Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally.

1-may be you have hot fomentation 2-use a lumbo sacral belt 3-avoid forward bending across 30* 4-correct the bad posture and 5-hip strengthening exercises regularly.

I am suffering from leg pain. When I run or play or even l walk for few minutes the pain begins. It is very miserable. I am now only 27. Please advise me how to recover this problem.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Sit straight and maintain your posture avoid long sitting and toward bending tk a soft pillow for back support and nutrition must for you do heat fermentation and gentle massage of full spine tk a muscle relaxant medicine.

Hi, many people with back pain have jobs that require prolonged sitting. In most cases, these people are leaning or hunching forward over a desk, causing the curve in the lower back to straighten or reverse. If you spend significant time in a sitting position, then you have to either remember to keep the arch in your back or get a small pillow or lumbar cushion to keep it there for you. Of course, the best thing you can do for prolonged sitting is to get up and move around. You will be greatly surprised how beneficial it can be to take two ten-second laps around your desk every half hour. If you must sit for long periods, rest your feet on the floor or on a low stool, whichever is more comfortable.

Hello lybrate-user you may have piles or fissures. Try to avoid constipation, take some herbal mild laxative for few days, drinks lots of liquids like fruit juices, tender coconut water, whey, lemon juice (sharbat), vegetable soups. Avoid continuous sitting.

My mother (65yrs) have has lower back problem, i was asked to take an MRI, after seeing the report, i was advised to go for antidiural injection is it safe? Are there any other alternatives which can relieve her from pain.

Dear. age, height, weight.muscle mass. activities all maters... if you take injections also pain will go temporary.... take physiotherapy consultation and take lumbar traction + ift modalities.. and some exercise... but better not to go for that. only in very severe pain unbareble pain for 2 days then only take injection.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation.

Hi lybrate user, before doing yoga or gym, please do proper warm up exercises of 10-15 minutes. In these 10-15 minutes do some walk, jog and side jumps and light stretches. Your back pain happens because the instructors may not be getting proper warm up done. Plus whenever you start any exercises. It is important to build up slowly and gradually. Yoga does not mean training for acrobatics. It is just a way of increasing your physical and mental abilities. Do it slowly and step by step. Do not overstretch. Whatever you can't do. Don't do it. If your body is telling you to stop then stop. You know your body better than your instructor. Any exercise you feel uncomfortable. Do as much as you can and then stop. Use any balm to massage your back. It will get okay with time. All the best.

I am 19 years old Female. I done Pyloplasty surgery in right kidney before 2 years. Because the way of Right Kidney to Urinal pipe Is too small from I born. But the symptoms I found pain in The age of 17. After The Surgery I Have Back pain and Right Leg pain. During periods, I have Right side Stomach pain. So I Consult doctor. Migrae migraine is more of a preventable disease than curative. You have to identify the triggers of your headache and avoid them. Avoid exposure to bright light, loud sound, sunlight. Avoid stress. Avoid chocolate and coffee. Have enough sleep. Drink 3-4 litres of water daily. I can prescribe you prophylactic medicines too if you want.
