Hi Dr, Is it normal to have some pain around my penis after masturbation or nightfall. Is the pain due to weakness?

Hi Dr, Is it normal to have some pain around my penis after masturbation or nightfall. Is the pain due to weakness?
Hi lybrate-user, masturbation does cause increased blood supply and congestion in the region including penis and the prostate and this prostatic congestion might present with more prostatic secretions and pain in the penis. The pain referred to the tip of the penis is usually from the prostatic site. I do not think you need to worry. All you should do is take it little easy with masturbation till you settle down completely. Consume lots of fluids, wait and watch. If your problem persists even after this conservative management or gets aggravated, then it may be worth having a consultation with a doctor. Homeopathy medicines will help you to get rid of the pain. Take care.

If one cup of green tea is to be made then how much of green tea would we take. Cud a pregnant woman take green tea as many green tea selling brand does not show if their products contain caffeine or not as it cud bring miscarriages. please enlighten me.

The potency of green tea varies from brand to brand, as does the potential for toxicity from excessive use. An overdose of green tea can lead to liver damage and other unpleasant side effects. To maximize the health benefits of green tea safely, the ummc recommends drinking 2 to 3 cups daily, giving you 240 to 320 milligrams of polyphenols. If you take green tea extract supplements, 100 to 750 milligrams per day is recommended. Opt for caffeine-free products when possible. Because few studies have been done on green tea's effects on children and pregnant women, it is safest not to give it to them.

ADHD in Adults

Concentration problems and trouble in focusing on one task at a time can be termed as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD, in rare and severe cases. While most of the cases are identified in one's childhood, it has been seen that many cases persist into adulthood while still others go completely undiagnosed. This mental health disorder comes with a number of symptoms and management methods. Read on to know more.

  • Symptoms: While many patients suffering from this disorder may not display any obvious symptoms at a young age as children are supposed to be brimming with energy, the symptoms for adult ADHD, start to show up in a more obvious fashion. Wavering concentration and low levels of focus along with disorganised living with impulsiveness are the first signs of adult ADHD. Such adults also have trouble when it comes to finishing one task at a time, or even focusing on a task for a prolonged period of time. Bouts of impatience and excessive activity can also show up as symptoms, while restlessness is a quality that most of these patients seem to possess.
  • Diagnosis: The diagnosis of this condition is slightly difficult because most adults may complain of some or the other symptoms related to this condition at some point in their lives. Anxiety and mood swing related symptoms can help in diagnosing the condition in a better manner. If the condition ends up disrupting your normal life, work, socialising and behaviour in general, then you may want to see a doctor regarding the same, so that proper diagnosis may take place.
  • Causes: While genetic predisposition is said to be the foremost cause of this condition, especially when it continues well into adulthood, there are various environmental factors that may also have a significant bearing on the onset of the condition. Exposure as a child increases the risk of falling prey to this condition. Also, when there are problems with the central nervous system during the developing years, the patient may start to develop symptoms connected with this disorder later on.
  • Treatment: Stimulants and other medication like anti-depressants, nonstimulant amphetamine are also used for treating this condition along with therapy and psychological counselling for better organisation in life.

I am masturbating daily. Is it good for health? What is the correct period of time between two masturbations?

BHMS
Homeopath, Murshidabad
I am masturbating daily. Is it good for health? What is the correct period of time between two masturbations?
Dear lybrate user, sperm cells are being continuously produced inside human testis. A single sperm cell needs about 4 months to mature before being ejaculated. Masturbating ejaculates many mature as well as immature sperm & results in the temporary deficit of sperm count. This loss of sperm results in the increased production of sperm. A sperm is mainly made up of protein. An increased production of sperm count needs a steady supply of protein. This supply of protein is met from the amount of protein we intake daily. Over masturbation increases the rate of production of sperm to such extent that the demand for protein cannot be fulfilled naturally & it often results in breakdown of protein from muscle tissues. This breakdown of muscle tissues is externally manifested as fatigue, weakness etc. Addiction to masturbation denotes that you are continuously indulged in sexual thoughts. This type of thoughts is common in people who live a sedentary life. If you really have a sedentary life-style you should get yourself out from it immediately. Socialize yourself. Do some physical exercise daily. Drink a lots of water. Create a routine of your daily schedule & maintain it. Stop watching porn in case you have developed a habit of watching it also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture origanum q, 10 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. This medicine will help to control your excessive sexual desire. However, you can masturbate for twice in a week. In order to minimise the after-effects of over-masturbation you can take homoeopathic cinchona officinalis 30 or china 30, 5 drops, thrice daily in empty stomach. This medicine will help to fight the seminal debility caused by the sexual exertion created by over-masturbation.

Does kesar (saffron) lower blood sugar level in type 2 diabetes. I have been taking saffron for while now and notice that I am frequently having low blood sugar level. I am type 2 diabetes and on insulin for last three years. Reason why I went on insulin is that I had kidney transplant 3.5 years back and I am taking steroid continuously for last 3.5 years. Till now my sugar was never in control.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Main reason for your blood glucose not being control appears to be the steroids that you are taking. As steroids are known a diabetogenic. Secondly whether safron reduces glucose or not is not well known. You wil have to carefully adjust insulin dosage as well as food intake for maintaining expected blood glucose levels. Thanks.
