Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Your information is very scanty and vague. So there is no possibility to give any opinion. Swelling of lower limbs can occur due to multiple causes like: Hypothyroidism, high BP, kidney problems with high BP, liver conditions etc. Therefore, unless all other details are given like her BP readings, blood glucose readings, if she has any thyroid related issue and any kidney disease, So if any investigations have been made please do give those. Thanks.

Hello lybrate user, - from how long she is suffering from the pain need to know? - apply mahanarayana taila and give hot fomentation or keep hot water bag for 15min. - take yogaraja guggulu 2-0-2 - weight lifting/ bending or twisting works to be avoided. - she need ayurveda panchakarma treatment like kati basti and basti karma. Natural Ways To Manage Arthritis

You might be aware that there is no way that you can prevent arthritis to happen except for being car. But what you can do is delay and reduce the risk of its potential onset. If your joints are healthy now, there is no guarantee that they will always be, unless, you take good care.

Do you know a few kinds of arthritis can be modified. They are:

1. Gout - Have a healthy, balanced diet which is low in cholesterol, alcohol and sugar. This will help you fight against the onset of gout.

2. Osteoarthritis - To modify the risk factor of osteoarthritis, it is important to maintain a healthy weight.

How to defeat arthritis?

1. Keep a check on your weight: If you are obese, you are putting more pressure on your joints and as a result, they wear out soon. By losing weight, you can make a lot of difference in your joint health.

2. Ensure good water intake: Our body is 70% water. And water is one of those things which is the most important for us. Staying hydrated is very important, even for your joints. Because when the body is dehydrated, and the body needs water, it uses the water stored in our bodies, incl the water in the cartilage.

3. Try to avoid any injury: No one really wants to get injured but it is important to be careful and cautious against injuries of any kind. The more injured your joints are, the more susceptible they are to wear and tear now, and arthritis later in life.

4. Don’t stress with physical tasks: There is a way and correct posture to do them, but many people ignore those and perform the tasks clumsily. This puts additional pressure on your joints.

5. Get Your share of Vitamin D: Vitamin D is very important for us. If your body has adequate amount of vitamin D, then you are less susceptible to arthritis. It is wise to get the levels tested and if low, a doctor consulted for proper medication.

My mother is suffering from 2 problem is 1. She feels as skin of her mouth from inside remains rough and like dryness & skin is going to be removing from mouth. 2. She is suffering stiffness in both of her shoulders, she can't move her arms properly upward and backward, she feels pain front side and backside of her shoulders, Please tell me why it happens.

It is called as peri arthritis shoulder and for that you can do hot water fermentation and ice therapy at home. If you have shoulder pain then the stiffness will develop more that might make the arm to have less improvement which might make you to feel more pain the arm. And also cervical pillow can be used which might make you to have better posture of the shoulder neck and arm.

There is no as such the best age for Knee replacement. Surgery is advised depending on pain & discomfort of the patient and grade of arthritis. It can sooner from 45-50 yrs to 70-80 yrs or even later also depending on patients fitness. Pt starts to walk with support from 2nd day itself post op. & it takes about 1-2 mnths for complete recovery depending from patient to patient. Cost of knee replacement depends on place where it is done, the implant used, pt comorbidities and so on... So consult the doctor before final decision.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Contrast Bath. Sports Taping. Gentle Stretching

After 1 month gape again I started to work out. But something went wrong and I did hurt my right shoulder while doing pull up and it's paining very bad now. Is thr anything I can do to kill the pain.. I don't wish to take pain killer.
