My wife is 41 years of age having the problem of pain in the right breast area, during mammography it is found two small benign appearing calcific foci are seen in lower inner quadrant of right breast. On USG correlation it is found fibroglandular parenchyma is seen in both breasts with few small cystic areas in both breast 5.7x4.0 mm in right breast at 9 o clock. Few dilated ducts are seen in right breast at 6 o clock position. No obvious intra ductal solid component / echoes seen Impression Fibrocystic changes in both breasts. Dilated Ducts in right breast at 6 o clock BIRADS 3. I want to know the severity and complications as per report and what precautions we should take.

Oncologist, Mumbai
By the report it seems like she is having fibrocystic changes, which can lead to pain in the breasts and is usually benign. BIRADS 3 means suspicious lesion, but most probably benign. If the radiologist has given as BIRADS3 then we usually advise having an image guided biopsy done to rule out cancer before keeping Patient on observation. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further.

Actually problem is ...
Fungal infection or Ring worm. When occurs in groin, called as jock itch. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds. It's mostly circular or round in appearance. May be red or black in colour. Treatment depending on the type and severity. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it. As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment. So, please send photos of the affected area for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Types Of Birthmarks And Its Treatment!

Types Of Birthmarks And Its Treatment!

Birthmarks are dark spots/blemishes that are present at birth or appear soon after. Most of them are harmless and while some disappear with time, some don't. Birthmarks may cause a person to be conscious of their appearance and some types of marks may even pose health problems. You can opt for birthmark removal for cosmetic or health reasons.

Types of birthmarks

The two major types of birthmarks are vascular birthmarks, which are caused due to the incorrect formation of blood vessels; and pigmented birthmarks that are caused due to an overgrowth of pigmentation cells.

Common vascular birthmarks are 3 types:

- Haemangiomas: Bright red or bluish marks that may appear above or below the skin's surface.
- Port-wine stains: They are discolorations found mainly on the neck, face arms or legs, which look like wine was spilled on that area of the body.
- Macular stains: These are faint red marks often found on the forehead, eyelids, nape of the neck, nose or the upper lip.

Pigmented birthmarks are generally of 3 types- Cafe-au-lait spots, which are common coffee colored spots; Mongolian spots that are flat, bluish-gray patches on the lower back or buttocks; and moles that may be tan or black, flat or raised and may have hair growing out of them. Moles may develop into skin cancer.

So, in cases where a birthmark can be potentially fatal for your health, it's best to get it removed.

Here are the different ways you can choose from if you intend to get your birthmark removed.

1. Laser surgeryIt's a widely popular birthmark procedure, especially for port-wine stains. A yellow light laser, called flashlamp pumped a dye laser, is commonly used for treating and removing birthmarks in children. Haemangiomas are generally treated with a pulsed eye laser when they start to grow in size and become thicker than before.

2. Surgery - Surgical excision can help remove a birthmark and minimize the resulting scar. Mongolian birthmarks, port-wine stains, and haemangiomas can be treated with surgery.

3. Cryosurgery and Electrodessication - Cryosurgery is the application of extreme cold to the affected area to destroy the diseased tissue. Electrodessication refers to the destruction of tissues by dehydration induced by a high-frequency electric current.

Homoeopathic cream ANTIWRINKLE CREAM ( BAKSON) Apply in circular fashion twice a day 1. Avoid the sun and/or use a good sunscreen. Sun damage is well-known to wreak havoc upon the best of skin. All sun worshippers that do not take heed pay the price with lax, leathery skin before their time ~ not to mention the risk of many dangerous skin cancers. The sun screen should be o Broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays). o Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 30 or greater. o Water resistance o Preferably Homoeopathic SUNCARE SUNSCREEN ( BAKSON). 2. Drink plenty of water. Water is what nourishes our cells…it is present in EVERY cell in our bodies. But, many people do not drink enough of this elixir! And, without proper hydration, skin will appear dull and listless ~ lacking the elasticity that gives us our youthful appearance. What is the proper amount of water to drink per day? This is a controversial subject, but I recommend 9 cups for women and 12.5 cups for men. 3. Do not bathe in hot water since this has a harmful effect on the skin integrity, damaging it and drying it out. 4. Use a good moisturizer! Preferably Homoeopathic ROSE MOISTURISER ( SBL) 5. Partaking in regular exercise can improve skin elasticity. It is recommended to have 30 minutes of aerobic exercise to improve circulation for the skin. This gives the benefit of feeding the skin and removing any waste products more effectively. Hence, you will have a more youthful skin. 6. Proteins make up the matrix of our cells and thus are very important for good collagen and elasticity. Eat these top proteins for good elasticity: almonds, peanut butter, salmon, sardines and eggs. 7. Luten an antioxidant found in egg yolks, spinach, and other leafy greens may improve skin elasticity by almost 20%. Lutein is also found in topical face products. 8. Fish oil capsules taken on a daily basis can do much for skin elasticity. This is very important if you are on a diet or have already lost a lot of weight…fish oil is one of your best weapons to combat laxity and looseness of the skin. But, be sure to follow the dosage directions on the label (and consult a physician before taking anything) since the wrong dose may be harmful or dangerous in bleeding disorders (or other medical conditions). 9. Also, it’s important to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for good skin elasticity. And, of these ~ the best ones to eat are as follows: • Red Peppers • Oranges • Grapefruits • Strawberries • Broccoli • Carrots • Mango • Apricots • Sweet Potato • Avocados So, if you have lost elasticity due to poor habits or weight loss ~ the above list should give you a guide on how you may improve your skin starting TODAY. Or, if you are needing a preventative treatment against aging…these habits can take you down the road to a much happier, youthful skin! We don’t have to give in to mother nature, there are always variables we can manipulate to fight back against what our mothers and grandmothers had to endure ~ loose, sagging skin.

How could we apply the hydroquinone bases cream? Any precautions? Is I wash the face after the cream apply?
Such amounts as when not used for the purpose of bleaching the skin all over the face, neck and body, but instead when used moderately to reduce the appearance of blemishes such as age spots. ... Hydroquinone 2% products are allowed for sale currently in the US, as an ingredient in over the counter skin treatment products.
