I am suffering with teeth pain & please suggest me the best paste to clean up pluck in my mouth.?

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist, Jamshedpur
Hi pain can be due to some conditions like cavities, tooth abcess, gum disease, and fracture of tooth. You need to go for proper investigation to rule out the cause of pain. After that treatment plan can be decided. For plaque, get scaling done. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash.

Even after the RCT is complete, patients must visit their endodontists or dentists to get the proper restorative work completed on the tooth.

Reduce Pain After Orthodontic Treatment

To lessen the degree of pain or soreness in the mouth during the orthodontic treatment, you can gargle with 8 ounces of lukewarm water with one teaspoonful of salt dissolved in it. Swish it around your mouth and then spit it out. It will dull the pain and provide relief.

I have cavities between two teeth. Whenever I chew something the hollow gets filled with the food. It pains while removing. Please advise me to fix this problem. Should I replace both the teeth?

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
No need to get teeth replaced. Visit nearby dentist. If cavities are not deep then the problem can be solved with just filling of cavities with tooth colored composite materials in both adjacent teeth mostly.

Is it better to use two toothpaste in a day? (For eg: Colgate in morning & patanjali in night)

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Gorakhpur
It is not toothpaste but the technique you use to clean the teeth will impart good oral hygiene. For best results you can go for professional cleaning every 6 months, and for maintaining the the same brush twice daily using the right technique. You can use any toothpaste.

Taste and health at the same time - eating a piece of cheese after meals helps in pulling away some of the plaque from the mouth and also tiny leftover food particles. And since it contains calcium, it adds to bone health and teeth health too.

I'm suffering from mouth ulcers can you please give me tips to control this and I have so much heat in my body so this is happening every time.

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hello lybrate-user, take tablet folvite mb one tablet once a day and homeopathic borax 200 4 pills three times a day, you can apply orasep gel on the ulcer before having your meals as it will help in desensitizing the ulcer. The ulcer will reduce with the above course in a couple of days.

1. Bite firmly on the gauze pads covering each extraction site for atleast 30 min to help stop the bleeding.
2. Do not rinse vigorously, suck on straws, smoke, drink alcohol or brush teeth next to the extraction site for 48 hours.
3. Do not forget to take the medicines as prescribed by the doctor.
4. If possible chew on the opposite side of your extraction site. Drink lots of liquids and eat soft, nutritious foods. Strictly avoid hard, hot food & drinks for first 24 hours.
5. Avoid excessive mouth opening, yawning, spitting etc
6. If bleeding continues, call your dentist.
