Cerebral palsy is a non progressive disease which causes motor delays along with other symptoms which like low iq, disorder with sensory system etc. Till now there is no cure for the disease but with physiotherapy and occupational therapy a child can learn normal movement patterns which his brain might not know on its own and be able to perform it with practice. Its a gradual process and therapy would continue for a long time. Please start with the therapy as soon as possible.

3 Reasons to See a Pain Management Specialist for Bone and Joint Pain

3 Reasons to See a Pain Management Specialist for Bone and Joint Pain

When you experience any kind of bone and joint pain, you may be wondering what the best remedy might be to get relief. Some people ignore the pain, and it worsens, while others take over-the-counter medicines. However, the best remedy for bone and joint pain is to visit a pain management specialist. The field of pain management has evolved over the last twenty years. Nowadays, there are dedicated pain management specialists who are experts in treating bone and joint pain.

Here are 3 reasons to consult a pain management specialist for bone and joint pain:

  1. Pain management specialists are trained especially for understanding any kind of bone or joint pain. They undergo special training based on bone and joint pain management and thus know how best to recognize and treat such pains.
  2. Pain management specialists have a multidisciplinary approach towards treating bone and joint pain. The aim of pain management is to provide overall treatment and pain management specialists know about the best ways to take care of joint and bone pains. Pain management involves interventional procedures, psychological therapies, medication management and physical therapies. Pain management specialists also provide you with lifestyle modification remedies and assign you exercise schedules and diet plans. Alternative medicines like acupuncture and massage therapies are also provided by pain management specialists.
  3. Pain management specialists cooperate with you and come up with the best solution for your bone and joint pain. Pain is such an aspect, which has no fixed cure and the remedy varies from person to person and depends on the nature and severity of the pain. Thus everyone should receive a personalized treatment, which is most suitable to cure the pain that has occurred to them. Pain management specialists work with patients, discuss a lot and come up with the best treatment procedure, which would complement the patient. For example, a neurostimulation device can be prescribed to a patient who suffers from complex regional pain syndrome and did not have success with other treatment procedures. In many patients with a shattered spinal disc, pain management specialists prescribe injections, which work effectively to give relief and treat the condition.

A pain management specialist can make the best assessments on bone and joint pain. Being trained especially in bone and joint pain management, you can bank upon pain management specialists to receive the best treatment for your bone or joint pain.

When leg pain occurs after strenuous physical activity, you can simply apply cold compresses. This will help reduce the pain by numbing the affected area and control swelling and inflammation. Wrap a few ice cubes (or a bag of frozen peas) in a thin towel. Apply this pack on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes, while keeping the leg(s) elevated. Do this a few times a day. Note: Do not apply ice directly on the skin, as it may cause frostbite. 2. Massage -- Massage promotes faster recovery from muscle damage that causes leg pain. 10 minutes of massage therapy attenuates inflammatory signaling after exercise-induced muscle damage. In addition, massage improves blood circulation and helps relieve stress and anxiety. Rub some warm olive, coconut or mustard oil on the affected area. Using gentle yet firm strokes, massage your legs for about 10 minutes. Do this 2 or 3 times daily as needed. You can also use a self-massage device or apply pressure to sore muscles using a tennis ball.

Aching joints are among the most common health complaints, and they can happen for reasons too numerous to count. If you, like me, suffer from the occasional twinge in the knee or feel your elbows demanding some tlc after hours of slogging at the desk, I have some advice that will bring you relief. I have tried each one of these, and felt better each time. The good news is, these remedies require very little effort, and yield great results. Feast on carrots: did you know that carrots have been used for centuries in chinese medicine as an effective remedy for aching joints? simply grate a carrot in a bowl, and squeeze some lemon juice on it. Enjoy raw or steamed. Carrot nurtures the ligaments, bringing relief from pain. Munch on fenugreek seeds: my grandmother? s favorite remedy for joint ache. She would soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in clean water overnight. In the morning, she would drain off the water and munch on the seeds. They taste slightly bitter to begin with, then slowly and pleasantly sweeten as you chew. According to ancient indian healers, fenugreek is? warm? in nature, which makes it helpful in healing your joints. Drink more water: among the lesser-known benefits of drinking more water is that it softens cartilage and keeps it hydrated. Water helps you maintain an adequate blood volume so that nutrients can move through your blood and into your joints. It also moves waste away from your joints, making them less likely to ache aching joints are among the most common health complaints, and they can happen for reasons too numerous to count. Don't take stress, neck pain in your condition is due to poor posture at time of studies. It is nothing surgical. Proper ergonomic measures will relieve your neck pain and also prevent it. 1) Take rest for 1-2 days. 2) Simple analgesics like paracetamol or Ibuprofen to relieve pain 3) Application of ice pack helps in new onset neck pain. 4) Massage locally with analgesic cream 5) Perform neck stretches and muscle strengthening exercises once pain is decreased. 6) Follow good posture habits to avoid further increase in neck pain. Proper ergonomic measures to be taken while studying: 1. Study in a well lit area with good lighting. 2. Use a chair with proper back support. If needed a small back support pillow can be placed behind. 3. Feet should rest flat on floor. Knees and thighs should be on same level when seated on chair. 4. Elbows and forearm should rest on arm rest of chair. 5. Book should be at comfortable reading distance so that slouching of shoulder or bending of neck is avoided. 6. Every hour between studies take a break and walk, perform back and limb muscle stretches.Focus eyes on distant objects during breaks. Consult your doctor immediately in following cases: 1) Neck pain is persistent and progressive 2) Neck pain associated with tingling or numbness in hands or shoulder. Consult again for further queries.
