to dehydration, such as fever, excessive sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, blood loss, and burns can cause dry mouth. •Surgical removal of the salivary glands. •Lifestyle. Smoking or chewing tobacco can affect how much saliva you make and aggravate dry mouth. Breathing with your mouth open a lot can also contribute to the problem. What Can I Do to Manage Dry Mouth? To minimize dry mouth: 1. Drink water frequently to keep your mouth moist and loosen mucus. Carry water with you to sip throughout the day and keep water by your bed at night. 2. Suck on sugar-free hard candies, ice chips, or sugar-free popsicles. Chew sugarless gum (gums containing xylitol). These sucking and chewing actions help stimulate saliva flow. 3. Moisten foods with broths, soups, sauces, gravy, creams, and butter or margarine. Eat soft, moist foods that are cool or at room temperature. 4. Avoid commercial mouth rinses or mouthwashes that contain alcohol or peroxide. These ingredients will further dry out your mouth. 5. Avoid salty foods, dry foods (for example, crackers, toast, cookies, dry breads, dry meats/poultry/fish, dried fruit, bananas) and foods and beverages with high sugar content. 6. Avoid drinks containing alcohol or caffeine (for example, coffees, teas, some colas, chocolate-containing drinks). Alcohol increases water loss by triggering frequent urination. Alcohol, as well as caffeine, also dries out the mouth. Also avoid acidic beverages, such as any fruit juices (orange, apple, grape, grapefruit) and tomato juice. Other tips to reduce irritation associated with dry mouth include: 1. Minimize your intake of spicy or salty foods as these may cause pain in a dry mouth. 2. Quit smoking. 3. Use a moisturizer on your lips to minimize irritation. 4. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush on your teeth and gums; rinse your mouth before and after meals with plain water or a mild mouth rinse (made with 8 ounces of water, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon baking soda). Brush with a fluoride-containing toothpaste. 5. Use a humidifier to increase the humidity in your home, especially at night.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I had root canal be for three years back and had cap on my molar jaw but from last 3 or 4 month there is a ulcer on the.
If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

You will have to get professional cleaning ie scaling and polishing done to get rid of yellow stains from your teeth. There are no homemade remedies for the same. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique.

Hi The enamel of my teeth has become weak leading to chewing problem. Dentist advised vantage toothpaste, which has helped. What else can I do?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Hello, sir chewing problems can also be caused due to unhealthy gums around teeth, so get cleaning procedures done yearly and use gum paint massages to stregthen your gums. If needed restorations or crowns can be given where the enamel has chipped or broken.
