Dear user, she can suffers from cervical radiculopathy or peri arthritis shoulder. Take hot fomentation, cervical isometric spinal exercise, shoulder mobilization exercises. Do not use pillow. Place 4 layer of towel under the empty space of neck in straight position when she sleep. Avoid forward bending of neck, heavy weight lifting, side lying on affected side. She can use dfo gel. Do it for 5 days and then revert. Thanks.

I am a 63 yrs old, male, retired from a Managerial position. A patient of essential Hypertension and Diabetes (DM2), with mild cervical spondilytis . Recently passed through Diabetic Neuropathic phase with 'cramps in legs' and nerves of left hand.

You need to monitor and control DM2. Rest you get medicatios for Diabetic Polyneuropathy supplements of vitamins and Check for Cervical Spondylosis with X-ray neck. You may take Pregabalin M and Neurobion forte daily. If there is no pathology in neck bones you can do some exercises, and ruleout any other pathology like Vascular ischaemic episode of Brain. Dear user, takeinferential and ultrasonic therapy to reduce pain. At home can apply heat fermentation with diclofenac ointment. Avoid strain to body. Do back strengthening excercises.

I am suffering from tennis elbow since three months I have taken so many medicine but pain is continue what should I do? I am using ice pack 10 minutes after that I use pain relief ointment also using tennis elbow band. But problem is continue definitely reduce pain but not permanently. Kindly suggest.

Do iceing for 10 min after that do some strengthening exercises for your extensors muscle of your forearm. And use tennis elbow brace which is suport your forearm muscle and minimise the pain .you will get this brace from online or medical store.

Get your blood checked for cbc and for pain take tablet paracetamol and also start with tablet folvite twice a day for a month and revert back after completion

Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Rhus tox 200--once daily in the morning for 6 days.

Hi, I am suffering from cervical spine. Lots pain in evening & morning time on neck. Swelling on neck and sometime feel like unconscious.

Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture Most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility. Please consult a Orthopedic Physiotherapist for the right exercise plan. Best wishes.

Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Adequate sleep is necessary for growth of body and health. If you do not sleep for adequate time daily, it will hurt you big time. You can't recover by over sleeping on some other day.

Apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 twice a day after lunch and dinner. Take maharasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Avoid tea. Coffee. Junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Take green vegetables. Drink juice. Eat fruits. Drink 7-8 glass of water in a day. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Can you specify which muscles are you talking about and whether there is any previous history or current h/o injury? also you can start with a gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab paracetamol or tab etoshine for pain relief and also add a muscle relaxant for 3-5 days. Kindly let me know if there is no relief from symptoms after 3-5 days when certain investigations may be required for further evaluation.
