I am 50 years old, I have lower back pain ever since I was 10-12 years old, in the early stage I consulted doctors and they said that it will gradually reduce after marriage, but nothing like that happened and the pain was constently increasing. Today my pain is constant and I feel dizzy and start swetting if I stand at a place for more than 2-3 minutes. Normally I don't take any medicin, but if I feel that the pain is un bearable I take diclomax - 50 tablet, this happens once in abloom you can say 1 tablet per month, because I avoid taking pills I feel its better to bear the pain rathan than being adict to medicins. Can you suggest any other option rathar than medicin for relief of this pain, sometimes I use back ache belt while travelling anf while i am working in kitchen.

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls spine. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi. Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it.

I have pain in foot when walk. It is moderate for the time being. Generally when I wake up in morning, I feel major pain in foot. Later on after a hour or so, it get reduced and feel normal the day. However, pain become unbearable if I walk and roam around much such as a mall visit etc. Winter were comfortable while the same is back in summer. I got all body test done and got normal report. Please suggest.

There are several causes for pain in foot region, but you will have to tell me which part of the foot is involved whether it is toes, midfoot or around the heel region as there are different causes for all of them. I am 23 year old male. I was hearing some sound from my right leg knee while walking. What does that mean?

This is crepitus, not to bother, may use knee cap-should not be tight 1- dashang lepa 50 gm + alsi-flax seed 50 gm, prepare a powder, take 10 gm prepare a paste in glycerin and apply two times morning and evening on rt. Knee joint, keep for one hour and later clean 2- tablet sallaki plus 500 mg twice daily with n0 3 medicine 3- dashmool kwath 10 ml + maharasna kwath 10 ml twice daily after food 4- mahavishgarbha tail massage on painful joints twice in a day continue for 3 months, give feed back after every month.

I feel that my bone s are weak. My leg is paining for last few years often at night time especially. Im not able to walk long distance without leg pain. Always feeling tired.

Gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. These procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Regular oiling the joint will improve the lubrication also. This will greatly help. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking.

Hi, good posture plays pivotal role to cure back and neck pain. If you really want to cure permanently then check out your bad posture first. Do not do bending by back and neck continuously while working or sitting. Secondly go for hot water fomentation for 15 minutes twice a day and apply volitra gel in small quantity after fomentation. If still pain persist go for best physiotherapy near to your location. Hope it helps you lot.

Hi After night's sleep, while getting up from bed in the morning besides getting up from sofa/chair after sitting for an hour, I feel a pain and feeling of block for a while below the chest and upper abdomen. It vanishes once I get into routine.

I get lower back pain when I have exertion and feel very tired standing in one place. It gets healed after putting Vicks balm at night before sleep in a day or two. What I want to know is can it be a symptom of a future back problem and how I can avoid it.

Yes long standing and overstrain can harmful for your spine so avoid long standing and strain full activity. Take rest stand with equal balance on both legs. Heat fermentation twice a day and rest.

I am 22 and I am get lower back pain and therr is sound coming in my kney when ever I sit and get up on chair, and when I start to walk also I get pain( if I walk for 1/2 mile only it starts). When I asked to arvidic doc they said l5 and l6 as sleped. The treatment which he gave was 50/ relaxing. But now I am get pain again

For knee pain, please follow the below advise: avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area. Contrast fomentation (hot and cold). Wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory joint disease which has a genetic predisposition. It is a spondyloarthropathy mainly affecting spine and hips. There is as such no permanent cure but symptoms can be kept under control by changes in lifestyle making it as active as possible, taking anti-inflammatory medications as required, regular physical therapy etc. Please get x ray pelvis with both hips - ap view so that I can see and advise accordingly. Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. To start with, take Bryonia 200--once daily in the morning and evening for 6 days.
