Please expose your body in bright sunlight for at least 30 minutes daily Do morning exercises daily Too much AC exposure will lead to rheumatism. Take Mag phos 6x - 4 tabs thrice daily for some time Take a glass of milk daily.

When walking on the road a stone hit my head because of speeding car and on the right side of my head above my right ear it started bleeding. Bleeding stopped same day. The bruise is not big. Now its dried but my head keeps hurting. Should I need to do a scan or mri.

If you had not had any fainting episode during the hit and no fits after that then scan is not indicated. Probably the pain is due to bruise. See a neurologist if complains persist.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Not Getting Relief From Foot Pain: Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome Could Be The Cause!

Senior Registrar/ Research Associate, MS - Orthopaedics, MBBS, MCh. Orthopedics

Not Getting Relief From Foot Pain: Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome Could Be The Cause!
  • Tarsal Tunnel Syndrom is a painful condition of the foot caused by pressure on the posterior tibial nerve. This nerve passes along a passage called the tarsal tunnel just below the bony bit on the foot.
  • Symptoms include pain which is often described as a burning pain radiating into the arch of the foot, heel and the toes. Pins and needles or numbness may be felt in the sole of the foot. Pain may be worse when running or standing for long periods of time and often worse at night. Sometimes it is initially mistaken for plantar fascitis which also causes pain from the inside heel and throughout the arch of the foot.

I am 26 year old male and have left shoulder pain very badly. So please any relif this pain?

I am 26 year old male and have left shoulder pain very badly. So please any relif this pain?
No 1: Rotator Cuff Isometrics Ok, I'm cheating here with my No 1 exercise as it's really three exercises, but the simple, basic isometric exercise is too often over looked and under used. This is a shame as I find it very effective in reducing a lot of shoulder pains in many people that it rightly deserves my No 1 spot despite them being perceived as boring and simplistic nature. Although recently they are gaining some popularity and credibility again. Isometric exercises for those non therapists reading, is when a muscle/tendon is asked to contract but there is no movement of the joint and so no change in the length of the muscle/tendon, just like when you flex your pecs and biceps in the mirror after a shower… No! just me that does that then, ok moving on…! In my clinic I see a lot of people with acute shoulder pains brought on usually after an increase in activity, sport or training and most I beleive have a reactive cuff tendinopathy. Most of these shoulders have quite high pain levels for the first few weeks and we know that isometrics are great for reducing pain (source) and they do produce some significant forces and tension in the cuff, so can be thought of beginning the needed loading program. There are lots of variations and I don't think it matters too much how you do them, it's more important how hard and how much you do them, more on this in a bit. The isometric exercises I usually give are a'Back of the hand Wall Press' used when I suspect a more superior cuff tendinopathy, it's done simply by standing next to a wall and pressing the back of the hand into the wall in the scapular plane (called Scaption) at approx 30° of abduction.

According to the MRI done on my spine, it is noticed the L4 vertebrae has shifted outwards resulting in the immediate upper and lower vertebrae collapsing towards each other pressing on the transverse nerves which result in the calves and back of the thighs becoming caught and painful. With the result walking and standing is very difficult and painful. There is no pain in the lower or upper back. Sitting is comfortable and I can drive my car without any discomfort or pain.

Dear sir, your problem is called spondylolisthesis. Can use lumbar support belt and do back extension exercises. If radiation of pain is severe you may need surgery. Because of your age, better to wait and see. Regards.

Hand Pain This might be due to lack of blood circulation in the hands and we suggest to do contrast bath therapy ie. Immersing in cold/hot water in the interval of 3-5 minutes which will help you reduce the pain.
