Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Hamstring stretchingtowel hamstring stretch.

May be there are any deficiency as vitamin d, b12, calcium, so please consult orthopaedic Dr. Take food timely, 3 to 4 ltr water minimum. Regular walk.

Dear lybrate-user, well, you have planter fasciitis with calf cramps you can do stretching exercises and take plenty of water most probably you may respond but if not you can be cured with eswt.

Shoulder disclocation occurs when ball is twisted suddenly from its socket. It may be due to sudden force on joint either by injury or fall. Due to which surrounding muscles, ligaments, capsules also gets ruptured. So to restore to its normal position an orthosugeon is required. When it is restored then you need to take physio therapy for atleast 1 or 2 months to strengthen your muscles surrounding your joint and get complete rom and reduce pain. Initially we take care of your joint by giving mild exercises and ice packs then later approx after 10 days we start plan your treatment so that your joint becomes mobilize and you can work with no interruption. So advise you to contact nearby physio who will give you best treatment plan according to your degree of pain and severity. For any question please contact me. Good luck and get well soon.

Hello. It can be due to calcium deficiency. Improve your diet. Include whole milk and all dairy products in your diet. Take homoeopathic tonic:- alfa alfa syrup one spoon twice a day half an hr before meal. Take this for 15 days and update me for follow up.

I was operated for koch's spine with paraplegia (T8-T10) 6 months ago by a spine surgeon. Now I have slight movement in legs but still unable to lift my back up or sit on my own at least, urinary system is good. Can you suggest whether I should consult spine surgeon or Neurosurgeon for second opinion and also suggest me a good spine rehab Centre periphery to mumbai.

U need to take Physiotherapy Treatment for some weeks by a good Physiotherapist, when your muscles strengthened than your problem resolves slowly slowly. U have to do exercises as your physio sujjest. As you say slight movement starts than you can walk properly, but exercise should be in proper way. U can take 2nd &3rd opinion obviously. Good luck.

Dear lybrate-user, since when you got pain in leg it is to be studied, to reduce pain you can apply heat fermentation twice a day for a week, if still pain persists you need tens therapy and some muscle strengthening excercises.

*Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and relax. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. * Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning for 6 days.

If you are having heel pain you need to loose some weight. The condition is known as plantar fascitis, reducing wright can help you. There can be many other reasons, faulty biomechanics of knee/ankle joint/flat foot. It can be cured, you need to meet a physical therapist.

Hi apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any limb pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias ( electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs.
