keep your face dry, wash 4-5 time a day, apply retino-a cream at night and wash your face before sun rise as sun rays can darken your face. Apply freshly squeezed lemon juice to your lips and massage them gently. Follow this ritual every night before bed. Sugar scrub: Sugar works as an excellent scrub to exfoliate lips and also helps get rid of unwanted dead skin. Take three spoons of sugar and mix it with two spoons of butter to make a thick paste

Hello lybrate-user drink plenty of water avoid the following: junk food/fast food milk products chocolates ice cream avoid picking or squeezing your pimples, they'll leave behind pigmentation and scaring. For pimples here is your treatment plan: 1. Clindapene gel night time only 2. Benzac gel 2.5% morning only 3. Tab. Doxy 100mg twice daily after food 4. Tab. Rantac 150mg twice daily before food 5. Use acnoff soap / acnil soap to wash your face before applying the gels. Both the gels have to be applied over full face. All medicines for minimum 1 month after the pimples subside (for acne marks) kindly use 1. Ahaglow face wash twice daily 2. Kojivit cream twice daily after using the face wash over those darker areas @night only 3. Photostable lotion full face in the morning after washing with face wash. Take care.

Hello, white patches on your skin are a common type of depigmented skin lesion associated with an infection, allergy, or autoimmune disorder. One common cause of white spots, or hypopigmentation, is a fungal infection of the skin known as tinea versicolor (associated with other symptoms, such as itching or dryness on or around the white patches). This fungal infection is not contagious and can be treated easily with over-the-counter medications. Please tell me other symptoms like about sensation on the area, since how long do you have this patch, any family history of white patch, etc. In the mean time you can take cal phos 6x, 4 tabs twice daily. Do send me a clear photo of the affected area.

Hi sir I am 20 years old. In my face lot of blackheads since 4years. What can I do for that?

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda, Gulbarga
Also referred to as open comedones, blackheads are small yellow or black bumps that form when a clog develops in the opening of hair follicles due to a combination of excess sebum and build-up of dirt and dead skin cells the combination of oatmeal and yogurt is great for keeping your skin free of blackheads. 1. Mix one teaspoon honey and the juice of four tomatoes in sufficient oatmeal to make a paste. 2. Scrub it on your skin. 3. Wash it off after 10 minutes. 4. Repeat regularly for clear skin. You can also make a paste by mixing together two tablespoons of oatmeal, three tablespoons of plain yogurt, and small amounts of lemon juice and olive oil. Apply the paste to your entire face, leave for a few minutes and then rinse your face with water any querries inform me.

I am so dark in color I want to get fairer and beautiful what should I do to be fairer.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I am so dark in color I want to get fairer and beautiful what should I do to be fairer.
Everyone has a favourite face cream or treatment, but beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Older cells are constantly shed and replaced by younger ones and a steady supply of micronutrients is essential to support this rapid growth. Eat the correct balance of foods and you'll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish. HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT AUCARE COMPLEXION DROPS ( WOLFE DIETRI) Drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily. WHITENING CREAM ( BIOVALLEY)Apply in circular fashion in morning nd at night WHITENING SOAP ( BIOVALLEY ) Wassh face with this face wash before applying whitening cream SUNCARE CREAM ( BAKSON ) Apply 30 minutes before going outsside nd again reapply after 3-4 hrss after washing with whitening soap

Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy for Hair Growth

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Dermatologist, Delhi
Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy for Hair Growth

Hair loss is a prime concern for many men and women these days – whether it is genetic, due to stress, bad haircare or any medical condition. But with advances in the field and adequate research, various new techniques have cropped up in the market which can combat the condition with ease. Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP, is showing impressive results in reversing hair loss.

Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a non-surgical and non-invasive technique of treating loss of hair and promoting hair growth in both the sexes. The procedure involves extracting one’s blood and putting the same in a centrifugal machine in order to separate the blood from the plasma containing platelets. The science behind this technique is that the platelets contained in the plasma regenerate and heal the tissues. The plasma is then either injected or massaged onto the scalp post a derma-roller treatment on the affected areas.

The advantages of PRP include:

  1. It is a very simple procedure, and also non-surgical
  2. Cost-effective
  3. The procedure doesn’t last long; for about 90 minutes
  4. Yields safe and reliable results
  5. Faster recovery time
  6. The end result looks quite natural

Eligibility For PRP

People suffering from thinning hair and male pattern baldness can opt for PRP therapy. However, if one has lost all his/her hair, he/she would not be able to undergo PRP. This therapy can only help thicken the presently thinning hair by strengthening the hair follicles; remember that it cannot produce new hair.

Expected Outcomes

PRP warrants multiple sittings, but one usually notices hair growth from approximately the fourth session onwards. As mentioned, it strengthens weak hair follicles and boosts hair growth. The PRP procedure is safe and has no side effects. You might feel uncomfortable, or even scared, since the procedure involves needles and drawing blood, but before starting the procedure, a numbing cream will be used. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist and ask a free question.

Dandruff is the generalised term used for scaling. But there are various other disorders involved in it like psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, pityriasis amentecia etc. It is important to check the scalp so as to diagnose the problem. Oil the scalp 3/week and wash it 3/week. Drink 3 lit of water which will keep you hydrated and dryness of scalp skin will reduce. Eat food which is rich in proteins and iron. Consult trichologist.

Hello. My name is Sarah Ratnani. I am getting dark circles very much. Can you please suggest something.

Hello. My name is Sarah Ratnani. I am getting dark circles very much. Can you please suggest something.
Take healthy balanced diet including whole grains, green leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts. Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily. Take a sound sleep of 8 hours minimum. Apply bakson's under eye cream on the dark circles. Apply Ramdev's aloe vera gel on the whole face at night. Home remedy:-1.Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties that help fix those raccoon eyes naturally. Plus, they have a soothing and refreshing effect. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the slices onto the affected skin area for about 10 minutes. Wash the area with water. Repeat twice daily for about a week or more. Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture on the affected skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water. Follow this remedy daily for at least one week. 2.Raw Potato:-There are natural bleaching agents present in potato that can help lighten dark circles and get rid of puffiness around the eyes. Grate one or two raw potatoes to extract the juice. Soak a cotton ball in the juice and place it over your closed eyes. Make sure the juice covers the dark circles under your eyes as well as the eyelids. Allow the juice to sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse your eyelids well with cool water. Repeat once or twice daily for a few weeks. Instead of potato juice, you can also use thick potato slices to remove dark circles. 3.Tomato:-Tomatoes have bleaching properties that can lighten skin to a great extent.Mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with one-half teaspoon of lemon juice. Gently apply this mixture on the dark circles and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with water. Follow this remedy twice a day for a few weeks. Simply using tomato juice will also work. You can also drink a glass of tomato juice with some mint leaves, lemon juice and salt. For maximum results, be sure to drink this juice immediately after making it. Drink it once or twice a day for about a week. :- Rose water Rose water has incredible ingredient for skin care. It rejuvenates the skin and has a soothing effect on tired eyes. Due to its mild astringent properties, it also works as a good skin toner. * Soak cotton eye pads in pure rose water for a few minutes. *Put the soaked pads on your closed eyelids. *Leave them on for about 15 minutes. *Follow this remedy twice daily for a few weeks.

I have inner thigh rashes eczema till one year and still it is as it as how to treat please help me.
You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and genital area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please consult me in private chat with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.
