Hi lybrate-user the best solution is avoid having the oily and junk food. Because it is not necessary that oil food alone will be stored in the body, even high sugar will be transformed into cholesterol. Start to do regular exercise for 1 hour daily, it is the only best solution which I can give to overcome this problem.

Dear, you need to reduce the cholesterol levels. High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) what is hypercholesterolemia? hypercholesterolemia is a condition in which the level of cholesterol in your blood is high. When you have too much cholesterol, deposits of fat in the blood called plaque form inside blood vessel walls. The blood vessel walls thicken and become narrower (a condition called atherosclerosis). This change in the blood vessels reduces blood flow through the blood vessels, increasing your risk of heart disease and possibly leading to heart attacks or strokes. Cholesterol is a naturally occurring fatty substance. Your body needs small amounts of cholesterol to make and maintain nerve cells and to produce hormones. Most of the cholesterol in your blood is made by your liver from the fats, carbohydrates, and proteins you eat. You also get cholesterol by eating animal products such as meat, eggs, and dairy products. The two most important components of cholesterol are ldl (low-density lipoprotein) and hdl (high-density lipoprotein). Ldl and hdl carry cholesterol through your blood. Ldls carry a lot of cholesterol, leave behind fatty deposits on your artery walls, and contribute to heart disease. Hdls do the opposite. They clean the artery walls and remove extra cholesterol from the body, thus lowering the risk of heart disease. Ldl is called" bad" cholesterol. (you can think of" l" for" lousy" cholesterol.) hdl is called" good" cholesterol (think of" h" for" healthy" cholesterol). It is good to have low levels of ldl and high levels of hdl. How does high cholesterol occur? the main cause of high cholesterol is eating foods that are high in saturated fat or cholesterol. Other possible causes are? an inherited problem with the way your body processes cholesterol? a disease that raises the cholesterol level (for example, diabetes mellitus, kidney disease, liver disease, or hypothyroidism). What are the symptoms? high cholesterol is a silent disease. There are no symptoms until problems have already developed, such as the chest pain of a heart attack or calf pain with walking, caused by narrowed or blocked arteries to the legs. How is it diagnosed? you will have blood tests to check your cholesterol level. These lab tests usually measure your total cholesterol level as well as the levels of low-density lipoprotein (ldl), high-density lipoprotein (hdl), and triglycerides. You may need to fast before your blood test. This means you do not eat or drink anything except water for 12 hours before the test. Your health care provider may give you a physical exam. He or she may ask about your diet and diseases and health problems in your family. How is it treated? the goal of most cholesterol treatment is to decrease the ldl in your blood and to raise the hdl. For every 1% decrease in cholesterol level, your risk of heart disease is reduced 2%. A diet high in fiber and low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol can help to lower cholesterol levels. For more information on changes you can make in your diet, see health maintenance: controlling cholesterol. You will need to lose weight if you are overweight. You should also exercise as recommended by your health care provider. If diet and exercise are not enough to reduce your cholesterol level, your health care provider may prescribe drugs. Among the drugs commonly used are cholestyramine, niacin, gemfibrozil, atorvastatin, fluvastatin, lovastatin, pravastatin, and simvastatin. Each medicine has slightly different effects. Sometimes you will need to take more than one medicine to decrease your total cholesterol. Your health care provider will choose the best medicines for you. How can I take care of myself and prevent high cholesterol? in addition to changing your diet, you can help lower your cholesterol by the following? get more exercise, especially aerobic exercise. Ask your health care provider about an exercise prescription. Start slowly to avoid injury. Exercise helps raise hdl levels, improve circulation, decrease body fat, and tone muscles? don't smoke? maintain a normal weight? have your cholesterol levels and weight checked by your health care provider.

Dear Lybrateuser, -Right side chest pain could be due to acidity, lung or problem in lining of lung tissue -do not get anxious as it is not related to heart -modify your food habits, have meals on time, do not skip meals, chew your food well, have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals -avoid spicy, fried, junk food, also restrict tea, coffee intake to 1-2 cups per day, avoid alcohol, tobacco if you consume -do yoga & deep breathing exercises for 10-15 min in the morning -consult a doctor to find exact cause & do investigations. -

Some anti hypertensive medicines also cause diminished libido and erection problems as also anxiety issues. Need is to remain tension less by yoga, practice of pranayam and meditation and walks and good diet. Herbal support is useful if above tips are not able to show results in a month. If at all you need herbal support, pl do not take from fly by night operators posing to sell khandani ayurveda products. Otherwise you may be at loss. You may consult any ayurveda consultant near you. General treatment is for 7 weeks. Saptadhatuvardhak herbs are the answer.

Slower Heartbeat - Know The Reasons Behind It!

MBBS, MD , DM Cardiology

Slower Heartbeat - Know The Reasons Behind It!

Having bradycardia implies that your heart beats very slowly. For the vast majority, a heart beats from sixty to hundred pulses a minute while very few are viewed as ordinary. In case your heart beats under sixty times each minute, it is slower than usual. A moderate heart rate can be ordinary and solid. On the other hand it could be an indication of an issue with the heart's electrical framework.

For a few people, moderate heart rate does not create any issues. It can be an indication of being exceptionally fit. Sound youthful grown-ups and sports persons frequently have heart rates of fewer than sixty beats a minute. In other individuals, bradycardia is an indication of an issue with the heart's electrical framework. It implies that the heart's regular pacemaker isn't working right or that the electrical pathways of the heart are disturbed.

A moderate heart rate may make you:

  1. Feel blurry eyed or woozy.
  2. Feel short of breath and feel that it’s harder to work out.
  3. Feel tired.
  4. Have neck pain or an inclination that your heart is beating or rippling (palpitations).
  5. Feel bewildered or experience difficulty concentrating.
  6. Black out, if a moderate heart rate causes a drop in pulse.

A few people do not have side effects, or their indications are mild to the point that they think they are quite recently part of getting more seasoned. You can discover how quick your heart is beating by checking your heart rate. In case your pulse is moderate or uneven, talk to a specialist.

How bradycardia is dealt with depends on what is causing it. Treatment likewise relies on symptoms. Given below are some of the symptoms:

  1. In case harm to the heart's electrical framework causes your heart to pulsate too quickly, you will presumably need a pacemaker. A pacemaker is a gadget put under your skin that revises the moderate heart rate. Some people might have a kind of bradycardia that requires a pacemaker.
  2. In case another medical issue, for example, hypothyroidism or an electrolyte irregularity, is bringing about a moderate heart rate, treating that issue may cure the bradycardia.
  3. In case a medicine is making your heart to pulsate too gradually, your specialist may change the dosage or recommend an alternate drug. In case you can't quit taking that medicine, you may require a pacemaker.

Bradycardia is frequently the aftereffect of another heart condition, so finding a way to carry on with a heart-solid way of life will enhance your general health. This may include:

  1. Showing at least a bit of restraint and dedication to a good diet routine that includes a considerable amount of organic products, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and low-fat or nonfat dairy foods.
  2. Being gradually on most, if not all, days of the week. Your specialist can let you know what type of exercise is okay for you.
  3. Getting more fit in case you have to, and maintaining a solid weight.
  4. Not smoking.
  5. Overseeing other medical issues, for example, hypertension or elevated cholesterol.

How do I take cure with my blood pressure problem ? Which gets low many of times.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels.
