I am 52 years old active person and I have been regular walker/swimmer but not active from last 4 months. I am a moderate drinker and I hardly smoke. Recently I got my blood test done and my Hb1AC is 6, Fasting Sugar is 120 .I take regular banana shake and egg in the morning and there after I eat four meal. Kindly advice whether I should take medicine for diabetes and stop taking banana shake. Thanks.

Hello, Do not stop with the medicines. Replace banana shake with oats porridge and check. I do think banana shake can five you a problem, unless you add extra sugar to it.

Maintain proper hygiene, take filtered water only. No smoking, no alcohol if any. Avoid outside spicy and fried food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2 hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help chew your food properly at time of lunch and dinner. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy done. Tab nexpro-l 1 tab empty stomach.

Hi. I am 20 years I use to have vomiting in morning doc told me its due to acidity. After having my breakfast I use to have vomiting. Or after eating my lunch or dinner I fell like vomiting. I had all my test whether its chest lungs but nothing came out I am just having allergy. and sinus little bit. Few doc told me girls log ka vomiting sicological hota h we do not have the reason. But what should I do. I have to attend my classes I have to study. Please help. Because of me my parents are also upset. and me too. please suggest something to me.

It may gas-distention trouble due to indigestion. Have simple bland food (Khichadi) for next few days avoiding junk, oily, spicy fried and deep-fried food items. Drink lot of water. Add Jeera, Ajwain, Sonth in your food items – these herbs prevent gas formation. Reduce intake of tea – coffee. Instead you can have green tea. Do not lye-down or sit immediately after having meals. Have a walk instead. Maintain good bowel habits. Have more of Coconut Water, Gulkand etc to relieve acidity, Avoid too much of Cauliflower, Peas, Brinjals, Namkeens as snacks etc. Do regular walking and mild exercises. You may also do a weekly fast – just to relax and calm down your system. Fasting also helps in cleansing of the system.

Headache is only a symptom and its cause may be many. General causes of headache are hyperacidity, lack of sleep, eye sight weakness, migraine, stress anxiety depression, sinusitis, constipation and many more. So think ,what you you r suffering from? If you have recurrent attack of headache1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan of head to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist.
