A burning sensation is a particular type of pain distinct from dull, stabbing, or aching pains. A burning kind of pain is often related to nerves, but there are many other potential causes. Injuries, natural wear and tear, infections, and autoimmune disorders all have the potential to cause nerve damage and pain. Carpal tunnel syndrome also causes pain and burning that travels up your arm.

My wife is 65 years old from past 5 /6 months had pain in her both knees ,doctors has suggested total knee replacement, doctors has told that she varicose vein disease also. Hello Lybrate user As you asked about your wife's problems related to knee joints pain. It is due to dryness of synovial fluid which create movement. Not need to replacement of knee. She may follow some Ayurveda medicines as given below. 1 / Lakshadi Guggul. .2tabs Singhnad Guggulu .2tabs Arogyavardhini vati .1 tab twice daily with warm water after meals. 2 / Dhanwantaram KUZUMPU oil massage over effected knee joints and janu basti every day for 10-20 days. Most leg pain results from wear and tear, overuse, or injuries in joints or bones or in muscles, ligaments, tendons or other soft tissues. Leg pain can also be caused by blood clots, varicose veins or poor circulation. To relieve mild pain: stay off your leg as much as possible apply an ice pack or bag of frozen peas to the affected area for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day elevate your leg whenever you sit or lie down please go to a physiotherapist if: you have pain during or after walking you have swelling in both legs your pain gets worse your symptoms don't improve after a few days of home treatment you have painful varicose veins leg pain happens when your muscles are tired or dehydrated. Drink more water if you're prone to leg cramps. Also low blood levels of either calcium or magnesium directly cause cramps. Pleas check you calcium and magnesium levels.

Pain in right knee. Sir/Mam, I have moderate pain in my right knee only, but while bending there is cracking sound in both knees. During cold weather right knee's pain slightly increases and also it feels some inflammatory inside. I consulted a orthopedic doctor and he advised me to have x ray. And then advised me drugs (osteoma PLUS, ECOTOX, RABIKEM DSR, AND DICEF TAB) each 30 tablets for 30 days. But after taking all these medicines I don't feel any improvement. I asked another doctor who advised me to have CALCIUM 500 mg VITAMIN D3 500 iu tablets for couple of months and do some light exercise. please suggest me what should I do? My age is 26 years, weight 60 kgs, No one in my family has this problem, No injury or accident happened. BUT AS I LIVE ALONE AND GENERALLY HAVE FOOD IN HOTEL, SO THERE IS IRREGULARITIES IN MEAL AND ALSO DON'T GET PROPER DIET. (for last 10 years)

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi, get an x-ray of your wrist joint done. Medication: meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - arnica 200 and rhus tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply schwabe's topi-arnica and topi mp gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter. **********physiotherapy will also help you a lot along with these medicines**************

I am 27 years old. I am having chest pain at left side with pain in left hand and shoulder, neck. Also heavy head, head sensation, and headache with shaking in whole body with mild breathing problem from last 2 months. Also feeling heart beat (dhak- dhak) in whole body specially in stomach. if all reports are normal it may due to gastritis...you can do tests ECHO. Start with easily digested foods such as gelatin, crackers and toast. When you can keep these down, try cereal, rice, fruit, and salty or high-protein, high-carbohydrate foods. Avoid fatty or spicy foods. Wait to eat solid foods until about six hours after the last time you vomited

Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Standing calf stretch Stand away from a wall and.put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day. Downward dog yoga stretch Get down on all fours with your hands under your shoulders on the floor. Walk your hands forward slightly on the floor. Spread your fingers apart to allow for a broad base of support. Push your hips up toward the ceiling and tighten your abdominal muscles. Keep your heels on the ground and gently try and straighten your knees. Repeat 10 times a twice a day. Wall calf stretch Stand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

. Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Some test may be required like cervical xray, diabetes, calcium, vitamin d etc. But first it will be good if you visit orthopaedic or physiotherapist personally for clinical examination. Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. From few days I was having a problem while folding my legs in the knee of my left leg, was not able to fold it for more then 1 minute and so yesterday I applied voveran gel on my knee and slept. Today I am able to fold my legs properly but feeling something different as if the part of my leg below knee and above knee is different and cz of this I am not able to walk with my left leg properly. Pls see a rheumatologist. One needs detailed history regarding involvement of other joints, swelling of joint, family history and other associated features to rule out arthritis. It is not possible without seeing patient in person.
