Yesterday I jumped over 5 ft I injured I did MRI and the report is as below (1) complete anterior cruciate ligament tear at its femoral attachment with loss of normal alignment (2) medial meniscus tear with mild extrusion Spain of medial collateral ligament and moderate joint effusion (3) marrow contusion in posterior aspect of lateral plateau I am very worried what is the solution please tell me if the operation is needed or not.

Hi! Seems that you have injured yourself a lot. Ligament injury is graded into 3 degrees. 1st is complete tear of the ligament, which solution is Surgery. 2nd and 3rd grade injuries are partial tears which can be managed with immobilisation of the involved joint, no weight bearing, rest, Cold packs and definetely PHYSIOTHERAPY. No other alternative other than exercises. Meet an orthopaedician to the earliest.

I am facing a terrible pain in my left forearm from 2012 onwards, some times the pain is terrible that I can't bear it. It's like I need to cut open and see. That much of pain. This pain frequently occurs. Some times it last for about 1 day, some times a week, some times even a month. I had taken the MRI Scan too, but all negative the report says. Please tell me what solution is there for this pain.

Hello, Thanks for your query. I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. I can understand the severity of your pain. Was MRI done of cervical spine ? And can you send me the films? What about Neck pain ? We also need to r/o any vascular cause for it. You can try anti-inflammatory medications for some time and then let me know. Keep a plant in air conditioner room and see what happens. Can any medicine improve the plant condition. Health has factors unrelated to physical comfort. Be active be out to be healthy. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Pain in legs is a common condition. Do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

My age is 26 and I am afraid that I have flat foot or Plantar Fasciitis. My ankle gets pain when I walk /stand fr a period of time. Its very bad situation whenever I get the pain. Check your blood for uric acid levels and avoid pickles and papads in your diet and apply crepe bandage over the ankle till full recovery and also take tablet folvite 5mg once a day for six months and vitamin d3 60000iu once a week for six months.

Joints pain are symbol of starting of gout which basic cause is uric acid deposition in the joints gap. It is advisable to take less protein diet have less meat, chicken, palak, paneer, tomatoes. And get your uric acid check. You must also do little excersise and take homoeopathic medicine. Rhus tox 200 twice a day for 7 days n then report me.

hello Jafri, some tips for you 1) Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min., afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) Start natural calcium supplement. 3) Do regular stretching exercise 4) In yoga DO BHUJANGASAN, HALASAN & SURYANAMASKAR. Hi take rest keep ankle elevated apply cold pack for 20 minutes/thrice a day apply compression bandage. Do ankle toe movement. Take ultrasound therapy at physiotherapy clinic. Still pain doesn't go get it xray done and consult me via lybrate.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.
