Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Recently I came across a site Regenexx ortho sport amazing to read they r offering no surgery even in case of acl n meniscus tear just 3 injection shots which is combn of patient hip bone marrow partial n platelets they just shot into patient knee joint n charging nearly 2 lakkhs per knee while arthroscopic surgeons charging 80 k to 1 lakh for meniscus surgery n further 50k to 70k for acl repair including months of pain n rehab process is the former claim for injection treatment is genuine or not I met several orthopedics who r offering surgery but any treatment as Regenexx claiming please Doctors clear my doubt.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Hi Dr. My posture is in a bad condition due to reason unknown, I have taken some Physiotherapy but it is no use, not finding a good Dr or those Dr' s may not diagnosis my issue properly hence giving the wrong treatment, If any Dr. Available to help me on this I' ll be thank full to him/her.

This is quite a common condition Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency. Sleep on a hard bed. Use no pillow under the head. Any way Take CALDIKIND PLUS 1 tab daily for 10days Paracetamol 250mg TDS x 3 days Contact me after that. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. It may have to be further investigated.

you have to avoid lifting heavy weight for atleast 6 months and if can avoid lifting weights permanently then its going to help your back. once you have a vertebral fracture then there is going to be some change in the alignment and this by itself can cause back pain .

I' m suffering from frozen shoulder from last five months and my left arm is lifting till 90 degree only with continuous pain. Let me know what to do?

Treatment of frozen shoulder is done by exercise and physiotherapy. Sometimes it can take months to get relief. In severe cases manipulation of the shoulder is done under anesthesia to give quicker relief. Ice packs immediately before and after physio will help reduce the pain during physio. Take physiotherapy treatment and For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and for acidity take cp velozD once before breakfast and also start with Tablet folvite 5mg once a day for six months and tablet vitamin D3 60000iu once a week for six months

Get xray of LS spine n coccyx could be a small fracture to your tailbone due to accident causing pain while sitting. & try sitting on a doughnut/ tyre kept on chair. Avoid bike travels for atlst a year

I would also like to ask you the duration of your upper limb radiating pain and associated symptoms? I would actually like to see a neurological charting of your upper limbs done by a physical therapist ( both motor and sensory charting). Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. From an orthopaedic point of view I can advise you for intensive physical therapy, daily brisk walks for 2-3 km, gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol for pain relief for 5-7 days, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake. Start with Physiotherapy treatment to reduce Back pain. Learn spinal exercises. Correct your posture. Don't sit on floor Don't lift heavy things.

Problem is that I was in depression, anxiety disorder and breathing problem like happen and when it starts my hand and legs started to pain after drinking water am getting relief ,I got treatment with neurologist and cardiologist they did test of Hb and EEG of brain report was normal and they gave me medicine but am not getting relief the attack of breathing (huffni) is cautious what should I do please help me mam.

Hi lybrate-user, what you are describing sounds like an anxiety attack and since you have already been diagnosed with anxiety I suggest that in addition to medication, you should get to the root of the issue. Try some pranayam and yoga. I would also advise that you seek help from a professional counsellor. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Don't worry. 1. Take rest for 2 days from training. Continue daily activities. 2. Take healthy nutritious diet with protein, calcium and vitamins. 3. Apply cold pack on area for 10 mins 4 times a day. Apply topical painkiller creams too. 4. Take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen round the clock for 2 to 3 days. 5. Start your training again once pain is decreased and begin with stretches. Consult again if needed.

I just got my mri reports and it says that loss of usual cervical and lumbar lordosis curvatures. Partial disc desiccation with mild posterior disc bulges are seen at c-4 -c5 and c6 -c7 level indenting the thecal sac. Disc desiccation with diffuse disc bulge is seen at l5 and s1 level intending the thecal sac. What should I do. I am male 30.

She is a wise lady and understands the bad effects of pain killers. Pl start hot water bath, hot water drink and Panchakol Kwath (get from Pansari: chvya, Chitrak, sonth, Peepal, peeplamool. Boil these). Drink one cup daily. Light massage over back by warming herbal oil or any other deep penetrating oil. In the meantime, pl get X-ray of Lumbo-sacral spine done and send report. If osteophytes, spondylosis etc are in the offing, additional treatment would be advised. Also take turmeric in warm milk or water daily.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, Sorry to hear this. Cervical spondylosis can cause shoulder and neck pain. Vision problems can be very rarely associated with spondylosis. Please share your MRI report. Best wishes.

Hi Dr. 3 weeks ago there was a suspected fracture in my hand so I put the plaster on it for 3 weeks then it became calcified in the elbow joint the Dr. transferred me to the physical treatment but its painful and I do not want to make any surgery could you please advice me? Thank you.

initially it will pain as joint get stiff in plaster but as your range will start improving less pain you will experience. vefore exercises dip your hand in warm water or physio wax to relax muscles
