Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part--knee. Control diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Do hot fomentation twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees or on your sides with a pillow between your knees. And get vit d levels checked. Go for regular walks follow 30-30 rule when at work. After every 30 min of work. Do 30 sec of stretching or stand and walk a bit.

Hi. I have gone through your question about back pain. I understand your concern. Severe back pain is debilitating especially in such a young age. You are tall guy. As per your height, you are underweight. Your work is mostly sitting and computer operations. Reason behind your problem is weakness of muscles, posture problem also contributes. You need to strengthen your back muscles. Posture modification is required. Some medicines will help.

Hi doctor, my problem is, I have pain in lower back which is neither strong nor less, I do have a sitting job for maximum hours, because of that if I walk for say half an hour I feel fluctuating numbness in my cloves area (right side), please can you suggest me tablet or cream so that I can get rid of this. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi I can understand your problem. 1) apply hot and cold foementation. 2) learn strengthening exercise of quadriceps and hamstring from physiotherapist. 3) do regular streching calf muscles. 4) wear comfortable foot wear. Do share investigation reports if you have.

Due to calcium deficiency I have been prescribed Shelcal 250 twice a day. This also gives me relief from my heel pains. Somebody recommended Intacal - D. Will it be beneficial for me or should I take it after consulting a doctor?

You should take acupressure therapy and take biochemic calc phos 200x 4 tab thrice a day with warm water and take it 5 days

My wife keep getting this muscle pain in her collar bone and on back of her neck for few months. We have consulted many doctors but nothing worked so far. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days doknee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Hi. Hope you keeping a check on your blood sugar level. Joint pain could be due to elevted uric acid level. Please get a serum uric acid test done. There are some simple exercises for knee pain. It would be advisable to consult a yoga teacher or a physiotherapist. If the pain becomes unbearable, you can take a pain killer.

Your problem is due to age factor so do ex for knee. Roll bath towel keep it under knee press him hold 5 to 10 sec repeat 20 times ulternate bend and straight. Hot pack use with ointment avoid cross leg prolonged standing walking etc.

Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.
