Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets, carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad vegetables like cucumber, kakri, onion, tomato etc. Include green tea 4-5 times a day. Drink plenty of water. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Thank you.

You have something called as computer vision syndrome. So take frequent breaks while you are working every 20-25 mins take break to look away from screen blink more frequently' level of screen should be below the level of eyes ac should not blow directly on your face. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle power.

Maintaining a right posture is a serious health business so much so that a bad posture can ultimately result in serious morbidity. Right posture doesn't simply mean sitting up straight. Posture refers to the alignment of spine with all its adjoining structures. Younger population is falling prey to bone and joint ailments because of wrong posture. No amount of exercise or therapy can undo 16 hours of bad posture a day. It is important to be mindful throughout the life. Researchers says, a person with good posture maintaining proper alignment through all sitting standing and lying positions. Falling to correct bad posture has significant implications for the skeletal system and leads to osteoarthritis. And hence people should be educated not only on correct posture but also an ergonomic principles at home and place of work.

Respected Doctors, Namaskar. I had, after long deliberation, gone for a psychological consultation to an experienced female psychologist. I told her about my problem basically involving my in-laws and my wife. She listened and told me that she needs to talk to my wife also and that she will find if there was anything wrong on my part. I was surprised because there is/was nothing wrong on my part. My brothers in-law did not care for my opinion and always had their way, which my wife never questioned at the cost of my self respect. One of my brothers-in-law also betrayed me on several occasions for which also I did not have any support from my wife. On the next visit, the Dr. Spoke to my wife separately and then called me also. As I was going through severe tension because of the attitude of BIL and my wife I started telling about this. The Dr. Snubbed me and said if I told her about this she will lose her piece of mind. Then I was really scared and did not say anything. My question is if the psychologist discourages me for telling her my top most problem, what should I make of this or what is the use of consulting. So, because of this I am unable to think of going to that psychologist or any other Dr. That Dr. Also seemed to support my wife only. I have stopped talking to my brothers in law, who were interfering in my life. My wife never thought that her brothers attitude is wrong, which is affecting me adversely. Kindly advise me.

Hi lybrate-user, it's very unfortunate that you are going through this problem in your life. When it comes to family, some things are beyond our capacity to fix. But that doesn't have to be the end of hope. I really appreciate how you have distanced yourself from your brother in law whom you do not like. Sometimes it is important to distance yourself from the problem to look at the bigger picture as the solutions comes easy in this way. Remember the only person you can control if you. Avoid catering to anyone’s need to be “right” (including yours). Let others do what they want to, don't react or respond in a way that you don't like. I would request you to take care of your health in terms of diet and exercise. Distance your self mentally not physically (not suggesting you leave your family) from situations you do not like and the solution will come to you.

Mild pain in right testicle and lower abdomen from past one year some time it increases wen I had sex and pain almost right part of the lower body. I got diagnosed and report says that Der are small stones in both the kidneys and also shows Dat varicocele in left testicles. But my question is Der any oder problem for the pain? Dark circles are due to lack of eye rest continuous use of laptop or moniters, genetical, improper sleep, increased vascularity around eye odd time duties take eye rest for a minimum of 8 hrs, use black googles to cover eyes when travelling in day time, take intermittent breaks who r working on laptops and monitors, avoid rubbing of eyes, don't apply any cosmetics to eye, use medication specially made for eyes.

CHOOSE SWEETNESS THE HEALTHY WAY.
Do you have a sweet tooth or a craving for sweets or just can't avoid sweets and sugar but want to give that habit up?
Well, you don't have to give up sweetness. Just get it from other sources. Try fresh berries or pureed fruit on the cereal instead of sugar. Explore fruit that's dried, frozen, or canned (without too much added sugar). A glass of low-fat milk or low-sugar yogurt can help. Avoid frozen yoghurt and fruit puree can replace an ice-cream or elaichi and pudina in tea can help you reduce the sugar you add in tea or how about trying a banana or custard apple sheera.

At your age this claim is serious. If you have depression then there are some major ramifications to take into account. I believe there may be some genetic predisposition r there has been some childhood issue that needs urgent attention. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved. As regards the concentration you are sure to have hormonal imbalances which may impact your memory because of the chemical but also the distractions that come with it; together with depression I can imagine your problems. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling.

The diet advised very correctly. For medicines, if there r joint pains then only medicines required otherwise dietary measures will suffice. If joint pains r there then take Febutaz/Feburic 40mg at bed time 1 tab for 3 months and recheck uric acid level after that and decide to continue the medicine or not depending upon the results.
