Hi lybrate-user, your post does not give enough information to come to a conclusion. Since you are saying oily skin you probably are having pimples. Cut down on oily food items and chocolates to prevent breakouts. Drink plenty of water. Visiting/ consulting a dermatologist would help in understanding your problem better as we have many good medicines for the same.

Hi lybrate-user as per height and weight your BMI (body mass index) is 22.5. It means that you are healthy now. Reacquired BMI for females is 18.5 to 24.9 for healthy category. You can gain upto 67 kg. But I think so no needs to do anything. For a healthy skin take min 2 lt of water/day will purify your skin, avoid junk foods, cut down your salt, take proper diet. And I would recommend you 2 face packs for instant fairness. 1. Take 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder and make a paste by adding rosewater in it. Apply it on your face, leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, and then, rinse with cold water. Then apply a skin moisturiser. OR Take 2 tablespoons of gram flour. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of milk in it. Apply it on your skin and let it. After 15-20 minutes wash of with lukewarm water. If you wants to know more contact me again.

Hello Firstly start taking a full nutritious diet . A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A good diet must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health. And what ever we are eating that reflects on our body and skin. 1. Homoeopathic medicine for fair skin is Berberis Aquafolium mother tincture.take 5 drops of it mix with water , twice a day. 2. Apply this tincture in diluted form on your face with cotton once a day . 3. wash your face with besan and curd , mix a pinch of turmeric also. 5. Apply rose water to your face at night. 6. Apply cucumber juice+ lemon juice+ tomato juice on your face. 7.Apply Multani mitti pack on the face, wash it off after it dries.

My face so oily and some what dark and I want to become handsome please do you prescribe any thing.

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD
Dermatologist, Ahmedabad
Hello, skin tone has nothing to do with looking handsome. You are tall and weigh good according to the details provided. Tone your body by lifting weights or playing sports or jogging, work on your personality rather than trying to whiten your skin. Oily skin can be controlled by washing your face with oil control face wash, several times a day (you may use a facial soap), and do not use oil on your head or do not moisturise your skin, keep it dry as much as possible. Wipe the oil off whenever skin feels oily. Read books, interact well, take care of your skin, be happy, be positive, make a nice and healthy routine. You will naturally look handsome with all these in your life.

Dear patient, Hair fall / baldness and grey hairs are because of lack of beta carotene. Now it's not too late for you to get right treatment. Now You need to take HairRoot Active Hair oil with hair strengthening homeopathic medicines to control grey hairs and check hair fall quickly. Having seen the natural remedies that can reverse graying of hair and that can increase growth of black hair, lets see the change in habits that can help you ensure that you don't get grey hair anytime in the future either. 1. Quit Smoking The major reason for growth of hair fall & grey hair prematurely is that the body starts to age prematurely. Smoking is a bad lifestyle choice and causes the body to age before time. The habit leads not only to grey hair but also to a wide variety of complications in life and therefore, quitting it remains integral. 2. Avoid Junk Food, Coffee and Alcohol Coffee, alcohol and junk food all are devitalizing and excessive usage of these items usually leads to premature aging. As a consequence, you start to look older than normal and your jet black hair start to turn grey. So, if you?re serious about preventing hair fall & grey hair growth then you would have to avoid junk food, coffee and alcohol as much as possible. 3. Ease Stress As already mentioned in the causes, too much stress can cause hair fall & premature grey hair. People who work consistently under pressure, stress and tension should try yoga and other relaxing techniques so as to avoid premature aging and graying of hair & hair fall. 4. Exercise A healthy and fit body works naturally to keep everything in shape. Exercising regularly can keep you fit and healthy and can improve blood flow to your scalp as well. This results in better hair growth and in prevention of graying of hair as well. 5. Keep a Healthy Diet A healthy diet ensures that your body gets all the nutrients it needs to function properly. A proper diet so as to prevent grey hair & hair fall should incorporate food items that are rich in minerals and vitamin A along with iron. Yogurt and cereals are rich in these nutrients while green vegetables and yellow fruits are equally great sources too. Such a diet aided with regular water intake usually ensures that you don?t get premature grey hair. 6. Take Supplements Another measure which can help with preventing grey hair & hair fall & white hair is the use of such supplements which are rich in the 8 B complex vitamins. You can either buy a multivitamin that comes with all of the B complex family vitamins or you can get a pill that has all the B complex vitamins for this purpose. However, if you think that such supplements would be out of your range then you should go after a product that has Vitamin B5 as deficiency of Vitamin B5 is one of the major reasons for premature graying of hair & hair fall. Your hair needs a high protein well-rounded diet. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hair and nails are both protein fibers. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hairgrowth and repair I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications.

I hope this message finds you in good health. To prevent hair fall, you can follow some simple steps as listed below: 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home). 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yougurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain pH balance of your hair. 9. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in vitamin C like amla and oranges. 10. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush out toxins from the body.

I am losing my hair I have used different types of shampoos their is no use so I need help.

Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9 hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! medication: take homoeopathic medicines - schwabe's wiesbaden 200 & alfalfa tonic twice a day for 3 months. Use schwabe's arnica shampoo and hair growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use bakson's arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Beside this, you can take one tablet of multivitamin folli hair once daily for 3 months. Get back to me for further advice.

Essential fatty acids are specific fats that are critical to the proper function of your body. Your body is not able to produce these fatty acids on its own, so it is necessary that you eat foods containing them. Essential fatty acids from walnuts, flaxseeds, fish and avocado are great foods to eat for healthy hair.

Silica may not be a word you commonly hear associated with diet (or foods that prevent hair loss, for that matter). If you’re looking to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss, however, silica will need to be on your menu. The body uses silica to help it absorb vitamins and minerals; if you’re not consuming silica, eating your vitamins might not be helping much. Silica can be found in bean sprouts and the skin of cucumbers, red and green peppers, and potatoes. Remember, when you eat these foods raw, as opposed to cooked, you’re getting more nutritional value out of them. If you want to keep it, you’d be wise to eat foods that prevent hair loss.

Please take fluoric acid 30 - twice daily for next 2 weeks. Apply jaborandi hair oil. Also use arnica shampoo. Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. Add more vitamin rich food to your diet. Avoid stress and anger by meditation. Cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. Take sound/good sleep. Avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight/ hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends. Continue treatment.
