The chances of pregnancy are very less. Still do a urine pregnancy test (preganews test). Unwanted 72 is a hormonal pill and it can cause hormonal imbalance which could be the reason for bleeding on 15 th november and now delayed periods. You are advised to use some reliable method of contraception if your wife doesn't want to conceive now.

It may take time for conception, try during fertile period of your wife i. E. From 8th day of periods. Try for 2-3 months naturally, if not able to conceive then go for tests required for infertility.

Hello, you had your withdrawal bleed post ipill intake on 18th, ruling out any pregnancy. However delay in cycle presently is a known side effect of ipill. Please wait for another week for menses to resume if pregnancy has already been ruled out by a urine pregnancy test.

How can I fit myself after delivery a baby.
Kindly guide me properly for better health.
The most important exercises in the first few days after birth are your pelvic floor exercises. Start doing them as soon as you can. Strengthening your pelvic floor will help to protect you against having accidental urine leaks. Although sex is probably the last thing on your mind now, doing your pelvic floor exercises helps to tone your vagina. When you're ready for sex again, you may enjoy it more if you've firmed up your pelvic floor. Try to build your pelvic floor exercises into your daily life, continuing the exercises you did while you were pregnant. It'll benefit you in the long term, and through any further pregnancies. If you struggled to remember your exercises during pregnancy, try not to worry, as it's never too late to start. Pelvic floor exercises will help your perineum and vagina to heal more quickly. That's because the exercises improve circulation to the area, helping to reduce swelling and bruising. If you have stitches, exercising your pelvic floor won't put any strain on them. In the first few days or weeks, it's normal to feel as if nothing is happening when you do your pelvic floor exercises. Keep going, as the feeling in your pelvic floor will return and it will be working even if you can't feel it. In the meantime, your perineum or pelvic floor may feel uncomfortable, swollen or very heavy. As soon as you feel up to it, try to get out and about, ideally walking while pushing your baby in his pram. Start with short walks of about 10 minutes, building to 20 minutes. Take water with you, especially if you're breastfeeding, so you don't get thirsty.

Early Signs of Pregnancy

Early Signs of Pregnancy
Early Signs of Pregnancy

Every woman is different. So are her experiences of pregnancy. Not every woman has the same symptoms or even the same symptoms from one pregnancy to the next.

1. Fatigue - If you're suddenly exhausted, it might be a response to the increasing hormones in your body. Don't treat fatigue with excessive caffeine if there is a chance you may be pregnant.

2. Sensitivity to certain Smells – Certain pleasant or unpleasant smells can make you nauseous. If you're repulsed by certain smells, or have an increased sensitivity to odors.

3. Nausea and Vomiting – This is due to rising hormones levels in early pregnancy

4. Breast Tenderness – Tender and heavy-feeling breasts, darkening of the areolas and even more pronounced veins on your chest can be a first sign that you're pregnant. Get a well fitted bra to ease the discomfort

5. Frequent Urination – In early pregnancy the uterus grows and pushes on the bladder, triggering the urge to urinate more often.

6. Shortness of Breath - This is because you need extra oxygen due to the growing embryo

7. Spotting and Cramping – This is due to implantation of the fertilized egg to wall of the uterus. Is it PMS or pregnancy? It's hard to tell, but if you're feeling crampy, it might be your uterus stretching to get ready for a baby.

8. Mood swings- These are also related to changes in hormones

9. Constipation - The higher levels of the hormone progesterone can make you constipated. You swear you fit in your skinny jeans just last week. If you're feeling a little puffy or backed up, it might be extra progesterone due to pregnancy, which slows down your digestive system.

10. Late Period
Many of the early signs of pregnancy are also symptoms of PMS. How to tell the difference? The most telling clue yet will be a missed period. If your cycle is fairly regular and you're late, you should head to the drugstore for pregnancy test kit or a gynecologist
A pregnant woman could have all of these or maybe have only one or two. If any of these symptoms become bothersome, then visit your Gynecologist and Obstetrician for consultation.

While taking duphaston, menses can come scany. As she bled for 2 days it looks like menses only but still possibility of pregnancy can not be ruled out, it can be implantation bleeding also. So after 7 days if her proper menses do not start, then you should get urine pregnancy test done.

I am getting white discharge with light bleeding after 3 days of my due date. Am I pregnant.

I am getting white discharge with light bleeding after 3 days of my due date. Am I pregnant.
Hi, thank you for your question. The only way to know if you are pregnant is to do a urine pregnancy test with an early morning sample of your urine. If your period is delayed by 7 days or more it is reasonable to do a pregnancy test. Since it is only 3 days it is ok if you wait for a few more days to see if your period comes. It is very common for periods to vary in duration length and frequency throughout your reproductive life. If your discharge is smelly or stains your underwear or causes itching or burning it may be an infection that you need to get checked out. Often when there is an infection you can get a discharge as well as unscheduled bleeding. If in doubt it is better to get examined and treated. The best doctor for this is your regular gynaecologist. Alternatively a doctor specialising in skin and dvd can also help to treat an infection that you may be concerned about. Best wishes.

Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Gwalior
Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)

Polycystic ovarian disease is a gynaecological disorder whose prevalence seems to have increased considerably among Indian women in last few years. Many young girls and middle-aged Indian women are suffering from this syndrome which is a marked by appearance of multiple cysts on ovaries and disturbances in monthly menstrual cycles.

Causes

The exact cause of PCOD remains unknown to the modern science even as the genetic link is being scrutinized for its causative role.

Symptoms

Ayurvedic PCOD Treatment

From Ayurvedic point of view, PCOD reflects vitiation of rasa and rakta dhatus. When levels of impurities and toxins increase in rasa and rakta dhatus, body stores them in form of cysts around ovaries. So presence of multiple cysts indicate high levels of impurities and toxins in these dhatus. Sign and symptoms in PCOD patients suggest imbalance of all three doshas. Dhatwagnimandya may also exist in some patients. History of improper diet and lifestyle is generally found among majority of PCOD patients. Excessive consumption of hormonal pills and contraceptive pills too is reported by many patients. Mental stress and lack of physical exercise are marked among quite a few ladies with PCOD. From Ayurvedic perspectives, all these things can produce toxins in body and cause diseases like PCOD.

Diet & Lifestyle Advice

  • Low-fat milk is recommended. Boil milk before drinking. Drink it warm. This makes it easier to digest. Do not take milk with a full meal or with sour or salty foods. Add a pinch of turmeric or ginger to the milk before boiling it. This helps to reduce the kapha increasing qualities of the milk.

  • Lighter fruits, such as apples, oranges, grape fruit, pineapple and papaya and pears, are recommended.

  • Sweeteners: Honey is excellent for reducing kapha. Reduce the intake of sugar products, which increase kapha.

  • Beans are recommended. Nuts should be avoided.

  • Grains such as barley, chickpea and millet are recommended. Do not take too much wheat or rice, as they increase kapha.

  • Spices are recommended only in moderate quantities.

  • Vegetables such as potaotoes and sweet potatoes should be avoided as they can cause weight gain.

  • Follow a lifestyle that will not aggravate any dosha.

  • Negative feelings like stress and tension should be avoided. Do not undertake physical or mental work beyond your capacity.

  • Limit the use of contraceptives.

  • Follow an active lifestyle, yet the exercises should be according to one's capacity. Both, excessive fasting and overeating are harmful.

  • Smoking, drinking alcohol and using narcotics aggravates menstrual disorders.

I feel very weak and morning sickness everyday when I wake up early in the morning. What should I do?

I am presuming you have a positive pregnancy test. These symptoms are very common in the first three months of pregnancy. Please get a complete blood count done to see you are not anaemic. Take folic acid supplements daily. You can take tab doxinate - 2 tab at night time and 1 tab twice daily before food to see if it helps. Also have lots of water /fluids like juices/ lassi to keep yourself well hydrated. The symptoms usually settle as pregnancy advances.
