Hi Ms. lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. Well, the exact cause of recurrent oral ulcer (s) though unknown, you can take the following steps in general to lessen the incidences of the same - (a) Maintain oral hygiene on a regular basis - keep your mouth clean and healthy. (b) You can reduce the risk of damage to your mouth by using good quality & soft toothbrushes and also by leveling off rough edges of teeth/ dentures, if any. Preferably, I would recommend use of 'Neem' toothpaste for brushing. (c) Eat a healthy and balanced diet rich in vitamins A, B, C and E. Include fresh fruit and green leafy vegetables to reduce the risks of oral cancer. (d) Take Green tea, up to 2 times daily. Stay well hydrated. (e) Avoid high calorie, greasy, fatty, oily foods including fast foods. Restrict consumption of sweets, carbonated drinks etc all. (f) Apart from diet, make sure you streamline your lifestyle too with daily exercises, de-stressing and relaxation. If you are habitually constipated, the above-mentioned shall help. (g) You can take a tablet of probiotics (like 'Sporlac DS' or 'Becelac forte' capsules) daily before food, subject to your dentist's concurrence. As an alternative, you may take once curd and buttermilk spiced up with a little bit of turmeric on a daily basis. (h) If the ulcer pains, you can apply a pain relieving gel (as advised by your dentist), locally. Do gargle / rinse your mouth with Betadine gargle (not to be swallowed) 2 to 3 times daily, after food. Alternately, you can also use warm saline water for gargling. (i) Should the ulcer pain, you can apply (topically) a layer of fresh and pasteurized honey (good quality) on the ulcer (s). You may also slowly apply ice cubes for sometime to alleviate pain. (j) Last but not the least, regularly visit your dentist. If you see the ulcer not healing up for more than 3 weeks, do visit your dentist promptly, and get the same clinically examined. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best.

What is dengue? What are the symptoms of dengue and what are the precautions of dengue?

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
What is dengue? What are the symptoms of dengue and what are the precautions of dengue?
Symptoms include severe joint and muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes, headache, fever, exhaustion, and rash. The presence of fever, rash, and headache (the" dengue triad") is characteristic of dengue fever. Because dengue fever is caused by a virus, there is no specific medicine or antibiotic to treat it. For typical dengue fever, the treatment is directed toward relief of the symptoms (symptomatic treatment). The prevention of dengue fever requires control or eradication of the mosquitoes carrying the virus that causes dengue. There is currently no vaccine to prevent dengue fever.

Hi. Headache is pain in any region of the head. Headaches may occur on one or both sides of the head, be isolated to a certain location, radiate across the head from one point, or have a viselike quality. A headache may appear as a sharp pain, a throbbing sensation or a dull ache. Headaches can develop gradually or suddenly, and may last from less than an hour to several days. If You give through a description of the condition, the type of pain and the timing and pattern of attacks and food habits. It can be helpful for us to give appropriate medication. Here by I am advicing few General medication which helps to relieve headache. Medication:-According to ayurveda based on individuals prakruti i, e body constitution, age, diet and life styles. In classics different modalities of treatment has been mentioned like shodhana (Panchakarma-detoxification procedure of the body), Shamana (internal medicine). Ayurvedic therapies (panchakarma) for migraine: 1.Shirolepa – Application of herbal pastes which pacify Pitta Dosha like Sandalwood, camphor, Jatamansi. 2.Shiro Dhara – pouring of thin stream of liquid over scalp. 3.Shiro basti-Retaining the medicated oils over the leather cap fitted over the scalp. Any vata-pitta pacifying oils are beneficial for this purpose. 4.Sneha nasya – Instillation of medicated oils can be carried to the nostrils. Shamana (Internal medication):- 1.Pathyadi khada-10 ml with warm water twice a day after food. 2.Tab Niargim-1 tab twice a day after food. 3.Tab Kamaduga with mouktik-1 tab twice a day before food. Tips:- 1.Do not take pain mitigating medicines frequently. Over intake of pain medicines may cause rebound headache and may eventually increase the frequency of migraines. 2.Make sure to sleep and eat at regular intervals. 3.Make sure to sleep at least 7 hours at night. 4.Avoid fasting. It will increase both Pitta and Vata dosha, worsening migraines. Do not skip meals. 5.Quit smoking and get rid of alcoholic addiction 6.Do not drink strong coffee / tea. Fashion v/s Looks and Health

No matter what your age is, what your field is, what kind of a person you are, what your lifestyle is, the impact of your looks and health will never ever cease to affect your life.

You need to be in pace with of how you look, how you behave, how strong and healthy you are and how you balance between all of them.

When someone sees you for the first time then the first thing that captures their mind is the looks then they come to talk to you to get deeper to your personality, then they get to know you when you start working with them they get interacted with your behavior and your healthiness to execute tasks. So all the things are related and are sequential in real life.

The sequence of these things is universal and work for male as well as females irrespective of their ages. This reminds to look at the fact that with getting older in age it also keeps getting difficult to maintain the looks and health in good condition as per the body type and lifestyle.

However, we need to take of few things when we are dealing with the problem of aging. The first thing in aging that needs care is to look energetic, then to look glowing, not look pale or dull, have least of wrinkles, not to look older than your age if not young.

To have all these we need to opt for some remedies but before that lets make sure of one thing that we don’t let stress and worries take over our mind because they show up their impact clearly on our looks and health.

Now working on the remedies of aging do not mean to have those expensive ant-aging treatments every month and pouring all the money at the parlors.

However, we refer for simple home remedies along-with natural ingredients like lemon juice along with milk cream and egg white to be applied on face for around 15 minutes to get you rid of aging spots.

Now for glowing and moisturized skin apply coconut milk for 20 minutes. The fruit papaya is rich in vitamin A and can help in firming of skin by means of papaya skin.

In addition, rosewater, cucumber and curd pack can be helpful.

Above all, keep smiling because that will give you a good look and health at the same time.

I have a pimple problem I have use a many face skin tube but not result good so Can you please help me sir.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I have a pimple problem I have use a many face skin tube but not result good so Can you please help me sir.
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.
