medicines are far more effective than JPMR. JPMR works for very very mild anxiety . For moderate to severe anxiety medications are the treatment protocol . Finally you make the choice whether to suffer to get relieved. All the best

I was trying to get off paroxetine after 4.5 years of use. After facing some withdrawal symptoms, my psychiatrist gave me Placida, one tablet to be broken in half for 10 days and report back. I did some self checking and it seems that the combination of the medicine is banned in India. Also, it seems that this is used for Schizophrenia. I am really scared if my condition has detoriated to psychosis. Should I take the medicine? Is the medicine used for treatment of depression or ocd? Thank you.

MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Chennai
No, it is used for anxiety and the combination is a good one for anxiety and your psychiatrist has rightly prescribed. It gets frequently banned and ban lifted, due to reasons of combining and not dangers. It is a very good. All the best.

Ativan is not a good tab for the same. A panic attack is a sudden episode of intense fear that triggers severe physical reactions when there is no real danger or apparent cause. Panic attacks can be very frightening. When panic attacks occur, you might think you're losing control, having a heart attack or even dying. Many people have just one or two panic attacks in their lifetimes, and the problem goes away, perhaps when a stressful situation ends. But if you've had recurrent, unexpected panic attacks and spent long periods in constant fear of another attack, you may have a condition called panic disorder. Although panic attacks themselves aren't life-threatening, they can be frightening and significantly affect your quality of life. But treatment can be very effective. Consult a Psychiatrist and get remedy. All the best for you.

Yes it is normal value only, if in doubt double check with another good lab. I have seen wrong results with poor quality labs, but when done from a different lab showing high values in those consuming alcohol.

Both are the same, different pharma use different names. They have the advantage of getting dissolved so that they cannot be spitted out as in case of some medications needed to treat psychosis. For some medications they enhance absorption as well, so there are advantages with them. You can take them and gurgle with water or swallow too, as they will dissolve on the way in the digestive tract.

bipolar disorder is a life long disorder, episodes can come many times a year or once in many years. Mood stabilisers should be taken as per psychiatrist's advise and shouldn't be stopped on own. Relapse is very difficult to treat.

It is a weak antidepressant, the drug may not produce suicidal thoughts, but for suicidal thoughts there are better medications. Better consult a psychiatrist and get proper treatment. All the best.
