I am 29 yr male, having kidney cysts. Please help me control the growth of cysts.

PGDHHM, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
I would suggest you to get your ultrasound done to see whether it is polycyclic or 1-2 cysts. Do you have any other problem eg diabetes, hypertension, urinary complaints. Get your cbc, urine routine, blood sugar fasting and pp, kft, sr electrolytes done and then consult a nephrologist for further management.

Hello, Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Damiaplant/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Management: Regular exercising keeps you fit and healthy, so don't forget to do it. Practice pranayam regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. Not to do these exercises within 4 hours after meals. One can have meals not within 15 minutes after finishing these exercises. These exercises are good for gaining and maintaining good health. Also, practice Pelvic floor exercise or Kegel exercise, consists of repeatedly contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor.

I am 20. I want to add 2 inches more to my height. I was smoking and stopped two months back because it doesn't support growth. And also I masturbate 4 times a month. I think masturbation doesn't effect is it? Some doctors in this app suggested me to take pills like baryta carb 30 and five phos 6x. Does it work? I do meditate, swim and also do stretching exercise daily. My growth has stopped 6 months back. Does doing those activities along with this help me out? Does the pills have negative effects also? Those pills effect my growth in negative manner? Can I grow with this 2 inches more? Please do ans me for every questions I have asked. And how many tablets do am I supposed to take and when and how much?

Masturbation is a healthy way of relieving sexual tension. It is normal, not harmful and it is not going to cause any marital problem. However it should be done in moderation, preferably 2-3 times a week. Don’t feel guilty about it

Hello, Some primary headaches can be triggered by lifestyle factors, including: Alcohol, particularly red wine Certain foods, such as processed meats that contain nitrates Changes in sleep or lack of sleep Poor posture Skipped meals Stress Insufficient sleep or rest Overexertion Nutritional deficiencies A secondary headache is a symptom of a disease that can activate the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. Any number of conditions — varying greatly in severity — may cause secondary headaches. Get your blood pressure checked, make a chart. High blood sugar makes you prone to infection. Unless you control it, infection will recur. Check urine routine to confirm. Check fasting and pp blood sugar. Change meds if needed.

Dear sir/madam, What is type-1 and type-2 diabetics. How can we identify that we are suffering from type-1 or type-2. Is there any symptoms to classify.

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is difficult to identify whether one has T1 or T2 diabetes by only symptoms. Following are the major differences in these two conditions. 1) T1 Diabetes: By and large T1 DM occurs at a much younger age including even in children & infants. In this condition there is no insulin production by the Beta cell of Islets of Langerhans in Pancreas. There are antibodies noticed against those cells. It is considered as an autoimmune diseae. These patients need Insulin for treatment and for survival. In India only 5 to 10% of total diabetic patients are suffering with T1 disease. Earlier it was called as Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus or early onset or Juvenile diabetes. 2) T2 DM: This is the commonest form seen. Over 90 to 95 % of all diabetic patients fall in this category. It occurs because of either deficient insulin production, or resistance to its action or due both. Obesity or over weight and inactivity are two major factors responsible in developing T2 DM. Plus it is a familial disease. If both parents are diabetic then 75% of children tend to get diabetes. Fortunately it is a preventable condition. If person maintains his weight near normal, exercises regularly and takes restricted and balanced diet then it can be postponed or prevented. Most often diabetes hardly produces any symptoms, hence many people fail to notice that they have the disease. Most common symptoms are excess urination, excess hunger and excess thirst, plus unexplained loss of weight and tiredness. There are many other forms of diabetes like gestational diabetes that develops during pregnancy, and others. Thanks.

I have white patches on skin is it due to virus or something else. Sometimes its itching. Please tell me.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
White spots on skin can occur due to a number of reasons, of which conditions can be mild or severe. The condition can be mild or severe, and generally covers the majority of the skin on a particular area of the body. They may also cause irritation or itching. The occurrence of whites on the face can be extremely distressing. People affected with this problem should obtain medical advice to diagnose what is causing the condition and the suitable treatment. Causes of White Spots White spots on the face occur for various reasons. Understanding some of these reasons may be beneficial in treating the condition. Furthermore, understanding the cause can also help people avoid certain circumstances that increase the risk. 1. Tinea Versicolor This is a chronic fungal infection of the skin. Also known as pityriasisversicolor, this fungus causes discolored patches on the skin as it interferes with the normal pigmentation. The color of the patches may be darker or lighter than the surrounding skin and most often, affects the back and trunk of adolescent males. Exposure to sunlight, hot, humid weather, oily skin and excessive sweating may aggravate the condition. 2. Vitiligo This is a skin condition that results in the loss of melanocyte pigmentation of the skin. This results in white patches that feel as if it is part of the skin. The cause of vitiligo is unclear although it is believed to be an autoimmune disease. However, mild trauma to any area of the skin including the face can also result in the development of vitiligo. Vitiligo can affect the face, hands and feet, elbows and genital area. 3. Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis White spots on the face may also be due to Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis, a skin condition resulting in 2 to 5 mm flat, white spots commonly found on the shins and forearms. This skin condition mostly affects fair skinned people, although it may occur in dark skinned individuals too. The white spots may occur more commonly in people over the age of 40. 4. Pityriasis Alba This skin condition is common in children aged 6 to 12. It is a rash that appears on the face, neck and arms, and is not easily differentiated between normal skin. The rash may be covered with skin flakes resembling light dust. The cause of Pityriasis Alba is not known and is often considered as a form of eczema. This condition is often mistaken with vitiligo. However, while vitiligo has a distinct border, Pityriasis Alba does not.
