Hi doctors: my daughter's age is 10 years and she is having type-1 diabetes from last two years. She is completely on external insulin four times a day. Is this disease is curable? if yes then what is the solution. Kindly guide me.

At the moment there is no cure. If you can afford put her on insulin pump. At least she will be relieved of pricks and diabetes will be controlled more effectively. In future there is hope on stem cell therapy, results uptill now are encouraging.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. A person with diabetes can definitely eat curds, it provides some proteins and also a probiotic. Whether it helps control blood glucose or not I am not sure. SInce it does not contain carbs, unlikely to raise blood glucose. As regards IME 9 tablets, a lot of unsubstantiated claims are made about those. There are no properly done (double blind, cross over) clinical studies supporting various claims being made. Still if one wants to use those, as an additional treatment then it is OK. Do not stop modern drugs and switch over to those. Thanks.

Mam, srry to say, your hydroalpinx, is causing infertility, let me tell you bit clear IVF. Is the way you get conception, but untreated hydrosalpinx have lower conception rates than controls and it has been speculated that the tubal fluid that enters the endometrial cavity alters the local environment or affects the embryo in a detrimental way. Thus, many specialists advocate that prior to an IVF attempt, the hydrosalpinx should be removed. Lower abdominal pain, may be PID.

Hi, Blood sugar may fluctuate for many reasons like food, activity etc. Please make sure that your test was done accurately and do a test again after a week. Consult a doctor before making any conclusion, it can be a technical glitch in your report. But if your blood sugar is high don't leave it unattended. Please note that most of the people are diagnosed with diabetes when blood test is done for some other diseases. Diabetes may not show any evident symptoms for a long time but will be putting extra load on vital organs like kidneys, liver etc. It is always better to prevent diseases than curing them later.

Yes, you can still eat bananas  even if you have diabetes.Bananas are a good source of fiber, potassium, and vitamin C, but they do contain carbohydrates. In fact, all fruit has some carbohydrate, so you need to count them in your diabetes meal plan. A homeopathic constitutional treatment will give you best results You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

The +2.50 power that you have is normal for your age. It is called presbyopia and it is due to the notmal weakening of the ciliary muscles which occur with age. No special precautions need be taken as regards to eye, except of course good diabetic control and yearly reguler checkups

Hi Persistent very high blood sugar values may need short intensive insulin therapy. Bring the blood sugars under good control with insulin and then put them back on oral medications. You must understand that diabetes is a progressive disease and all patients require insulin at some point in life to control diabetes when multiple oral medications do not help.
