Hi Akshat. I would not suggest you to have sex at such as a young age as it can have severe mental and psychological impact later in life. However if you still do decide to go ahead, please follow safe sexual practice. Please use condoms at the least to prevent pregnancy.

Hi, as your son is in his" teens" which is very crucial time period for him, there are hormonal fluctuations which he is going through and at the same time, you do have to guide him properly so that he shouldn't get spoiled in bad company. The important point here is, you should have patience and a good communication with him, just break the ice and make friends with him so that he could able to confide in you and start sharing the things openly with you. But listen to him patiently even if he is going in wrong direction because building up that faith and confidence in you will let you hold his hand and take him in the right direction!

I am 18 years old. I am having problem of getting short tempered. Now what should I do?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
I am 18 years old. I am having problem of getting short tempered. Now what should I do?
Start by considering these 10 anger management tips. 1. Think before you speak In the heat of the moment, it's easy to say something you'll later regret. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying anything ? and allow others involved in the situation to do the same. 2. Once you're calm, express your anger As soon as you're thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but nonconfrontational way. State your concerns and needs clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control them. 3. Get some exercise Physical activity can help reduce stress that can cause you to become angry. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other enjoyable physical activities. 4. Take a timeout Timeouts aren't just for kids. Give yourself short breaks during times of the day that tend to be stressful. A few moments of quiet time might help you feel better prepared to handle what's ahead without getting irritated or angry. 5. Identify possible solutions Instead of focusing on what made you mad, work on resolving the issue at hand. Does your child's messy room drive you crazy? Close the door. Is your partner late for dinner every night? Schedule meals later in the evening ? or agree to eat on your own a few times a week. Remind yourself that anger won't fix anything and might only make it worse. 6. Stick with 'I' statements To avoid criticizing or placing blame ? which might only increase tension ? use "I" statements to describe the problem. Be respectful and specific. For example, say, "I'm upset that you left the table without offering to help with the dishes," instead of, "You never do any housework." 7. Don't hold a grudge Forgiveness is a powerful tool. If you allow anger and other negative feelings to crowd out positive feelings, you might find yourself swallowed up by your own bitterness or sense of injustice. But if you can forgive someone who angered you, you might both learn from the situation. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to behave exactly as you want at all times. 8. Use humor to release tension Lightening up can help diffuse tension. Use humor to help you face what's making you angry and, possibly, any unrealistic expectations you have for how things should go. Avoid sarcasm, though ? it can hurt feelings and make things worse. 9. Practice relaxation skills When your temper flares, put relaxation skills to work. Practice deep-breathing exercises, imagine a relaxing scene, or repeat a calming word or phrase, such as, "Take it easy." You might also listen to music, write in a journal or do a few yoga poses ? whatever it takes to encourage relaxation. 10. Know when to seek help Learning to control anger is a challenge for everyone at times. Consider seeking help for anger issues if your anger seems out of control, causes you to do things you regret or hurts those around you.

Viral infection is most common cause of diarrhea. It subsides by its own in 5-7 days. Only treatment is that give him home made soft bland diet like rice, khichdi, boiled potatoes, curd, tender coconut water etc along with plenty of water and ors. Keep watch on urine output and activity of baby. If looking lethargic consult paediatrician. But if stool is greenish, sticky or bloody then it should be checked in lab and if any pus cells, mucus, blood or parasites are found then only antibiotics should be given.

Paranoid Personality Disorder: Signs, Causes and Treatment

MBBS, MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Pune
Paranoid Personality Disorder: Signs, Causes and Treatment

There are a number of mental disorders and conditions that may affect the psyche of a person, due to various reasons including hormonal changes, environmental factors and even genetic conditions. Paranoid Personality Disorder is one such condition that gives rise to eccentric behavioral patterns. This may make the patient seem odd or even strange to others. Here are the signs, causes and various forms of treatment available for this condition.

Symptoms and Signs

Most of the patients suffering from this disorder are completely convinced that there is nothing wrong with their behavior and everyone around them are conniving against them with ulterior motives of bringing them down. This will make them highly suspicious individuals with intense trust issues. They also become angry and violent very soon and usually do not have a justified reason for such temper tantrums. These patients will also be detached and isolated socially, with hardly any friends and relationships. They will also have trouble seeing their own problems and flaws, which can keep them from having meaningful relationships.

Causes

The cause of this disorder is not known as yet. There is much ongoing research in this field. It is widely believed that this disorder is born due to a combination of biological factors and other environmental factors that may have conditioned the brain in a negative manner. Chemical and hormonal imbalances are known to be at the core of many such disorders. Also, it may be seen in people who come from a family of Schizophrenic patients. Trauma experienced during one's childhood can also lead to the onset of this disorder.

Treatment

One of the most effective forms of treatment for this disorder includes therapy. Talk therapy or CBT which is also known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a form of discussion based therapy that can help the patient in talking about his or her feelings. These are then analysed in a clinical setting with the intervention of a trained psychiatrist or psychologist who will help the patient in pointing out abnormal behavior. This kind of therapy also helps in reaching the root cause of the issue that may have caused this condition in the first place. By doing so, there is a better chance of treating this cause and thus changing the attitude of the patient. This will help in steering the patient towards more normal behavior in the long run. This kind of therapy will have to take place over a long period of time before the results begin to show up in the day to day living and functioning of the patient. Anti-depressants and anti psychotics may also be prescribed.
