Avoid deep fried &,fatty & spicy foods. Take plenty of liquids & a diet rich in green vegetables, salads & fresh fruits. Also make it a point to take small frequent meals. Strictly avoid junk food or unhygienic food. As far as any medication needed then you must consult your physician in person.

Coital pain is mostly due to dry vagina. And more you are terrified it will remain dry. A vicious cycle. Lubrication is a must before penetration. Give more time on foreplay. Once the vagina gets moist. That is the right time for penetration. Discuss this problem with your husband as he may not be aware of your pain. You can choose lubricant jelly from a pharmacy which will be helpful. Even saliva is a good choice. Sometimes vaginal pain occurs due to vaginal muscle spasm called Vaginismus. Doctors don't know exactly why vaginismus happens. It's usually linked to anxiety and fear of having sex. But it's unclear which came first, the vaginismus or the anxiety. Treatment Women with vaginismus can do exercises, in the privacy of their own home, to learn to control and relax the muscles around the vagina. The approach is called progressive desensitization, and the idea is to get comfortable with insertion. First, do Kegel exercises by squeezing the same muscles you use to stop the flow of urine when urinating. Squeeze the muscles. Hold for 2 seconds. Relax the muscles. Do about 20 Kegels at a time. You can do them as many times a day as you want to. Other medical problems like infections can also cause painful intercourse. Treatment will be done according to diagnosis.

Best exercises for knee pain dear you can do it, except where stated, do 10 to 12 repetitions of each of the following, 2 or 3 times a week. Partial squats e pain. Stand about 12 inches away from the front of a chair with your feet about hip-width apart and your toes forward. Bending at the hips, slowly lower yourself halfway down to the chair. Keside-lying leg lifts wearing ankle weights above the knee, lie on your left side, legs straight and together, with your left arm supporting your head. Keeping your right foot flexed and your body straight, slowly lift your right leg to about shoulder height, then slowly lower. Repeat with your left legep your abs tight, asusing an aerobic step bench or a staircase, step up onto the step with your right foot. Tap your left foot on the top of the step, and then lower. As you step up, your knee should be directly over your ankle. Repeat with your left foot. Tep-upsnd check that your knees stay behind your toes. Inner-thigh leg lifts wearing ankle weights above the knee, lie on your left side, slightly back on your butt. Bend your right leg and place it behind your left leg with your right foot flat on the floor and your left leg straight. Support your head with your left arm. Slowly lift your left leg about 3 to 5 inches, then lower. Repeat with your right leg straight-leg raises sit with your back against a wall, left leg straight and right leg bent with your foot flat on the floor. Slowly raise your left leg straight up about 12 inches off the floor. Hold, then slowly lower. Repeat with your right leg. More: 4 treats you can make with protein powder calf rais using a chair or wall for balance, stand with your feet about hip-width apart, toes straight ahead. Slowly lift your heels off the floor, rising up onto your toes. Hold, then slowly lower. Es I ho -water is the best way to keep yourself hydrated always carry a bottle of water and keep sipping on it at regular intervals - add an extra cup of fluid to your diet by sipping on green tea or herbal tea it instantly makes you brisk - if you the gym daily make sure to have sports drink. They contain electrolytes and 6 to 8 percent carbohydrates - avoid alcohol in summer as it is extremely dehydrating. Substitute fluids like milk juices tea and coffee instead - it is the season of tender coconuts and watermelons - after each trip to the restroom refuel with a glass of water - one of the first sign of dehydration is a dry mouth. Quick water breaks is a good way, you will fit & fine.

You may be suffering from typhoid 1. Take one tablet of crocin advance (500 mg) as and when required upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food 2. Cold sponging sos 3. Drink plenty of water 4. Take rest 5. If no relief do blood examination like esr, cbc, widal/ typhidot test, blood for mp/malaria antigen, dengue antigen (ns1) test, urine re/me, x ray chest after consulting physician and follow the advice and treatment.

Hello yes. Levels are low. Initially you have to start with injection or medications till levels normalize. Then with the healthy eating habits you have to maintain it. Sources of Vit D best is early morning sun rays .cod liver oil. Fish. Eggs. N some mushrooms. Fortified cereals n yoghurt. Tofu.etc.

Are you aware of the number of people who suffer because of pneumonia? As the weather becomes cold and damp, chances of getting affected by pneumonia increases. Pneumonia can originate from virus, bacteria and a host of other factors. It is one of the most common ailment which affects the adults, all over the world. Hence, it is important for all of us to prevent  ourselves from pneumonia and for that we can follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Know about the symptoms of pneumonia first: It is difficult to detect or diagnose pneumonia, especially in people over the age of 65. In older patients, the common symptoms such as fever, chills, cough may not be experienced. You should watch out for non-respiratory symptoms like weakness, dizziness, delirium and confusion. It is even more difficult to diagnose pneumonia in people who are suffering from preexisting conditions.
  2. Practice good hygiene: Common respiratory infections, influenza and cold may cause pneumonia. You should follow hygienic habits. Wash your hands regularly before meals and use hand sanitizers in order to prevent the illness from spreading. You should also maintain proper oral hygiene as several oral infections may also lead to pneumonia. You should also keep away from people who are affected by pneumonia or any other illness like flu, cold and serious diseases such as measles or chicken pox. All these factors may cause pneumonia.
  3. Get vaccinated: It is recommended for people of all ages who may be at a risk of getting pneumonia to get vaccinated and immunised against pneumonia causing virus called pneumococcal pneumonia. This is a one-time vaccine, which prevents and reduces the severity of pneumonia. A booster vaccine after every five years may also be prescribed. Elderly people should be vaccinated against all diseases which cause pneumonia.
  4. Quit smoking: Smoking accounts for being a major cause or risk factor for pneumonia. It increases a person’s chance of getting pneumonia as the lungs’ ability to defend themselves from the infection is reduced. By quitting smoking, you will be able to prevent pneumonia.
  5. Maintain a good general health: Maintaining an overall good health and following healthy habits will help you in preventing pneumonia. This is because your immune system stays strong and is able to fight efficiently against pneumonia-causing infections. A proper diet with all essential nutrients is also recommended along with regular physical exercise and proper rest.

Severe cases of pneumonia are capable of making you suffer and you may be admitted to a hospital. According to studies, it has been estimated that more than 60% of people over the age of 65 need to be hospitalised because of pneumonia.

Do not confuse these symptoms with masturbation, it does not cause them. Masturbation is a very healthy form of sexual outlet, do not feel guilty about it. Dear Doctor, My mother (60yrs) was recently started pain in the nose. With the MRI scan dr said it is Adenoid Hypertrophy. And they gave few medicines and a nasal spray. Now its increasing the pain. What is the adenoid hypertrophy? If it is the case, will it cause pain? What is the proper treatment?

Hello Santosh , Thank you for your question. Adenoid is a lymphoid tissue mass in the posterior part of our nose called nasopharynx. They are most active in young children between the age of 3 to 7 years. They usually get atrophied in adults. It is very rare to see enlarged adenoids in adults and old age individuals. When they are enlarged they will cause nasal obstruction , snoring , nasal discharge , ear blockage , facial pain ( not pain in the nose ). I suggest a nasal endoscopy to evaluate the cause of the pain in the nose and also a second ENT physicians opinion if possible.
