Hello. Darker urine is usually a sign that you're not drinking enough fluid. Certain medications can turn the urine fluorescent green or blue, vitamins can give it a yellow hue. Yellow urine may also there in jaundice. Certain food also turns the colour of urine yellow like beetroot. Blood in the urine, also known as Haematuria, can cause darker urine. Haemolytic Anemia can cause dark yellow urine color. Hepatitis (inflammation of liver) can cause a darker urine color. So, get your urine tested and blood tested for CBC & LFT done.

What Is the symptoms of kidney failure and how to or what is the procedure to solve to save our kidney.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Signs and symptoms of chronic kidney disease develop over time if kidney damage progresses slowly. Signs and symptoms of kidney disease may include: • Nausea • Vomiting • Loss of appetite • Fatigue and weakness • Sleep problems • Changes in urine output • Decreased mental sharpness • Muscle twitches and cramps • Hiccups • Swelling of feet and ankles • Persistent itching • Chest pain, if fluid builds up around the lining of the heart • Shortness of breath, if fluid builds up in the lungs • High blood pressure (hypertension) that's difficult to control Signs and symptoms of kidney disease are often nonspecific, meaning they can also be caused by other illnesses. And because your kidneys are highly adaptable and able to compensate for lost function, signs and symptoms may not appear until irreversible damage has occurred. HOW TO MAINTAIN OUR KIDNEY HEALTH 1.Keep your blood pressure at the target set by your Doctor. For most people, the blood pressure target is less than 140/90 mm Hg. This can delay or prevent kidney failure. 2.If you have diabetes, control your blood glucose level. 3.Keep your cholesterol levels in the target range. 4.Take medicines as per your Doctor advise and don’t go for OTC drugs like combiflam,Disprin,Asprin without your Doctors recommendation. 5.Cut back on salt. Aim for less than 2,300 milligrams of sodium each day. 6.Choose foods that are healthy for your heart: fresh fruits, fresh or frozen vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy foods. 7.Limit your alcohol intake. 8.Be more physically active. 9.Lose weight if you are overweight. 10.If you smoke, take steps to quit. Cigarette smoking can make kidney damage worse.

Kidney stones are a very common health problem. They form from the chemicals in urine, such as uric acid, phosphorous, calcium and oxalic acid. Other common causes of kidney stones are excessive consumption of vitamin D, a mineral imbalance, dehydration, gout and an improper diet Irrespective of the size of the kidney stones, they can cause severe pain. Other symptoms include a desire to urinate frequently, painful urination, nausea, vomiting and excessive sweating. Pomegranate Both the seeds and juice of pomegranates have astringent properties that can help in the treatment of kidney stones. ? Try to eat one whole pomegranate or drink one glass of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice daily. You can mix pomegranate in a fruit salad also. Another option is to grind one tablespoon of pomegranate seeds into a fine paste. Eat this paste along with a cup of horse gram soup once daily. This remedy will help dissolve the stones. Being high in fiber, kidney beans can be effective in the treatment of any kind of kidney or bladder problem, including kidney stones. ? Remove the beans from inside the pods, then put the beans in hot water. Simmer the water on low flame for hours until the beans become soft and tender. Strain the liquid and allow it to cool. Strain the liquid again. Drink it several times throughout the day to relieve kidney stone pain. This liquid should not be kept for more than 24 hours, as it will lose its therapeutic properties. ? You can also eat kidney beans in soup or salad. To conclude, you can try any of these natural remedies for treating kidney stones Ayurvedic medicenes are neeri syrup and calcury syrup and vrikkdoshhar vati for more queries inform me.

Hi. If the quantity of post-void residual urine is more then a person feels like to urinate frequently. Is there any family history of diabetes? Get your blood sugar (fasting & PP both) and urine examination (routine & microscopic) done to rule out any infection. Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water everyday.

I am sorry to say but these reports are suggestive of chronic kidney disease. There is no definitive treatment apart from renal transplant. Routine dialysis is needed to survive. Low protein diet should be taken. Regular medicines should be taken.

Nephrotic Syndrome: Know Its Causes and Treatment!

Nephrotic Syndrome: Know Its Causes and Treatment!

Glomerulonephritis is a disease that is caused due to inflammation of the small filters that are present within the kidneys or glomeruli. Glomeruli eliminate the excess waste, electrolytes and fluids from the blood, discharged through urine. A glomerular disease can be either acute or chronic. If the condition arises without a combination of any other disease, it is termed as primary glomerulonephritis. Secondary glomerulonephritis is characterized by diabetes or lupus (an auto-immune disorder) being at the root of the disease. Prolonged or severe inflammation can take a toll on the kidneys.

Causes-

Nephrotic syndrome can be primary, being a disease specific to the kidneys, or it can be secondary, being a renal manifestation of a systemic general illness. In all cases, injury to glomeruli is an essential feature. Kidney diseases that affect tubules and interstitium, such as interstitial nephritis, will not cause nephrotic syndrome.

Primary causes of nephrotic syndrome include the following, in approximate order of frequency:

  1. Minimal-change nephropathy
  2. Focal glomerulosclerosis
  3. Membranous nephropathy
  4. Hereditary nephropathies

Secondary causes include the following, again in order of approximate frequency:

  1. Diabetes mellitus
  2. Lupus erythematosus
  3. Viral infections (e.g., hepatitis B, hepatitis C, human immunodeficiency virus [HIV] )
  4. Amyloidosis and paraproteinemias
  5. Preeclampsia
  6. Allo-antibodies from enzyme replacement therapy

Nephrotic-range proteinuria may occur in other kidney diseases, such as IgA nephropathy. In that common glomerular disease, one-third of patients may have nephrotic-range proteinuria.

Nephrotic syndrome may occur in persons with sickle cell disease and evolve to renal failure. From a therapeutic perspective, nephrotic syndrome may be classified as steroid sensitive, steroid resistant, steroid dependent, or frequently relapsing.

Treatment-

  1. Whether one is suffering from acute or chronic nephrotic glomerular , with symptoms moderate or severe, the treatment lies in treating high blood pressure and other underlying conditions of the disease.

  2. Water pills help control sweating, thus increasing the fluid flushed from the kidneys.

  3. Statins reduce cholesterol level.

  4. Blood thinners such as anticoagulants lower the risk of blood clots.

  5. Corticosteroids regulate the immune system and ease the inflammation that results from kidney disorders.

  6. Incorporating certain lifestyle changes such as opting for lean proteins, cutting on the intake of fat in the diet and consuming lesser amounts of salt can treat inflammation and swelling.

  7. For kidney failure, dialysis can come to the aid in eliminating excess fluids and regulating hypertension.
