What are the first aids proffered for migraine when it sees several times in a day time?

headache ,which is occuring several times in a day may not be migraine at all. typically migraine attacks are longer in duration ,lasts at least 2-4 hours but in some of my patients they lasted for 2-3 days. it is also affecting only one side of head, and most of my patients know beforehand that they are going to get an attack( aura). so, please get properly investigated for your headache starting from eye check up etc. and visit a good physician

Today morning I did some squat exercises bit after doing it I couldn't even walk properly today while walking today I fell down many times when I sat down I couldn't stand up on my foot for a long time I got two people to lift me up what may be the problem?

Yes parkinson's is more of a clinical than radiological diagnosis but still you need a mri to look for secondary causes of parkinsonism.

What is the advised test and dosage for vitamin d deficiency for treatment of sleep apnea.

Dear , first I would like to know who suggested to you that vitamin d is treatment for sleep apnea? sleep apnea can be either central sleep apnea or obstructive sleep apnea. Central sleep apnea is a very rare condition also known as ondine's curse in which the person loses his ability to breathe as soon as one falls asleep. Obstructive sleep apnea (osa) however is very common and is diagnosed as multiple episodes of short duration breathing cessation during sleep. Common manifestations are snoring, incomplete sensation of rest after sleep, excessive daytime sleepiness. Osa is multifactorial and needs to be diagnosed first with sleep studies and then treatment started. There may be some association with vitamin d deficiency as are almost all diseases nowadays. But vitamin d is definitely not a treatment for osa.

After vagus schwannoma surgery I almost lost my voice. And I got thyroplasty 1 to fix it but did not get any improvements even after one and half month of thyroplasty. Are there any chances for improvement in waiting or go for anything else.

Hello Sir, I'm 20 years old, I follow a proper diet plain and do some exercises. But it doesn't improve my fitness. My body is not growing in accordance to my age. I feel very tired, exhausted and my brain fails to work properly after my college hours. And after that I can't study at home, it wastes my time a lot and I feel disturbed and anxious. Hye. Thanks for the query. You cannot blame weight or energy levels on the thyroid. If there is a genetic tendency, you will gain it only if you do not take care of your health. In fact even if you don't have a genetic history poor lifestyle can make you prone to a thyroid gland imbalance. General weakness or feeling lethargic is a common problem faced by many. Basically, weakness is “lack of physical or muscle strength and the feeling that extra effort is needed to perform daily activities”. Weakness may leave you without energy to carry out day-to-day activities, drowsy or tired, sluggish, and uninterested. Other symptoms include excessive sweating, loss of appetite, difficulty concentrating, and difficulty falling asleep. You can feel weak due to lack of essential nutrients, not getting enough sleep, a weak immune system, excessive drinking, skipping meals, emotional stress, and too much physical labor. Persistent weakness can be caused by health problems like anemia, arthritis, hypothyroidism, a sleep disorder, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. In these cases, it is very important to find out the exact cause behind your weakness. Diet is the main source of energy for our body. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well. So, to feel energetic and refreshed in life, you must exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, maintain your ideal body weight, follow a good diet, sleep properly, drink water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated, avoid alcohol and stop smoking.

It requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

My fiance is having pain on the left side of her chest and shoulder. She has had it since Wednesday morning and his right arm has been slightly numb. The pain in his chest has gotten better but a lot worse in shoulder. He doesn't have money to go to the emergency room if he doesn't have to. He wasn't doing anything just woke up like that.

Spinal cord is a very important part of your body as it renders support to your body.  It also gives your body a good posture and thus maintaining a healthy spine is very essential. An unfit spinal cord can lead to various complicated problems.

The following are 5 must do exercises in order to maintain a healthy spine:

  1. Exercising your core muscles can help you to maintain a fit spine. Your core muscles refer to the muscles of your lower back and your abdominal muscles. These muscles give support to your spine. So exercising them can give you a healthy spine.
  2. Walking regularly can also give you a healthy spine. It is suitable for people of all age groups. Daily walking can help you to recover from various spinal illnesses as well such as spinal stenosis.
  3. Swimming is also a good exercise for maintaing a fit spinal cord. Swimming helps to exercise all back muscles and thus, gives you a healthy spinal cord.

There is no cure in Allopathy for migraine. The symptoms can only be alleviated with medicines. You can avoid triggering factors. To confirm the diagnosis investigations have to be done to rule out other serious pathological conditions. Alternative medicine may help you in controlling the disease.

Migraine cannot be cured completely. Avoid triggers. If certain foods or odors seem to have triggered your migraines in the past, avoid them. Reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake and avoid tobacco. In general, establish a daily routine with regular sleep patterns and regular meals. In addition, try to control stress. Exercise regularly. Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. If your doctor agrees, choose any aerobic exercise you enjoy, including walking, swimming and cycling. Warm up slowly, however, because sudden, intense exercise can cause headaches. Obesity is also thought to be a factor in migraine headaches, and regular exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight or lose weight.
