I am fair colored overall but facially very dark. Any advice on what to do would be much appreciated.
Usually because of sun exposure, but if darkness is patchy on the face also and not uniform, then we need to evaluate internal or hormonal causes. Treatment of the cause will help both internal and external treatment may be required.

I am 25 years old, I have a anal fissures I have used medicines and i'm taking plenty of water and fiber food and lot of fruits, walking a day. Still why my stool is getting hard? Please suggest

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, FIAGES
General Surgeon, Gurgaon
Hi fissure can be painful and troublesome .it can lead to bleeding. Conservative measures which you have been doing like taking laxatives ,taking certain medications either allopathic or Ayurvedic and eating high-fibre diet will relieve your problem temporarily. definitely treatment for fissure is surgical management. Laser treatment for fissure is definite treatment .it is a 10 minute painless procedure, no dressing is required post surgery. Post surgery you will be on proper diet chart and certain pelvic floor exercises will be taught to you which will help you avoid constipation in long run .you can contact through Lybrate for further details.

Total Laparoscopic Hystrectomy

MBBS, MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology -
Gynaecologist, Gurgaon

Right up until recently, most gynecologists have shied from carrying out total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) due to the technical challenges and prolonged operating times which are related to it. Instead, they have preferred to do laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH), a comparatively inefficient three-part technique made up of a preliminary laparoscopic phase, then a vaginal phase, and, finally, another laparoscopic phase.

Now it is believed that it has the possibility being the method of choice for any great proportion of hysterectomy cases, specifically in those situations - for example once the pubic angle is narrow, the vagina small, or the uterus high and immobile - in which LAVH includes a reduced chance of success. Simultaneously, however, it is realized that wider adoption of TLH would depend about the growth and development of new tools to facilitate the colpotomy part of the operation, and on the development of a simplified technique that could reduce complications and operative time period.

Know More About Skin Pigmentation!

Know More About Skin Pigmentation!

Every woman desires flawless clear skin and perfect complexion. But factors such as free radicals, hormonal changes and sun exposure can damage your skin leading to patchy pigmentation and dark spots, making you look older. Pigmentation is basically the presence of dark (hyperpigmentation) or light (hypopigmentation) patches on the skin. It is a commonly observed concern. It is not life-threatening, but it can definitely give sleepless nights to those who desire a clear and even skin tone. Our skin has melanocytes. These are cells that produce pigment called melanin which gives skin its color. The number of melanocytes present in our skin determines our skin colour. Melanin apart from giving skin its colour, protects our skin from the damaging effects of sun radiation. The more our skin is exposed to sunrays, the more melanin is produced by melanocytes. This excess melanin is then deposited under the skin, which leads to skin tan, darker patches or pigmentation.
