Respected sir I have a breathing problem whenever I do some little hard work is very difficult for to me breathing. Waiting for your suggestion.

MBBS
General Physician,
Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned difficulty breathing can be due to many pathological conditions so do few investigations to rule out any problems- 1) Do [complete blood count with differential] & ESR 2) Do a chest X-ray and ECG to rule out heart and lung related issues. 3) Do check your blood pressure if it is not within normal limits then do a clinical examination by your local doctor and do an [Angiogram]to rule out any arterial blockages. Hope that helps and wish you a good health.

Hello doctor. I'm in relationship. But I am very insecure about my boyfriend. I don't allow my boyfriend to talk to any girl even his friends, my friends and even my cousins too. I can't tolerate that. I just want that he must talk with me only not any other girl. Because my thinking is like he talk to any girl he will give importance to her also. But I want him to be mine only. He is too humble. Too kind hearted, he loves me so much even after my so much restrictions he never question me. WHY' like why I am not allow him to do so. He just obey my opinion my wish. He left his all friends in girls because of me. Sometimes I curse myself that is because of me he is alone. He left his social circle his friends in girls just because of me I think that I am responsible for his loneliness and spoil his life and even don't allow him to enjoy his college life with friends and social circle. I'm very fed up from myself. He is suffering due to my suspicious nature. And just because I would not have any problem any insecurity any stress he leaves everyone. Mostly boys don't do that. But he did. Sometimes I am fed up from my nature that why I don't allow him to talk to any girl. What's wrong with me doctor? Why m like this. Why I am doing so. I need to get out of it. I want to. But how?

Sinusitis

MBBS, MS - ENT
ENT Specialist, Delhi
Play video

Hello, I am Dr. Anup Sabharwal, ENT surgeon in a clinic in South Delhi. I am presently associated with BLK hospital. A common problem that a patient comes with is Sinusitis, which is many times is self-diagnosis and is mislabeled. Sinusitis is any complaint of the nose which should not ready be labeled as the thing, the infection of the sinusitis which is the technical term, SINUSITIS.

Any  a headache any nose stuffiness is unfortunately labeled as such. It cause may be an eye symptom, the cause may be an allergy problem. So proper ENT examination and nasal endoscopy is mostly needed to come to a diagnosis. A simple patient’s logical history can also give us a lot of information. It is a misnomer again that sinusitis has no cure. NO, a properly diagnosed nasal condition with proper treatment gives excellent results. There is again a misnomer that sinusitis surgery is not successful, there are recurrences so that is again not true. Properly selected rays give excellent results and it is not always that the surgical option is to be looked for. Sinusitis may be an infective process, maybe an allergic process, maybe because of the bony deformity of the sinuses which will detect on a CT scan.

The treatment may be in the form of short term high dose therapy or for long chronic conditions may be a little long-run treatment. The treatment may also be in the form of surgery in which we do endoscopic surgery from the nostrils. There is no cut from the outside. From the inside, the sinuses are opened up. Any polyps, infections, the fungus is cleared out. This is a routine surgery for us ENT surgeons and we know it gives very good results. The surgery may also involve, surgery on the nasal septum, on the side tissues to shrink them away to give good nasal passage and good relief from nasal conditions.

You can contact me through Lybrate either online through your text audio or video consult.

MBBS, Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO)

It is a safe surgery especially when using new age tools like Coblation Wands or LASERs. A chronically infected Tonsil is a sitting "time-bomb" in your throat. It usually contains multi-drug resistant strains of bacteria which could invade your vital organs like heart and kidneys causing catastrophic consequences. Use this app to find an ENT Surgeon equipped with either Coblation unit or a Surgical LASER and get your tonsils removed asap!

I am suffering from chronic asthma. I am asthamic since I was a child. I take 2 capsules of Rotacaps each of Budecort 200 and Asthalin when I get asthmatic attacks. And I cannot perform any Cardio exercises to keep myself healthy. Please help.

I am suffering from chronic asthma. I am asthamic since I was a child. I take 2 capsules of Rotacaps each of Budecort...
lybrate-user its a good thing that you have to take asthma meds only when you get the attacks, that itself indicates, that if you want, you can go for cardio exercises, start simply by going for walks, start initially with just may be 15-20 min of brisk walk, increase the duration of walk by 5-10 min evey 15 days till you can do brisk walking for almost 45 min to 1 hr once you r comfortable with brisk walking you gradually star adding a 30 sec to a min of sprinting to your walk. This will increase your endurance I feel the major hindrance to your cardio is not your asthma but your weight, your BMI is almost 31, if you can reduce your weight and get down your BMI to 25 (that is weight of around 72) you will feel much better. This is going to be difficult but if you want you csn easily do it at your age of 21 Remember persistence is the key to weight loss, it will be a long and tedious journey, but where there is a will there is a way All the best to you.

If steroids are given orally for long periods of time than only it will cause bone shrinkage but if given through nebulisation than it won't have any side effects

There are several things you can do to prevent a cold—they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water. The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You’re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don’t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. Take healthy balanced diet...like boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn’t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. In general you should: • get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold • staying at home will keep you from spreading germs • drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation • Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. • Humidify the rooms you are in most or your whole house if possible. • Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don’t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don’t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily
