Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Hello lybrate user as due to long period of bending neck might be the pain has increased you can do hot spanging over it is there any swelling over it and do it for a week and reduce your timing for laptop but if it still persist go to an orthopaedics for further management.

Considering your age and profession you might be suffering from facet joint arthritis. Facet joints connect vertebrae in our spine. With age these joints can get degeneration. I am 32 year old female, I have suffered back pain for last 2 months, here I have to inform you in my residence cell tower is there below 100 mtrs, it was any problem from cell towers.

Stiffness in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. I do not think that cell towers can cause it.

Hamstring Stretch Lie on your back with your left leg flat on the floor. Loop a towel or rope around your right foot and pull your leg as far as comfortable toward your chest, while keeping a slight bend at the knee. Keep your back pressed to the floor throughout the stretch. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds and then release. Repeat 3 or 4 times with each leg. Do this stretch 5 or 6 times a week. Short-Arc Knee Extensions In the same starting position as the straight-leg raises, put a ball (about the size of a basketball) under your left knee so that your leg is bent. Slowly straighten your leg. Hold, then slowly lower. Repeat with your right leg. Exercises To Avoid A few of the following exercises can be done safely if you have chronic knee problems; they're on this list because they're more likely to be done improperly. The exercises above are safer, while still giving you similar results. •Full-arc knee extensions •Lunges •Deep squats •Hurdler's stretches.

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

You can use thin pillow so that normal position of neck can be maintained while sleeping Do not stop using pillow and do not use thick pillow

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive less traumatic safe surgery. No other option except to reconstruct if your acl is a complete tear.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc or it can be a radiating pain from your lower back region. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. You should take rhus tox 200 thrice a day three drops in water for two dats and call back. Also do massage with sesame oil around the knee daily at night.

Hi lybrate-user. Headache is pain in any region of the head. Headaches may occur on one or both sides of the head, be isolated to a certain location, radiate across the head from one point, or have a viselike quality. A headache may appear as a sharp pain, a throbbing sensation or a dull ache. Headaches can develop gradually or suddenly, and may last from less than an hour to several days. If You give through a description of the condition, the type of pain and the timing and pattern of attacks and food habits. It can be helpful for us to give appropriate medication. Here by I am advicing few General medication which helps to relieve headache. Medication:-According to ayurveda based on individuals prakruti i, e body constitution, age, diet and life styles. In classics different modalities of treatment has been mentioned like shodhana (Panchakarma-detoxification procedure of the body), Shamana (internal medicine). Ayurvedic therapies (panchakarma) for migraine: 1. Shirolepa – Application of herbal pastes which pacify Pitta Dosha like Sandalwood, camphor, Jatamansi. 2. Shiro Dhara – pouring of thin stream of liquid over scalp. 3. Shiro basti-Retaining the medicated oils over the leather cap fitted over the scalp. Any vata-pitta pacifying oils are beneficial for this purpose. 4. Sneha nasya – Instillation of medicated oils can be carried to the nostrils. Shamana (Internal medication):- 1. Pathyadi khada-10 ml with warm water twice a day after food. 2. Tab Niargim-1 tab twice a day after food. 3. Tab Kamaduga with mouktik-1 tab twice a day before food. Tips:- 1. Do not take pain mitigating medicines frequently. Over intake of pain medicines may cause rebound headache and may eventually increase the frequency of migraines. 2. Make sure to sleep and eat at regular intervals. 3. Make sure to sleep at least 7 hours at night. 4. Avoid fasting. It will increase both Pitta and Vata dosha, worsening migraines. Do not skip meals. 5. Quit smoking and get rid of alcoholic addiction 6. Do not drink strong coffee / tea. Make it light. 7. Do not take too hot water bath or too cold water bath. 8. Avoid spicy n fermented food.

During an acute attack sleep with a pillow under the knees. Choose shoes that offer good support in the arch and have low, but not flat, heels. Prop up one foot on a box or low stool when you're standing for a long time. Use a chair that provides support for your back, or tuck a little pillow behind your lower back. Tips to improve balance/alignment/motion: lift your leg so your thigh is parallel to the ground while touching a wall. Hold it for five breaths. For alignment, move side to side while sitting on a balance ball. For motion, try moving forward and backward on the ball.

Hello. Try to maintain errect posture while sitting 2. Take a break every 1hr and have a slight walk 3. Do some asanas like dhanurasana with instructors. 4. Apply some tailas like ksheerabala taila before bath to strength en your back bones and muscles.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful. Hello, Your mother may be suffering from Osteo-Arthritis, get an X-ray (knees) done to rule out. We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Medication: For the time being give her Schwabe's Biocombination-19/ thrice daily and apply Topi-MP gel over the knees. Daily intake of calcium (milk, milk products, green leafy vegetables) is mandatory for her as bones get weak at this time. Calcarea Phos. 6x/ thrice daily can also be given to her Apart from this, light walk daily and physiotherapy will also relieve your pain.
